DataRobot is the trend

  • June 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Previously doing machine learning needs a lot of coding work on cleaning the data and building model, right now DataRobot can help us reduce this working effort and focus on improving the model and explaining the results.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many features on the interface, it's hard to find the feature you need. And there are so many professional concepts without detail explanation, not so user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Predict churn users, upsell accounts

Data Science on Steriods

  • May 20, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DataRobot is a dream-come-true to a data scientist when it comes to modeling. The platform absolutely brute-forces through popular and niche modeling techniques with your data, present you with a ton of metrics afterwards on (top and all) results, and even has deployment options after whatever analysis you do. DataRobot presents you with a good avenue of ways to connect to your data: through a URL path, a local upload (such as csv or xlsx files), or through a hdfs path, so it's pretty easy to get started!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limitations on how much data you plow through in one project if you're not on the enterprise edition (and there are still limitations on there too). Another thing that might not be great is that it is overly aggressive on the amount of models it runs through by default. Of course you can limit to a certain degree on which models DataRobot's autopilot will be run your data through, but if you're new to the platform, it'll take some ramp-up time on how to configure the autopilot correctly. One last thing, for data sources, they should've made some connectors to RDBMS type databases, or at least a couple of the popular ones like mysql or postgres.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can use it to sample your data, have a quick overview of your dataset (metrics such as missing, "importance", aggregations, etc), figure out which modeling techniques to use for increase accuracy on your scoring, and deployment and configuration of models.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hit up their sales team to get a live demo and get a trial. Totally pressure-free sales. You're gonna be amazed by the possibilities of what you can do with this service!

Using DataRobot for Time Series Analysis

  • March 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to easily build machine learning models algorithms ranging from simplistic regressions to complex gradient boosted trees
What do you dislike about the product?
- Interaction to the UI using scripting language like Python and R can still be made better
- Terminology can be standardized to the terms used in standard Data Science world (use crossvalidation instead of backtest)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Building multi-series demand forecasting models.
- Easy to try out multiple models simultaneously, automate the process, and scale it to a production level

Data Robot appars to be an incredible solution

  • November 22, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Ease of use
-Don't have to be a data scientist to use
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive, but I understand for some of the larger organizations the ROI justifies the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our data science team has spent a lot of time coding and building out predictive algorithms, some of which never even went live. With this, we are able to leverage our existing customer and internal data sets to build out better roadmaps and improve our decision-making process.

It provides the platform which gives security, scalability, and discoverability to products help in generating best solutions
Algorithmia can work on any cloud server organizations
It built world-class algorithms for the marketplace
It has a coding language compatibility, Algorithms Library, customizable security
Compatable wirh Windows, Mac and web-based
Deployment is totally Cloud based and Open API
What do you dislike about the product?
Algorithmia pricing based on the number of API calls which is somewhat confusing
It suits well with large organizations
As it is startup workforce and support system is not good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Algorithmia service to provide API service to the product used in my corporate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Working with AI and ML can be really tough and time confusing but using the Algorithmia Cloud service can really be helpful

Good software for a group of Data Scientists

  • July 19, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of using Data Robot is that I am able to test out different models and change features, and it saves time. It is fast and provide good visualization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest disappointment is that I cannot export the underlying code. Not sure if its not supported, but I did not find a way to do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We tried to do Classification with DataRobot. It helped us with prediction on how likely someone is gonna do A/B, so we can be proactive before it actually happens.
