Sisense Review

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The analytics are the best feature and the reason we purchased Sisense
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for creating data models could be improved. Also, there are two of them. Please pick one and make it better. We were asked not to use the web interface for creating / managing our models. So we RDP into our sever to use the "older" one. However, we have many tables and it's difficult to see them all and know their relationships.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to give our customers a 10000 ft. view of their data that they didn't have before.

Advance analytical tool

What do you like best about the product?
This is an API cloud based application which has helped me to blend the data that has been gathered from various platforms and then helped me to turn it into a new analytical application. As I belong to sales and marketing, so this platform has equipped me with better insight if various processes going on our different pages, thus it has enabled me to generate a report based on data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very costly solution, which restricts its usage. Further I have faced some issue about their licensing. In addition their annual plans are also not user friendly. we can only get these quality solutions on the expense of extra money; this matter is of great concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the best thing is that I did not f ace any issue in its understanding, even I am not a technical person and still it has made me better in digital marketing, PPC, search engine optimization and helped in overcoming the complexities. Now I can easily judge my campaigns and take a look around my multi channels much efficiently and this is all because of Sisense.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will surely recommend this tool to all type of business set ups it is not bounded by the nature of the jobs usually. Right from sakes to marketing and even customer service providers can get much benefit from this amazing application.

Perfect for analyzing the entire system,

What do you like best about the product?
Currently I do not understand why I did not find this system before I find it a very easy software or application to implement senses software to my system currently there are very few that use this Sisense system. However, for me the system has worked perfectly, it allows me to monitor absolutely Everything from the marketing of my website, visits, sales, finances or audits, is a system that must be used throughout the company for being an optimal service and with various tools, in my opinion they are more interactive and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like it for now I do not have any type of complaint about it it can be large amounts of different tools in a single system that can harm the user who does not have prior knowledge it is true that its tools are very easy to use since they are interactive, without However, seeing so many can complicate the moment of using it, creating more interactive guides would be the solution,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now with the system that I implement it is easier for me to be able to monitor what I do or use in my navigation, in new clients, up to where the marketing campaign went, sales everything is much easier an analysis of the system with Sisense saves time and money by monitoring the entire system. happy because the system has worked very well in my opinion I have had favorable results encouraging the company to use this software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend because it works and offers systems to avoid errors and control the pages and processes in the company, more than a control it is a process of analysis to avoid the loss of some important information, it worked very well for us, for this reason I recommend,

Sisense Product Review

  • June 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sisense does an outstanding job at consolidating data from various disparate sources. It offers a variety of tools to view your data based on a number of different metrics that may reside in different storage formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although far easier to utilize then some other solutions on the market, it still has a steep learning curve, especially if you want to use it to its full potential. To truly take advantage of the platform, you will need a very good understanding of your database technologies as well as a working knowledge of Java.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At our company, our needs are pretty basic. We use it to track customer usage of our facilities and gain insight as to what/when/how our facilities are utilized. Internally, we use it to keep track of our maintenance and response metrics. It helps us to quickly discover where we are doing well and what requires additional attention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to have plenty of in house knowledges as it relates to you different data platforms. Along with this, you should endeavor to have someone with good Java scripting skills. Sisense is very powerful, but it is not intuitive on how to set up complex dashboards. We lacked both skill sets and as a result, highly underutilize the platforms strengths.

Sisense’s Customizable Embedded Platform Accelerated Development for our Startup

  • June 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sisense provides a flexible, broad, and scalable analytics platform that adapts to our growing needs. We've taken full advantage of the white labeling and configuration options to seamlessly integrate Sisense's capabilities within our platform. We layer in custom development with APIs and JavaScript when needed for specific use cases(user authorization, data security, etc.) . We demonstrate to our clients the wide range of options for generating intelligence from building visualizations with the drag and drop interface to "off-the-shelf" and customizable ML/AI capabilities. Using elasticubes instead of a traditional data warehouse has saved us time and money as a growing startup. The ability to connect to different data sources and data warehouses gives confidence to our clients that we can accommodate any of their future needs.

