Ping Identity - Super Flexible for the Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
Support is excellent. Product is super flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The deployment options are a little behind the competition but this also plays to Enterprises that are and will be in a hybrid disposition for some time. They are starting to offer full SaaS now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Authentication, Authorization, and Provisioning problems using open standards but also other complicated authentication scenarios due to PingFederate's flexibility. We are leveraging it for Internal employees and customers.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitly
PingOne For Customers works pretty well
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty easy to use once you understand how it works. I've never experienced down time while trying to access Ping Identity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the communication at the API layer is based on changing the content type instead of using a standard RESTful API. To me this seems like some kind of security by obscurity. I don't think that it is, but this method was not intuitive for me to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it as my SSO solution. It's helped us to integrate fairly easily with 3rd party vendors and to provide custom data for platforms such as WordPress to easily consume.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you get a good implementation partner when implementing PingOne
Reliable software that "just works"
What do you like best about the product?
Ping utilizes open standards that help increase its interoperability with other applications. This use of open standards and overall stability makes it an excellent platform to base user authentication upon. The provided upgrade utility makes upgrades easy to perform. The professional services group from Ping have also been excellent and have been a true partner during implementation and other additional projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrades of PingFederate can be a bit of a hassle since major upgrades need to be done at the same time, meaning that you can not run mixed mode servers in the same cluster to make zero downtime upgrades easier. There are ways to achieve this, but there are some hoops to jump through. Latest versions do allow for minor revisions to be upgraded with this zero downtime approach though so progress is being made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ping Identity helps us solve use cases with OAuth and SAML as well as providing single sign on for a variety of applications we use. We have also solved MFA use cases with PingOne and PingID as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ping Identity makes useful products that work as advertised. Their commitment to open standards make them suitable to solve most use cases that you may have.
A great tool and a great team
What do you like best about the product?
Great technology and a team of people happy to collaborate with customers in search of solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have a hard token for MFA that costs less than Yubikey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MFA and SSO. Ping allows us to address both of these needs at large scale.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ping is a great partner and an excellent tool suite for addressing identity needs.
Ping for IAM Federation, SSO, MFA
