What do you like best about the product?
Efficient and secure and can retrieve the data efficiently, faster data exploration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not user friendly, it is not fast compared to other dbs, no documentation to understand how it works or there is no information available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be very helpful to verify basic details of a specific record and relate the information through the structure of the table, data sharing

SAP implementation on DB2 on Linux with netapp filesystem
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage and less expensive database compared to Oracle. Enabling technologies like snapmirror and snapshots.
What do you dislike about the product?
monitoring and alerting functionality can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Database management and Database refresh for non production environments for SAP applications like ABAP, JAVA and Business objects.

What do you like best about the product?
The way it handles large data. Most amazing part is SQL syntax are easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface could be made even better. Now also its good but this could be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working on telecom migration project. I find it easy to create import and export files in terms of all parameters such as data, constraints, seq and other data characters
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is amazing to handle huge data. Speed is good even with big data. Coming from IBM so no doubt on reliability. I will say go for it.

I was using IBM DB2 for Data Analytics, I had Integrate it with jupyter Notebook and was passing SQL queries from it.

Be carefull to the details while setting it up, after that it's all really good

What do you like best about the product?
We are using db2 on daily basis in the retirement domain to store and access the data secuarly. The front view tool which is provided on top of db2 i.e. IBM data client studio or AQT is the best to deal with db2.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as such anything which we dislike about db2.

As a software developer we use to write new scripts and integrate it with application to implement new things.

What do you like best about the product?
From the "Installer" prospective, I like the IBM support that is provided whenever any issue or challenges comes in the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as fast as other DB like oracle and some hardware compatibility issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to store, analyse, retrieve the data. With the use of IBM Db2, operational efficiency can be achieved thus ultimately enhance the overall profitability.

What do you like best about the product?
They provide DB2 as a RDMBS with many features and easy of use. It has powerful SQL features especially for mainframe system is very beneficial. It is a great cross platform database as can be run on any server. Especially great for mainframe users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess that it is not much marketed by IBM and the new version of Db2 are not rolled out as quickly as some of its competitors. Also paid IBM support is very much required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Db2 is used for storing most of our business data very securely. We have been able to perform migration from other databases to Db2 effectively using some of the utilities provided by IBM as part of DB2. It is very much self managed database.
A reliable database for us over the years
What do you like best about the product?
The reliability and the stability of DB2 has been one of the standout reasons for us . We use the cloud version of DB2. On top of that, the DB2 on cloud product engineering team has been very supportive and responsive to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
the product support team's expertise, maturity, capacity and responsiveness to support requests needs improvement. Identification of root cause, prioritization of issues and resolution has enormous room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We build cloud native business applications and products where DB2 is used as the choice of RDBMS for us.
Just ok
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of global documentation in case you need to know more. Very standard functions as a user.
What do you dislike about the product?
How slow it runs complicated queries. Not sure if it's because of hardware infrastructure, but a query running 30 min is way too slow

Using for transactional relationships
Recommendations to others considering the product:
honestly, there are faster alternatives out there. Not sure if it was the implementation of our db2 servers, but it wasn't cloud and it wasn't up to date. Look elsewhere if you can.
