Microsoft SQL User Review

  • November 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Microsoft SQL has provided our organisation with an intelligent and efficient data integration tool that works across platforms and has a strong 3rd party applications support.
What do you dislike?
Microsoft SQL is highly technical and has a steep learning curve for new users and it is also harder to manipilate cloud data than on-premises data.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Microsoft SQL has amazing data scalability which makes it easy to manipulate large volumes of information efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Microsoft SQL is excellent for processing, transforming and reporting large tracks of data. And is an asset to any organization who choose it.

Querying for dummies

  • November 06, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
I feel this is the easiest querying tool to learn if you are just starting out and has the best layouts and options with tables and views and switching over to databases that you can link to and pull data out of.
What do you dislike?
Nothing, it is easy to download and store on your computer, there is nothing to dislike about how it functions.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are easily able to query large mass amounts of data as we work in healthcare. We are able to quickly pull PHI from the system and in large differing groupings/filters as our contracting needs see fit.

Good software to maintain relational data

  • November 04, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
Helpful in performing database operations. The scripts for CRUD operations are built in which saves some time
It is faster compared to other database tools I’ve used
What do you dislike?
It is quite slow for huge data operations which includes multiple joins and multiple conditional statements. Not much disadvantages as such
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I’m using MS SQL to connect to the database which is hosted on azure and perform various day to day Database operations. Myself being a Backend (.NET Core Developer), database is a mandatory software for me for the basic CRUD operations

Best for small to medium sized business

  • October 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Costs are competitively cheaper than other vendors. Easy to install and great customer support.
What do you dislike?
Nothing much on the features side. Looks promising.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Ingest data into SQL server from different sources and build data models to support BI applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Business that needs to build small to medium sized databases can leverage SQL Server. Although it can handle any amount of data, it is not advisable to bring in more than some terabytes. Querying time depends on how efficiently the DB is optimized.
