Sisense is a End to End Analytics Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It has integration with a lot of applications enabling us to import data from almost any source into Sisense and work with it easily. I also like their features in Visualisation like TABBER that enables us to create tabs and show graphs in dashboards so that dashboards don't look clunky with too much graphs and data to digest. I also love the feature of Custom SQL in the backend that allows us to create custom tables based on the existing tables in the cube. They also have cool feature that makes HISTOGRAMS much simpler to create without you having write codes to create bins. Sisense also lets you import huge data sets into and work much faster with it when compared to tools like Tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I really dislike but I feel not having options to create filters for separate widgets on the dashboard is very annoying at time because not very time we use data from same table on all visualisations inside a dashboard. If we can create filters separately for each widget in a dashboard, it will help knowledge users better in drill downs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to enable Sales, Marketing and Customer Success team increase their throughput with live dashboards. We show KPIs for each of these teams in dashboards to make decision making real-time data driven.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are planning to get an end to end BI Tool for your company, please consider Sisense. They are really good.
Impressed with deliverables offered by SiSense
What do you like best about the product?
Tabber is my favorite option. It allows you to see multiple instances of a data set without crowding the remainder of the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not know the solution well enough, but will be attending training session to enhance my understanding of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tying company metrics with overall economic outlooks to drive projections. We have realized a level of granularity that has not been seen before, which may allow our company to get ahead of the curve in anticipating macroeconomic conditions before they happen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that adequate training is provided, or else you may not be fully utilizing the solution. Also, make sure to visit the forums and videos online. SiSense offers a plethora of videos and community support topics.
Solid Product with Low Tech Bar
What do you like best about the product?
Price was reasonable, less technological expertise needed than for other vendors. Good out-of-the-box functionality and documentation. Community and company are extremely responsive regarding additional features and support. The speed of the application and the usefulness of the analytics are fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited visualizations can be painful, and the community is not as large or robust as other vendors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of visibility and low technical competence results in poor performance. Unit sales, shipment, and market analytics are easy to perform deep-dives into. No benefits yet as we are in the middle of implementation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Probably the best out-of-the-box solution that we evaluated for analytics and intelligence. Easy to use, but with room to grow with technical capabilities (JS, Python, R, REST APIs). Great data conglomeration and accessibility.
Sisense BI - an early IT Analyst's Perspective/Review
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense Business Intelligence was our company's go to choice for internal analytics as well as embedded analytics for customer access. The web based architecture is easy to edit/rebrand without much coding experience. The Elasticube is easy to import data from many sources and keep as a SSOT (single source of truth) for data schemas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard designers have the power to design advanced level formulas and calculations that can be over bearing. Data transformation is limited and this needs to be done in the DB level / cube level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Customer visibility - Access high level dashboards and reports from live data. Greater insight into merchandise, inventory, shipping, etc.
2. Internal users - greater insight into data - Warehouse, inventory, reports, raw data
3. Can answer many questions on their own from the dashboards- even creates questions with answers into items never explored

Sisense makes sense
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to setup an elasticube and create dynamic dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The MongoDB seems to get corrupted very easily causing slowness in the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A quick look at our data without having to building cumbersome reports.
BI Tool for today's market
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is very easy to setup and use, if you are familiar with warehouse, star schema, analysis cube concepts and basic BI concepts, this tool, installation, development and usage is pretty much self explanatory, if you are not aware of these concepts, you have account manager, technical and support staff, and online documentation available to easily pick concepts and topics
What do you dislike about the product?
Most BI tools are either dependent on data analysis on relational database (warehouse) others (like Sisense) work best with its own data layer (Elasticube), its a matter of ROLAP vs MOLAP, I think its about time some tool, hopefully Sisense takes a stab at HOLAP (Hybrid) approach so data-to-intelligence/analysis time is shortened, for some larger datasets, elasticube preparation can take some time, also IMHO, this will help address some of very complex "query path" issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For now we are looking at trends and creating velocity and forecasts dashboards,.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not that you will need it a whole lot, but in case you need support Sisense team will go out of their way to provide help as soon as possible, if its a feature enhancement for your installation, they might even bring that feature in core product and will keep you updated on its development stage and release date
Very powerful and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Easily to link data and begin analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need some detailed programming experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to pull together data from multiple sources across the organization. Allows management to easily investigate the metrics without having to deal with all the underlying data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sisense is definitely a BI Industry leader and they are constantly improving the product.
Amazingly powerful and efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to have access to raw data without delay. The charts are clean and easy to produce. Python and R functionality enables you to make more complex graphs and do more sophisticated analysis than raw SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how hard it is to move charts within a dashboard. If you have to rearrange sections of dashboards, it takes minutes of scrolling and shifting the reordering window. I suggest adding functionality to be able to move groups of charts together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Periscope fulfills our reporting needs, analytical needs, and enables us to have a clearer picture of product performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The caching feature makes the platform incredibly fast. That along is a selling point.
Great data analytics tool - not the best design
What do you like best about the product?
We used Periscope Data for internal data analytics within a lot of our departments. In my department, we used it to keep track of customer subscriptions and customer professional service resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating custom data charts was a bit complicated, and the look and feel (design) of Periscope was not great. It was laggy sometimes, but that may have been because it was pulling data from Salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using data to perform data-driven decisions. Utilizing data to determine hiring needs, potential problems or shortcomings of a department or specific team member, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely play around with it and get to know its features. You may be surprised at what sort of analytics you can do on your data.
