Easy to use and accurate
What do you like best about the product?
It's super simple to add targets, see results, including any scan failures that need to be resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
No option to create custom dashboards. For example, have all high profile applications or locations on one screen to see results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to check our systems against one tool, rather than several. This means the team can work faster at tackling any potential threats,

What do you like best about the product?
The price model is just what's needed for a small infrastructure paying only for what you need.

What do you dislike about the product?
Other than it's not free, we haven't found anything yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder will aid us in assessing and remediating vulnerabilities on our path to SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance.
An intelligent and easy solution to minimise your appsec risk
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked how intruder integrated with our internal company comms (ie Slack), this meant we stayed on top of the notifications it produced. Time is critical when it comes to security vulns so it was helpful to have messages from Intruder next to our daily workflows.
The team at Intruder were available to us at short notice when we needed support gaining cyber security insurance and the associated requirements that came with it. They were quick to re-perform a pen test and actions needed to help us understand our progress with specific vulnerabilities. I felt that this personal touch and expertise would be missing with other solutions I came across.

What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes come to mind, as I said I think the product is very good and fit our needs well. It did work seamlessly in the background and sometimes we'd go some time without any direct interaction with Intruder, but if anything no news is good news when it comes to application security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder periodically ran penetration tests and vulnerability scanning on our applications, and provided us with detailed and clear results, including any actions we needed to take to remedy the findings, alongside their respective urgency assessments.

What do you like best about the product?
They don't waste any time getting to the bottom of your issue, providing you with examples, and best steps for remediation. Super fast response and quick resolution, all chat based easy to understand, send screenshots back and forth and they'll always take the extra minute to confirm answers to all your questions
What do you dislike about the product?
They were closed for the Queen's death so we had to wait a few days for service, but that was completely acceptable. That was really the only negative thing I've ever experienced with them, it was hard to find anything to fill this field with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder is helping us get a better understanding of our client's network security needs, using their state of the art vulnerability scanning engine to protect us from vulnerabilities we haven't even heard of yet!

Vulnerability and Remediation
Great tool for maintaining sight of your external endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
We have a number of external sites, and with varying technology stacks so being able to keep abreast of emerging threats makes our lives easier. The monthly scans as well the emerging threat (immediate targeted checks) scans gives us piece of mind. The connectivity to Azure is also helpful for keeping up with some of the more dynamic apps we maintain. We have it plugged into Teams and Jira so we can get visibility of new threat scans, and any potential vulnerabilities are fed into the service desk which is great for auditing and SOC. We also use the API to pull status info into PowerBI for monthly reporting. It is also great for audit purposes as it gives a clear demonstration that things are scanned constantly and the results are easy to walk people through.
In the time we have been using it the number of checks executed by Intruder has gone up by almost a thousand so the rate of threats Intruder is maintaining and checking for is great value.

What do you dislike about the product?
The recently implemented authenticated option is still a bit expensive per endpoint - if you have a lot of endpoints it would really add up so hopefully that will come down or be bundled better in the future. We have had the occasional false report which we have had to configure to snooze but that is a rarity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annual penetration testing over a number of sites would normally result in some findings you would only know about once a year - leveraging Intruder to constantly scan means we are fixing immediately and means that pen testing when it does happen is a much better result!
Discoverability, Threat Intelligence and Peace of Mind
What do you like best about the product?
We use Intruder to scan our externally exposed endpoints for real vulnerabilities. With auto-discovery, a very proactive set of scans against emerging threats and solid notifications it is a tool I can forget about unless I need to. Rock solid UX

Early on we struggled a little with deploying the AWS IAM role used by Intruder in our AWS Landing Zone, because the External ID varied each time, but they were quick to remediate

We want to know where we're vulnerable before anyone else. Intruder is a critical part of that story, freeing up engineers to ensure no issues appear

Reports can be confusing in the beginning, but once you get use to it all good

What do you like best about the product?
Intruder is a really easy system to use; the interface is clean and you can start and schedule scans without much effort. One of the features I like the most is the continuous automated scans for emerging threats. Customer Support has always been fast to respond and happily receive feedback about the product. It was also really easy to hook up to Slack and Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
Authenticated scanning is a new feature for Intruder and something that is currently a bit lacking in power. There's (currently) no way to validate the authentication is working and it's not possible to script any login process for those flows which are a bit more complicated. The Jira integration works but could be a bit more powerful and feature-complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder is allowing us to perform PEN-testing scans on our public and authenticated services, giving us assurance that we are running services that are not susceptible to common hacks and helping to fulfil part of our ISO27001 compliance.

Nothing to be honest, it just all works.
