Reduced the complexity of having a consolidated dashboard

Specific skilling is needed for operating Sisense, so little tough to get trained people on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an e-commerce product company. In very high-level language, we are getting a clearly picture of the conversion ratio. It has helped in evaluating the loss and profit margins when platform fluctuate. We can visualise easily in Sisense.
Powerful BI tool that is also easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clear and easy to use and the data design tools are powerful and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a resource hog and needs a lot of power under the hood to run. Not sure how it compares to other BI tools in that regard so it may just be the nature of the amount of data being used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a ton of data and needed a way to pull it all together and try to gain some insight into where we were strongest and where we were weakest. Sisense has made it possible to sort through all of that.

1. Data building taking time on large tables.Elastic cube design/model is decides the dashboard performance
2.I haven't an option to add new customised roles
3. Adding new connectors requires knowledge on data base.It is not as simple as just adding database supported jar file.We have to perform additional action item on downloaded files from cdata.

Good overall. Sisense Support team was very helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
Jayson Yurcho was very helpful. We were working on a project with tight timeline and wanted to make sure certain features are provided to the clients. Jayson provided us scripts and/or elasticube changes and other ways to achieve the desired functionality. Sisense is useful for visualizing data and provides a variety of chart options. The ability to use scripting to do additional changes makes sisense very useful. Also, the Sisense API makes it very useful for white labeling and integration into an enterprise solution. Sisense also has the abstraction layer called the elasticube. This allows us to make dashboards that need special elasticubes. Especially, some of our dashboards had strict security requirements which were met by making special elasticubes. This made it possible for us to do some of our most complex dashboards, especially those with highly proprietary and secure data which had strict sharing requirements
What do you dislike about the product?
Sisense sorting in pivot tables/tables is very poor. When more than one item is used in columns, the values cannot be sorted directly by ascending or descending, but keep sorting within the grouping. This is a major disadvantage in using the dashboard. Clients pointed this out, and all we could say was export to excel. We want the clients to work in the dashboard and not in excel,
Sisense versions change very quickly and not everything seems backward compatible. Especially, all the scripting that is done.

Various ways of visualizing the data in the main problem solved. Focus is on ease of use. Sisense overall is easy to use. It allows more users to feel comfortable using the product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sisense is very good and easy to use. Looks nice and professional. Scripting and API make it more powerful.

We are not able to download files bigger than 500mb, after a few minutes waiting is when we know the download failed because of the size.

Sisense is very powerful and allows for easy analysis of millions of rows. Is very easy and fast to develop a widget.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the options we require from the API, are only available in the version for Linux.
Some existing options in the Elasticube manager are missing from the web interface.

Easy and fast reporting to clients. It is very easy to develop new widgets and dashboards, once you have you Elasticube done.

Ability to import data from different sources with ease that helps user to visualize concatenated data. Also there are numerous options as plugin's to connect to various third party sources.

Probably missing notifications, also I haven't experienced to an extent to have a clean dislike

Sisense has extensive REST APIs along with multiple embedding options making it easier to integrate it in host application.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our use case we plan to put forward a platform to enable end user to perform ad-hoc analysis of incentive plans for their sales reps. From technical front it involved heavy data modelling along with a need to provide an elegant UI to design dashboard to see comparative analysis of the plans being modified.
Sisense's ElastiCube technology enabled us in faster data movement from one system to another. Also it quick queriablity through JAQL demonstrated quick response time on dashboard.
