What do you like best about the product?
CAST Highlight provides a quick and Simplified way of Assessing an Application through a Code Scan and Survey to provide valuable insights into the Application Health, Cloud Readiness and Green Impact aspects. At the same time providing pointed recommendations to improve the Application in the aforementioned aspects.

CAST Highlight - Portfolio Analysis Platform
What do you like best about the product?
CAST Highlight provides insights with rapid analysis of entire portfolio on Cloud Maturity, Software Health, Open-Source Safety. The tool recommends remediating the areas to follow the coding best practices based on industry standards to improve the software health. It also focuses on improving the green impact through these code standards. The Open-Source Safety check helps in being up to date with the usage of third-party components providing insights on eliminating the security vulnerabilities and weakness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can have rule customization/addition/deletion options enabled for the end users. This feature can be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application discovery in a short span for the portfoilo is crucial and Highlight is helping in this with its rapid analysis.

for managers - nice charts to follow the state of the application from different perspective. although they have to understand the meaning of the picture
pretty good customer support from Guru, followed by easy implementation.

some issues with ingore files/folders, vscode plugins are flaky and always require cast login
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CAST uncovers various issues with the code and composition. Some of them are false positive, but they are minor, especially if your 'ingore' flags work
ideally code could be fixed, but also issues could be 'mitigated', as happened in our company.