The Sisense client team has taken the time to understand our business's goals and are committed to helping us achieve them. Having centralized continuity across development, support, consulting and the client team(as opposed to having to use outside consultants) has made a difference for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some intermittent performance challenges in our on-prem environment, but we've resolved those with support and things are running well. In some cases while there is a custom option to accomplish the functionality needed, it would be nice for it to be built in as a standard capability. We've seen this in the mobile UI space for certain uses cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense's capabilities to empower users on our platform to blend together different data sources and create stunning intelligence products. We then use Sisense's APIs and our platform to deploy those insights to specific users in a secure, streaming viewer.
We've been able to get to market quickly and have saved time and money utilizing off-the-shelf embedded capabilities and adding in our own customizations as needed.

Different ways to present your data to customer. Helps in bringing more insights of your data.

  • June 30, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I personally liked the way dashboards work in Sisense. The way all the columns are coming in filter and the data is already de-duped.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are bugs and those bugs are coming back all the times. I feel this bugs resolution should be available in community or documentations.
There are few improvements needed in elasticube, it does not allow me to undo-redo changes. I have to do those manually. Also when using custom tables and changes in base tables you have to modify custom tables even when the query will work fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once Sisense is setup, showing insights of data is is easier. I feel now we can give users more control on how they want to see data.

Great product, great team - helped us unlock our data's potential

  • June 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Implementing Sisense has allowed us to re-imagine how we access our data. It has empowered our analysts and consultants, whilst de-coupling their work from that of our developers. Our clients like the professional look and feel, as well as the speed and responsiveness. The "Jumpstart" programme was a godsend when it came to training our consultants and analysts to use the new tool. As a bonus, we are able to rapidly explore new data sets with minimal development time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mongo DB support was less mature that we'd expected and we've had some hiccoughs along the way. Also, whilst the Jumpstart programme and the support teams were individually excellent, we have fed back that these could benefit from being more closely aligned during the onboarding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to deliver best-in-class analytics without re-inventing the wheel. Our data is hugely powerful, but producing reports to effectively utilise this power was proving a highly time-consuming task. With Sisense we have empowered our consultants and analysts to produce their own reports and release these directly to our customers.

Great Tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a very small learning curve and it's really easy to use. It has a really good performance and at his plenty of applicable use cases, the deployment is very simple and it's easy to rebrand, also the Administration is pretty easy, and it's built to hit the ground
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the amount of widgets available is a little bit too restrictive, and the availability to use formulas seems a little restrictive, but it is offset by the ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data modeling is really easy and user adoption is really easy.

Analyst & Designer Perspective

  • June 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pull internal and external data sources together. Create your own computed fields and tables. Works really well with large datasets. Design features and options are fantastic. They have really thought through the bulk of formulas that would be needed for most use case scenarios, including those for more granular and rich data purposes like regression analysis. Ease of use has been really important for our user base, and Sisense makes this really simple via integration of Single Sign-On, default filters, pulse alerts, reporting options, and more. More than anything, customization has been big for us. The ability to change everything from our elasticube setup to creating random test dashboards or new visualizations of the data to potentially roll out to our system, Sisense gives us complete freedom to work with our data in whatever way makes the most sense for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
New releases tend to have a lot of bugs to work out, so we usually end up waiting a while to upgrade, and even with waiting, we still usually have some fallout that tends to impact at least one of our data connections to some extent. That fallout usually requires a few weeks minimum of trying to resolve the connection issue, and getting our data to line back up.

We have also found a couple of very random instances with the pre-built functions, where they don't actually work the way they should, and upon submitting a support ticket, support confirming they duplicated the issue and agree it doesn't perform the function it should, all that we have been told is that it is in someone else's hands now and when they can get to it (if it's important enough) they will try to resolve the issue. But interestingly enough, the function (that doesn't perform the function it should perform) isn't removed from the functions list in the design/admin view.

It would also be great if Sticky filters was an option with the regular license, and not an add-on. This should just be a general feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a franchise system across the entire US and it can be difficult to provide 1-on-1 personalized training to each staff member in our system who needs to, not only access all of the different web sources and databases that we use, but also understand what the data means and make quality business decisions from that data. Using Sisense allows us to provide all of that data in a single place (instead of eight different browser tabs). It is up-to-date, easy to interpret, and easy to create reports to share with their team members. Usage Analytics has also been really great for our internal team, because it lets us know what dashboards our users are engaging with most and least, which helps us understand what data that find useful, and where we may need to change how we are visualizing the data, or what data we are providing our external teams.
