Best System I use at Work!!
What do you like best about the product?
To be able to map out our analytical data.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I don't have enough time to play with all the options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am getting rid of excel sheet data and creating mapping dashboards.

What do you like best about the product?
Esri arcgis is a phenomenal mapping technology.
It is expertly builty to handle all our design and mapping needs.
It has a massive storage capable of storing large sized data sets with an easy retrieval process.

What do you dislike about the product?
Arc gis is a costly software to acquire and maintain. Its installation is in computers with high processing speed, and they are mostly expensive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Esri ArcGIS for watershed delineation, mapping, and planning. It is built with a wide range of tools and features to streamline the whole mapping process.
Powerful Mapping & Analysis Tool
What do you like best about the product?
GIS allows you to do almost any type of mapping & analysis you can imagine. It is a universal tool in the United States which means you can get data for almost any part of the country.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve for advanced analysis and features. The power of the tool - the large list of commands and the way they need to be combined to achieve your desired results - is also its main limitation. It is not easy to pick up or figure out by trial and error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My project teams use GIS to create basemaps when we do not have a survey, analyze large-scale areas such as entire cities or many acres of land, and find out information via downloading public datasets (topography, utilities, streets / roads, drainage ways).
After completing the Mooc two courses on Esri I got so many knowledge of GIS and that feels nice.
What do you like best about the product?
After completing the MOOC two courses on Esri, I got so much knowledge of GIS, which feels nice. The Cartography was very interesting and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was doing a QGIS course and that was translated from French to English, and when I was going for the material, I was unable to find the material on that platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am making a geological map through Arc GIS and GIS Pro. Before, it was like we were making maps by hand. We are preparing them with ESRI products, which feels good because we are in the digital world now.
Easy to learn

Intuitive interface made it very easy to learn and be productive almost immediately.

Layering approach can get clunky during editing

Cost effective tool for small shops
town planning or regional planning does not work anymore without GIS

easy to use, has a vast variety of toolboxes, accessible cartography tool

Online base maps are very slow to load.

I'm an urban planner, and in my job, you deal with a lot of databases and statistics. transforming those tables into visuals (maps) is a great solution

10 times better than QGIS
It has a very simple GUI and is so powerful yet easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Making maps and performing analysis on geospatial data is so easy with readily available toolsets. Also very easy to edit data in your attribute table

The lack of ability to process drone data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spatial analysis tools are very useful. Suitablity analysis for various agricultural and natural phenomena can easily be mapped out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ESRI products are powerful and with online functions that alows you to seamlessly synce your data.
ESRI is the industry standard for GIS Software and would recommend it to anyone.

The customer service is excellent as with the operational side of ESRI software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the software crashes quite frequently and needs very high specs on the PC to perform.

I use ESRI day to day for my role in the workplace.
Good experience in general specially with raster analysis
What do you like best about the product?
I like arcgis cause it's easy to use for a novel user, it's also fantastic the Phyton console, I find that's the fastest GIS for raster analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
I've found some problem some years ago calculating viewsheds from a point and at the end I've used anlther software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automate some tasks, arcPy is better than the python console of free GIS
