Easy to use, well structured product to manage your code
What do you like best about the product?
Good interface, usefull management tools, flexible settings, a lot of integrations and amazing project and code managment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some part of UX. Sometimes it is very difficult to jumb between the right pages of projects and repositories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep the code safety and can manage the development inside the team without issues. Also we are using it to store some critical tasks, using the board.

I liked the groups system of Gitlab System as it allow you to group projects into directories and give users to several projects at once.

It allows us to track our code changes and so helps us to see the changes visually without fear of losing our source code. Also it allows to create groups and group projects together.

Gitlab community edition is need to self-hosted server.
It server is needed for minium 4Gb memory and expensive disk space ,as for me , it is not pleasure.

What is most valuable?
The tool helps to integrate CI/CD pipeline deployments. It is very easy to learn. Its security model is good.
What needs improvement?
GitLab could consider introducing a code-scanning tool. Purchasing such tools from external markets can incur charges, which might not be favorable. Integrating these features into GitLab would streamline the pipeline and make it more convenient for users.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with the product for six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I haven't encountered any bugs in GitLab.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In our company, I estimate that around 30 people use GitLab, primarily for branching and repository management.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Our organization decided to use GitLab because it's easy to use, and its user interface is more intuitive than other tools.
How was the initial setup?
The tool's deployment is easy.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend using GitLab. It provides a repository and API, allowing you to create deployment pipelines. I rate it a ten out of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
GIT repository is widely used for version control. Handling PR is too easy. Tracking history is so convenient. Cherry picking also possible with easy way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large files showing in PR is some time not easy to look for review

Protecting the main branch so everything can be reviewed in PR. CICD integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab's UI is just so much more chill and easy to get around. You jump in and everything's right where you expect it to be. The CI/CD setup in GitLab – it's straight-up awesome. You don't have to mess around with a bunch of tools; it's all baked in and works like a charm!

The documentation could use a glow-up. It's there, but digging through it to find exactly what you need is a bit of a headache.

It's a great alternative to GitHub. We use GitLab for version control and managing all devs.
