Highly configurable analytics frontend
What do you like best about the product?
Highly configurable analytics platform. Capable of adapting to a variety of our use cases and needs, even as our product has scaled.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had issues with Sisense, where the amount of data began to be limited (high memory usage, loading errors) which impacted our native platform reporting - analytics becoming slow or unresponsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to provide our analytics frontend native within our platform. Sisense enabled us to launch fast with analytics capabilities, without having to build and maintain a plethora of frontend components every time we wanted to visualise something anew.

Lots of promises, lack of results
What do you like best about the product?
It's got an intuitive interface that's very user-friendly, and building dashboards is a breeze. They've done a great job on the UI/UX.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is buggy, the updates cause chaos, and the promises of fixing things go largely unsolved. We spent ~$345,000 in three years and had to pull the plug. Initially, they recommended we host Sisense on our server, which we did, and after many issues, we moved to their cloud service as they told us this would solve all of the issues. This ended up not happening, and we had many issues that were simply unresolved. This caused major problems for our customers (we're a SaaS company, and we used Sisense to provide analytics to our customers), who constantly complained about things that suddenly stopped working (e.g., scheduled reports, exports to Excel and other features that stopped working out of the blue). The performance was lackluster, and all we received were excuses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary goal was to provide embedded analytics for our customers within our application, but the dashboards took 10+ seconds to load the first time, so our customers simply stopped using it due to the low performance.

You support team and your reactivity. Got a great release roll out cadence.

That when embedded its loading imes are longer than in the sisense app

User Friendly Application
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense allows users to quickly and easily get information in a very user-friendly format. We use this daily in our operations to pull and update numbers to stay on top of productivity. If you are familiar with SQL, it is very easy to create and set up queries that display information in many different formats. The output of data has numerous choices such as numbers, charts, and graphs that make the visual appearance that much more interactive. If we encounter any issues, Sisnece customer support is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option for totals for Cohort Grids.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to take data and put it in a visual format that helps us run our business.
Very easy to use, but it brings so much insight to our data
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to create reports. We work with multiple customers configuring reports and Sisense allows us to leverage the same cube, but create different widgets that really allow them to spot trends. The improved AI capabilities offer great insights into the vast amounts of data that we share. We are able to integrate not only our data but outside data and create reports off of the combined data sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the support team is helpful, I have found that our items often take a long time to get resolved, if they get resolved at all. Fortunately, the quality of the product is much better than it was many years ago, so we have very few open bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our solutions deal with hundreds of thousands of transaction lines to millions of transaction lines. We need to be able to not only share the information with our outsourced customers but provide them insight into what is going on with their data.
An 'okay' alternative to Microsoft BI.
What do you like best about the product?
It is flexible allowing you to customize your specific implementation of the service. When get assigned an account representative customer support is quick. They have built-in version control that seems like it would be nice if you needed it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve, even when you use it every day you will find something that you didn't know you needed to consider. It seems that they like to focus on their cloud solution and those that house the solution in their servers and environments are left to fend for themselves or pay for one of the Sisense partners for assistance with any issues related to managing and setting up the resources. System updates are not well-documented and are often prone to other issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense allows us to take a very large amount of information and consolidate into nice dashboards for our users.
Amazing for certain things but not a silver bullet platform for larger company.
What do you like best about the product?
It's very fast, some of the visuals are damn cool, the team is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
plugs ins and java scripting for basic things that are out of box in other platforms. having to bring stuff in and model in their elastic cube set us back. I also didn't think some of their executives were truthful in mtgs with our team.. they said their mapping capabilities were the exact same as Tableau's. Really? Either they were lying or high on their own cool aid, but there's no comparison on mapping and much more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know as we're moving forward with other platforms like Tableau and PBI instead of Sisense.
Sisense CDT - Perfect tool for our small org
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense CDT - is made for data teams in small org, this is no frills SAAS tool which takes no time to setup and start working on data finding and insights. Deep linking and filter options makes it very easy to maintain the dashboards

What do you dislike about the product?
the only issue we have Sisense CDT is Invoicing system. this is not automated and we have to connect with RM to get the monthly invoice

Using sisense to provide our customers a good tool to analyze call center data
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense user interface for the final user (viewer or designer) is really simple and intuitive for the most common needs. It is really customizable, but also embeddable in your solution .
Sisense's support is always available and usually provide feedback in short time.
It's Elasticube (data) engine has really good performance.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime it's not immediate for the designer to understand what is the path that sisense is usign to provide an answer (draw a chart or create a table), that could require some "hint" in the expressions to force it to use the right structures, but it depends on the complexity of your datamodel. I think it is an acceptable compromise when you use a software that is not requiring you to write the query needed to get data, regardless how complex is your datamodel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide sisense to our customers to analyze their call center data; the objective for our customers is to consult their data to evaluate if everything is working fine in their callcenter or something is creating an issue; in case of bad data, they have to understand what is causing the issue.
Reporting Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I at first was new to the reporting world having zero exp in creating data cubes, creating widgest and putting data into a layout that looked presentable. Sisense came easy to me and if i ever hit a road block their site had loads of information to help guide me or their tech support was easy to schdule a meeting with so they could assist. My Customer Success Manager at Sisense Makhate always make me feel like a top priority when i reach out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I find this product great and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to pull in data from multiple different sources in order to generate reports for both company analytics as well as export reports to share with our clients that is easy to understand and be visualy appealing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool and after spending some time learning everything it quickly becomes second nature.
