What do you like best about the product?
The versitlity that DB2 has provided to use has been out standing. we run very complex database that allows Chase to manage there business efficently.

I would like to see better interfaces with the distributed world

Can be large and slogish as it is a large product.

DB2 is the main RDBMS for two of our Data Warehouses, and is relied upon daily by thousands of our users.

DB2 is a robust, stable database management system.

Lack of continuity of features between different flavors (z/OS, LUW)

We use DB2 for our data warehouse. It services thousands of users in both the business and the I/S areas.

What do you like best about the product?
Ist easy to install and manage. Its quite a good database and is well engineered for performance
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not have historic and forensic details. Need something like AWR and advisory reports to pull data which is useful for application teams to investigation

DB2 admin and user experience is separated and good

Nothing specific to dislike with DB2. I have heard oracle developers mentioning that there are new features wiht oracle yet to be available in db2. Not getting any name of feature on top of my head.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Am using websphere commerce server and DB2 which comes with that. So our website is functionaing good. I have previoisly seen issues when WCS was combined with Oracle during upgrade and extensions. With WCS, DB2 works best.

the cost can be a challenge especially in areas such as mine where economy and markets are under pressure

DB2 is the heart of many enterprise organizations.
The ease of use is best about DB2, it can be accessed thru new age tools like IDZ which makes it easier

DB2 is best fit for all our Digital intitiatives , DB2 can be accessed by chatbots with tech like zOS Connect
Rock Solid Database
What do you like best about the product?
In all my years in IT Development, we never had (to my knowledge) any problems with loss of data by the system..
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is a little itchy with its configuration and not that clear on what exactly is wrong. For example while installing a CM8 instance the DB2 Startup failed with some obscure error message, and the reason was simply some missing user acl's.

We use it integrated in CM8 and as DB2/z for our core product
