Very user-friendly visual workflow designer tool that does great in data preparation and modeling.
Making it possible and quick to carry out all kinds of transformations, filters, joins, and calculations without coding.
Perfect for building and testing complete models because it is so easy and quick to process from design to production.
What do you dislike?
I am delighted to work with RapidMiner without having trouble.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Provide accurate predictions.
Building and processing models are easy and fast.

Rapid Miner Feature Review

  • October 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
It's a user-friendly tool that allows data analysts and data scientists to run several ML models, statistical analyses and perform EDA on the same platform. Allows a variety of plugins for integration and is compatible with iOs & Android systems.
What do you dislike?
Rapid Miner software is not cost-effective. It doesn't support customization of base models for Machine Learning. Searching operators proves to be challenging at times, considering the interface design.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are building predictive models using Machine Learning for monitoring credit card defaults. Rapid Miner provides an end-to-end platform for data preparation, model development, testing, and deployment. The significant advantage of using this tool is that it allows to drag and drop modules that otherwise require complex coding. Its provides a robust suite of ML algorithms that can process unstructured data. Its text mining tool is potent and easy to comprehend.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Preferable for data analysts, data scientists, and analytics managers working in the banking & insurance domain. It's a go-to platform if you're looking to build and roll out predictive models with bare minimum coding.

cluster experience with k-means

  • September 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
You can save the k-means clusters models and use them again to find out insights with several data.
What do you dislike?
First, until the year 2015, Rapidminer was collaborative, but now it is licensed software.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I design a system to find fraud behaviors or interesting business practices through financial transactions when one element (a person) of clusters suddenly (from month to month) change its group.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For those studying data mining, theory, algorithms, and working with actual data, I recommend using RapidMiner.

Accessible Data Science without Cutting Corners

  • June 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Visual process flow, comprehensive set of current analysis tools, cross validation, and sliders for scenario/what-if analyses. And all of this is free for academic use for both professors and students.
What do you dislike?
Lack of learning resources available to get started from scratch. There are lots of videos, so this may be a non-issue for most learners. I prefer books and there is nothing except one Marketing Analytics textbook (Hair et al 2021) that is current, and uses rapidminer for some analyses.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Everything from exploratory analyses to machine learning models and deployment. It is the only resource I need to teach students about machine learning and its applications in business without starting with R or Python as a beginner in just 18 weeks in a semester.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use YouTube to get started. Lots of learning resources on YouTube.

  • June 03, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
No requirement that students learn even the basics of a programming language and yet with RapidMiner they can estimate and evaluate machine learning models quickly
What do you dislike?
Other than typos that I find in some of the explanations in the tutorials, RapidMiner has exceeded my expectations to date. thank you!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
teaching challenges especially in respect to binary classifiers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Accessible machine learning software which is increasingly compatible with python and R. Strong recommendation.
