Loving Pluralsight Technical Training

  • October 09, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the wide variety of class offerings. I love how teams can be created and channels formed. I'm starting to investigate more and learn about the skills assessments. Overall, I think it's a wonderful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Either I'm unaware of the best way to do it, but it always seems a little overly complicated to return to a class I've only partially completed. I'm also uncertain if there's a way I can remove the classes I'd begun, but realized weren't what I was looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every time I log into Pluralsight I learn something that can assist with either a problem at work, or more importantly training that can help my organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue adding updated content. In Information Technology, things change quickly and outdated content is only partially effective.

Would not be where I am without Pluralsight

What do you like best about the product?
Two things that I like best about Pluralsight are the class viewing interface and the Paths. I appreciate the logical grouping of courses together to help me learn a specific technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing about the Pluralsight product do I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have learned many different technologies and products leveraging Pluralsight to give me a foundational understanding and how-to experience. Topics I've learned are Photoshop, Swift, Java, Python, and many more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is not another online course provider that I have seen that has presented the content in a logical manner and easy to use interface.

One of the best ways to quickly get up to speed with the latest development related technologies

  • October 09, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
How knowledgeable the presenters are. They give you insight into specific technologies that are cutting edge and show you best practices so you can immediately be productive. Many times I have went from zero knowledge on a specific subject or technology to feeling very confident with that same technology just by going through a single course.
What do you dislike about the product?
More hands on stuff would be nice, but not required. Though they have been adding more hands on stuff in recent years, so it seems they are heading in the right direction. It would also be nice if they created some very short to the point courses as well. For people who are pretty knowledgeable already but want a quick to-the-point overview of something. Sometimes a 3-6 hour isn't necessary and you just want a quick refresher. But this is also just a wish and not something completely necessary
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building software that adds business value. Pluralsight is always my go to for quickly getting up to speed on any specific technology. I have not gone without a subscription since I learned about it over 5 years ago and even, required the last company I worked for to provide it to the employees as part of my job offer. The tools that Pluralsight provides are invaluable to me as a Software Developer and I recommend Pluralsight to other developers on a regular basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You wont regret it for a minute!

Learning multiple technical skills at once

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The variety of courses offered and the "paths" that help lead users towards certifications or well rounded skill sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited amount of interaction available with many courses. DataCamp is a great example of where I would love to see certain courses headed for PluralSight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I received my PMP, and started using Python in my current job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
PluralSight in coordination with a company like DataCamp is a perfect combination to learn a new skill quickly.

Good Service, can be much better considering the market requirements

What do you like best about the product?
Its a great platform for people like me with very less time on hand but need to catch up to the newer platforms as the job responsibilities grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm looking for more of the lab access that could be accompanied with the courses.
Most of the times, installing and setting up servers is challenging, specially when you are on the go.
Adding some of the lab access along with the courses instead of having to navigate to multiple web platforms for practice would help me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the Mobility and Virtualization domains of the IT industry, with integration of multiple technologies and products.
Pluralsight has helped me understand the complex issues at my own pace.

Very good video player, great content but slow navigation

What do you like best about the product?
Diverse content, not only development but also business related. Content is up to date and provides a good view on what is happening in the IT landscape. Not only from a development point of view but also infrastructure, governance and IT-Pro.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating through the site is slow, this could be improved. The clicks are OK, but then you are presented with an empty screen and the data comes later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick up to date about technology. How to use products, frameworks and software libraries
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the trial a go. It gives a good overview of what Pluralsight provides and is capable of
