OS easy to work with and free

  • March 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed the open-source operating system to be able to work with web servers for linux and use as a web server
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative thing is that some software is not supported and we need to find alternatives but usually that is easy to solve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to have an OS that is free and have access to the available software for a work basis. And it's lighter than most versions of the Windows os. I also didn't have virus problems on this OS.

Enterprise Linux for a cost

  • January 04, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows our company to use Linux in a more serious role because of the level of support we get with the subscription. I was also very impressed with their documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model was a bit confusing to begin with and also expensive for a smaller company with fewer support needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Red Hat Enterprise Linux solved our problem of needing a fully supported Linux-based platform on which we could run some of our security scanning software. While it is a cost, the peace of mind and ability to get back on our feet if an issue should arise is still worth it for us.

A Stable and Robust Operating System for Business

  • December 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is more secure than other distributions because it has a number of security features integrated into the operating system, including SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) and the Firewall Configuration Tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost: The price of Red Hat Enterprise Linux is one of its key drawbacks. It is a paid operating system, and some users may find the cost to be prohibitive.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux offers certain customization possibilities, although these are few compared to those provided by competing open source operating systems like CentOS or Fedora.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is straightforward to deploy in both large and small contexts due to its ability to scale up or down as necessary.

It is simple to incorporate into the current IT infrastructure because it is compatible with a wide range of hardware and software.
