Skype for Business Review

What do you like best about the product?
Skype for business had a simple interface that allowed me to quickly search through contacts and find the right person I needed to talk to. The ability to video, screen share, and connect to people quickly makes it really useful in the enterprise. I was able to identify problems much quicker by using these features of Skype with my coworkers. Also, the ability to join a conference through Skype by dialing in was great for out-of-network meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the connection quality was slow/lagging, and I'm not sure if it resulted from the software or network connection. Rarely would a call drop or screen share lose connection result in a lower quality meeting, but those issues did occur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefits realized were quick and efficient communication with coworkers and troubleshooting code issues on the network. Skype was a valuable and user-friendly tool that helped us communicate fast.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Skype for business is useful and will serve all the purposes you need for work meetings. We have recently migrated to Microsoft Teams and I like that interface as well.

The software keeps opening up when the computer restarts, even after removing it from the automatic open settings, and keeps prompting me to log in every time it opens

Bridging The Univeral gap In Communication

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that my Skype account is free and it has constantly kept me in touch with my business partners round the world. Skype is easy to use and install. It has cut down my communication cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Skype is an awesome Communication tool with very little minus. I would skype's customer Support to improve on their service level agreement for resolving customers' issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used have serious challenges keeping tabs with my customer base. Skype has clearly solved that issue as I now have a better an more rewarding relationship with my customers. My call Bill has been reduced by 37% since I started using Skype.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I advise any intending user to make his/her mind fast and go for Skype. it is simply a game changer.

What do you like best about the product?
Genesys Cloud CX has been a wonderful tool for our businesses and agents. We switched to their service in the beginning of the pandemic and have been very pleased with our choice. The product is clean and easy to navigate. We've been able to use many features to better help us monitor and route calls to our agents. The Genesys product and customer service team has been a pleasure to work with and continues to strive to improve their products and features. We've worked together on projects to fit our business needs and we value our partnership!
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the voting feature is nice for requesting new features, I wish we could escalate issues quicker. The team has been good with helping us escalate issues when needed though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found solutions to better route and monitor our calls.

Cloud Mobility

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Genesys Cloud is right in the name: Cloud. Our previous phone system was on-prem with the additional cost of outfitting each agent with a physical phone. Now that we are in the cloud, there is no more on premise hardware to maintain and our agents enjoy having the additional desk space where their physical phone used to be. Our company is very 'green-focused', so not having to purchase additional hardware was a big plus for us!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all systems are perfect. Reporting in Genesys appears to be lacking; reporting is huge for our call center operations. In order to bridge gaps in reporting, we have to use our internal EDI and BI teams to extract data over API endpoints, throw the data into a database and then generate the report. While Genesys Cloud offers 3rd party platforms to bridge this gap, it would be great to see improvements in the reporting area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented Genesys Cloud during the pandemic. Remote working meant a lot more traffic over the company VPN as everyone was working remotely. By using a cloud product, we were able to alleviate some of our network pain points since the call traffic didn't need to traverse back to our corporate office. Our network team was very grateful to have the extra bandwidth!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Genesys works well for our call center staff! Genesys is consistently rolling out new enhancements to the platform based upon customer feedback.

Review of Skype for Business after using it for 1 year.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about Skype for Business is its video quality during video conferencing. It is much better as compared to other video conferencing applications. It allows me to share files with others with just one click seamlessly. Also, we can communicate with our team members with the help of just their name or email address.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two things I dislike about Skype for Business are that it requires a continuous high-speed internet connection to work correctly; we can only share files with others if they are online.
Other than this, I do not find any other problem in Skype for Business as till now, I have not faced any error during my video conferencing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skype helps in many ways as we can quickly meet with each other virtually and discus the project we are working on. This saves our lot of time. Also during pandemic when we could not meet each other, we used skype for that. We can easily create groups and and do conversations with each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, I would recommend Skype to all the people who work as a team and need to communicate with others for their work.

We ysed to use skype over teams and i prefer skype as it was easier to use and navigate snd teams for me sometimes has issues
