Useful monitoring and troubleshooting product, but could improve on cost optimization suggestions
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of consolidating data with dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to effectively discern the monthly costs based on logging, tracing, retention, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing single pages for teams to view their service data and inform their troubleshooting
Its very good at quality and we are the prime partners to them

Datadog Helps us Monitor Logs and Create Proactive Alerts
What do you like best about the product?
Easy usability, seamless log management and filtering. We're able to quickly build dashboards, share them with the team, and build alerts from them. Avi Verma helped us with our log pipeline/status remapper.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to have certain features added, but there are open source products that may help us
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proactive alerting and log management. We need to know when logs fail to come in and act accordingly to solve these issues.

data dog is greata nd help with all my data needs. thewir able to connect me qwith all the vendors i recive. also they just gavew me a free mug!l

that i have to log in to gewt my freemug. i would rather have just written a anaoymous review and then i would have been more hionest

heloign with looker, sql and dbt. we paritally use it. honeslty i am only doing this for the mug

What do you like best about the product?
The learning curve is not as steep as many other monitoring tools, the auto-discovery and event/trace correlation works very well with very little manual help needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't native support older technology like Informix so if you have an older stack this might not be ideal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding the needle in the universe size haystack, micro-services, dbs, cloud, on-prem, it makes finding the problem quick.

features can sometimes be random (code security), and log interface isnt as usable as kibana

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface and the fact that datadog continues to add new integrations. They support all the major platforms. It is a great tool for DevOps/SRE as well as product engineering teams

I would like to have datadog hand kubernetes metrics better. The alerting tools do not handle pod terminations or scaling events effectively. I would also like more advance kubernetes metrics. Improved iac options for configuring datadog

Full visibility into the service running as well as the infrastructure. We use the logs / tracing for historical tracking to identify new issues and over all health

UI is not the most user-friendly for the user to understand all the features

For us, its solving the performance metrics and it benefits me by helping me understand the use of my apis

What do you like best about the product?
CLOUD SIEM IS ADVancing pretty fast but lacks of on prem support for legacy network devices such as firewalls, routers and switches.

lack of support for on prem legacy devices
