Best database and easy to install and use.
What do you like best about the product?
It is very reliable and has robust backend. Database is quite lightweight and very fast. It can easily connects with other like Sql server and tables can view in other ways. DB2 has security features such as authentication, authorization, trusted context, auditing, encryption, and fine-grain controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much dislikes but one thing that it required some high configuration hardware to install so maintenance would be costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Handling large set of data and optimisation, which really helped to grow the business. Features like lightweight and fast makes things work very smoothly and able to complete project on time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing is expensive and UI interface is difficult
Lots to learn and needs high technical support
Huge download size with tons of bloatware
CRUD Operation is diffrent from PostGreSql, MySQL,MSSQ,
Cannot run multiple secondary nodes or cluster without additional software purchases

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it as the database software for our financial core software.
We also use it to query data for business intelligence. This is used by the whole organization and will allow us to pull reports based on requests.

What do you like best about the product?
The IBM DB2 database is of the cool new technologies through which one can easily create a database on the cloud without having to worry about any operating system and does not have any limitation. It is easily scalable and also does not require any major set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well I have used both the Amazon RedShift and the IBM DB2 instance and just feel that implementation wise it is a little tougher to implement when compared to AWS. However it also is a robust platform supporting major day to day operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any business who want to set up a database, can now quickly connect to IBM DB2 and not have to worry about hiring DBA for managing the access, everything is internally managed by IBM so it really easy for any developer to get a hang of it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are wanting to set up a database for your project then there this can be one of simplest approaches that the company can take.

You can size dashDB to your current needs and expand its capability later on as the needed.
dashDB allow easy connectivity to the cloud so that my network engineer can set make the required setup in very less time.
IBM dashDB's ability to store and provide fast access to data proves it a race winner for me.

IBM dashDB could be clearer about the technology used to deliver the particular tier of the service you buy.

It is very fast and very db connection and it provide command line interface so this is bigger asset of ibm all data is store in warehouses

The best thing about this IBM DB2 is that it supports docker which is very useful for deploying pre-configured applications.

The license cost is very expensive.
Its difficult to get support for this software and leaving with very few option for the support. i.e. we need to get support from IBM.

It generates structured data format for unstructured data which is one of the good features. It also does auto indexing which is useful for processing the query at an faster rate.

Its a good product but have to admit that its bit expensive.

I have been using db2. It is more easily scripted and automated.

Basic support is only available for 3 years

Multiple jobs can be run at once using the task scheduler

Not always the most user friendly settings and start up with, that could be improved.

I used to work with IBM db2 warehouse for managing a large amount of data retrieved from user experience in the web. We needed to manipulate it and export it for brainstorming and marketing decisions.
