I love Pluralsight!

What do you like best about the product?
The videos themselves are really great quality. I'm a C# .net web developer, and I learned a lot that has already helped me in my job. Also, there are a ton of videos ranging in all different topics, so I can teach myself additional skills for the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. If I had to nitpick, I think some of the presenters talk slow, but I can easily fix that by speeding up the video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to implemented a Umbraco 7 website, but only had experience with Umbraco 4. The pluralsight courses on umbraco helped a lot. Also, I had to use Entity Framework, and some more advanced LINQ, and once again, Pluralsight gave me the insight I needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! You won't regret it.

A great resource

What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely easy to use and navigate. I like that you can measure you're skills so you can focus on the skills you need to improve most and not spend lots of time on an area that you are already very experienced in. The learning paths are great so you don't have to find the different courses/ videos yourself, you just do the courses in the order suggested and you can skip through sections you don't need to do . The interactive parts of the courses are really useful for getting hands on practice
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good if there were more interactive courses as it can be challenging at times to spend hours watching videos to learn something. Quizzes at the end of courses to test knowledge would be useful to reinforce the learning and to guage how much of the course you understand and what you might need to look over again
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an apprentice I have a lot to learn so Pluralsight has been great in giving me an insight into lots of different areas such as Testing with CodedUI, SQL, CSS and HTML and C# as well as networking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a really useful tool with tonnes of info on loads of different topics. It's very easy to use and easy to find suitable courses. Most topics have several different topics so if you don't like the style of one you can pick another.

Insightful and Inspiring

What do you like best about the product?
I love the detail and enthusiasm that a lot of the authors show in there subject matter. They give great insight and real world scenarios to there subject matter too which helps people relate to the courses. I also love the Pluralsight IQ where you can measure your knowledge and experience and share that on social networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything I can think of, maybe setting a cut off date for course. Found myself watching odd courses then finding they were done in 2014 and technology has moved on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well i'm moving from more technical testing roles into more lower management roles things like test management, scrum master and the insight provided has been invaluable.

I like the way the videos are very straightforward and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There may be way to many videos for some of these subjects that are in Pluralsight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not been able to use the training since I am an Analyst working my way to an Architect position in our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great site to refresh and grow your IT/ software / design skills

What do you like best about the product?
I love the courses I attended, I was able to grow my software knowledge, learn new technologies. The teachers I learned from were responsive, there is a discussion option where you can ask questions. For me the C# and the web courses were the most useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used subtitles sometimes, and it didn't match : ex JQuery was written as "Jake worry" It didn't bother me that much but I think it can be confusing for someone who solely relies on the subtitles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to learn & implement new web technologies I am currently using at work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend to anyone who want to learn new programming it or design skills.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to search for a course in a particular technology. The app is awesome too. Whatever is not completed in the desktop can be continued during my journey back home while in the train.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more courses in few technologies. Need to cater more towards professional certification exam preparations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an easy access website and app is very user friendly. I'm able to spend more time learning courses here than on Youtube which I used to use earlier.

Great resource for self paced technical training!

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the videos are generally just a few minutes in duration (some subjects lend to longer videos for good reason) so if I only have 10 minutes to spare, I can get one or two videos complete, and easily come back at a later time and pick up where I left off. Additionally the smaller, more numerous videos makes it very easy to go back and review a particular subject without having to search through a two hour video.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative thing I have experienced with Pluralsight so far is only with a couple of the content videos -- the prerequisites were not entirely complete, because even though I met what was listed, there were several topics in the video that I was not aware of, and had to go search the internet for more information in order to understand what the instructor was talking about.

I have no complaints about the Pluralsight platform itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working on expanding my skills for software development, but for now, I am focusing on the skills that do not include learning new languages. I'm interested in learning new development paradigms, like TDD and writing more easily testable code, and concepts like iterative development. It's much easier to learn new languages when you already have those conceptual skills and can apply them to just about any language.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it's a great service with great content, and it's my go-to for online learning regarding Information Technology.

Overall positive experience and easy to understand

What do you like best about the product?
I like how well the topics are discussed in the modules. They are very thorough and easy to follow. I enjoy most of the examples provided and how the instructor usually provides visual examples.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike portions where you are supposed to follow along. For example, I am taking a intro to javascript course and when I am trying to follow along with the instructor, it is a little fast paced. While I do pause the video to allow myself to catch up, if the instructor slowed down just a bit, it would make it easier to follow alongside them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Pluralsight has helped me solve is helping me understand the new technology I am working with. I recently moved to a department that uses Cisco networking equipment, which I had no previous experience. The Pluralsight courses involving CCNA have been extremely helpful in getting me up to speed. I am now familiar enough with commands and the equipment to speak intelligently about them with my peers.

Excelent self-learning experience

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very user-friendly. The Skill and Role IDs are an excellent form of measuring the skill-set and to improve it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile apps are not as good as the actual web platform, even taking into account the reality of the difference between browser and device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem trying to be solved is keeping up to date with the tools of the trade. Using pluralsight, I've been not only to keep up with tech but also to learn new tools and stacks.
