Overall, my experience with Sisense is satisfactory.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and integration. Minimalistic view of various features in a single dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Specifically felt hard to resolve elastic cube build failures when handling considerable amount of data. The builds were inconsistent sometimes which made it a bit difficult to reconcile data in a few scenarios. Quick resolution would be really appreciated moving on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gain visual insights, transforming data. Easy way for analysts to make minor changes to get the required data by applying custom filters.
Falls short compared to other BI Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customization from the standpoint of changing the fonts colors and buttons to make it consistant with our companies colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Falls really short compared to Power BI and Tableau.
The data model view is very clunky and makes it difficult to easily understand the relationships of the data.
It is missing what I consider to be basic functionality that their competing tools handle such as min(date) and max(date).
I have not found a way to incorporate user inputted parameters such as a desired threshold to use in calculations without some sort of filter hack, another thing that is easy to do in Tableau or PowerBI.
You cannot just do a simple case statement on a dimension without changing this in the data model.
Formula syntax is clunky and weird.

We need an analytics tool, some legacy developers chose sisense, now we continue to use it because we dont want to re-write everything we created in another platform.
Experience has been good. Customer service is A+. The product leaves a little to be desired.
What do you like best about the product?
Customer service, willingness to listen. Sisense is a company to can continue to evolve and grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is a little buggy and not the most intuitive. The fact that the filters are not user friendly and tables cannot sort by a different column creates the need for hack job solutions. I don't like needing to leverage third party add-ons to make dashboards more user-friendly.

Embedded, interactive reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
The options to customize. The abiity to edit Javascript within dashboards and widgets couple with BloX allows for the desired look and feel to be achieved. We're pursuing embededded analytics using Sisense Compose SDK, which puts even further control in the hands of developers to meet our UX requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions can be difficult to navigate. Currently, there's only a single owner of any given Sisense object. Only the owner can publish any changes. Luckily Sisense is working on a feature for multi-owner functionality.

Distilling data into insights - moving beyond traditional static dashboards and allowing users to take actions on their data.

What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly and I can download reports into a universal format. It helps us identify our fundraising trends to help inform us on how best to raise funds.

Really nothing. I have used it since day one.

Helps us analyze fundraising trends. When we started using Sisense it helped us sync financially with our finance system which had never happened before.

The platform's versatility and ease of integration and everything about the relationship handling and customer support.

Sometimes releases get quite delayed, which has it's impact when you are dependent on a specific feature...

We use Sisense to give our customers high-value insights, in a way that is easy and of intuitive use, which would be possible with "common" dashboards without proper exploratory functionalities
