Sigma as a BI tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, implementation, customer support,
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have more control on the UI, there are too much of white spaces around, no good borders as the 'divider' come with spaces as well. Would like to have panels which could be hidden and on click so we can effectively use spaces
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Make data for accessible to all
Easy to Learn
What do you like best about the product?
It was really easy to get started with Sigma. Their tutorial was simple and effective at helping me onboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I have come across thus far. I still prefer using Excel due to my comfort level, but that's more out of habit than due to limitations that I've discovered with Sigma

Data Analysis
A Creative Take on Data Storytelling
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how customizable and creative one can be with data visualization and dashboarding, I feel like this is a great, fun way to tell a story while expressing data insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about Sigma, personally, is how intimidating it can be for new users. There are lots of features, which is great, but the learning curve for onboarding a new user is steep and can make explaining these features to less tech saavy stakeholders a bit difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping our team express data insights and pulse-check feature releases for stakeholders.

What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it takes a long time to refresh
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see how my team is preforming, we our store get hit with QI, M&I or INF, then I can deep dive and get to the root of the problem.
Sigma is amazing helps us run our Sites with ease!!!
What do you like best about the product?
Best thing about sigma is having the access of data for each individual metric we need to caculate if a site is being run well or how to improve based on those numbers.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing about sigma is dislikable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is tracking issues on a consitent time frame and allows us leaders to deep dive into the numbers and see what we can do to adjust on site level.
Amazing dashboarding software, especially for real-time use cases and mobile
What do you like best about the product?
We switched from Tableau to Sigma because its superior real-time dashboarding capabilities. It integrates well with both Databricks and PostGreSQL Databases (We use both on Azure but other clouds are supported). Additionally, it's easy to develop with and distribute to your end users. Lastly, the mobile development feature makes it easy to develop mobile as well as web applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it has this annoying blue bar that runs across the top of each of your objects when it updates that you cannot hide. That's the biggest thing they can change to improve it. Other than that, it's excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma helps us develop and deploy real-time dashboards to both the web and mobile devices. It lets our users track and monitor the stock market performance of our portfolio in near real-time, and also lets them see analytics they use to make trading decisions.
IT Intern
What do you like best about the product?
I like that sigma allows us to display complex data in a meaningful way that is easy to understand for our clients as well as our coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular comes to mind except the lack of ability to download an entire table as a PDF unless displayed fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping us identify key areas of business to focus on and improving our ability to recognize and combat issues as they arise.
Ease of Use Meets Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
In my time using Sigma Computing, I've been particularly impressed by its cross-platform functionality. This feature has streamlined our internal data delivery processes, making collaboration between teams smooth and efficient. Externally, it's been a game changer for report access. Regardless of the device or operating system, stakeholders can effortlessly view and interact with our data insights. The seamless integration and adaptability mean that our insights are always accessible, consistent, and up-to-date. For someone keen on efficient data visualization and sharing, Sigma Computing is genuinely transformative.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few times have I run into issues with using the Sigma Computing UI but when I have, these problems have been centered around occasional lags that hinder fluidity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizations! Sigma Computing has revolutionized how I access and visualize data. Before, sifting through massive datasets was daunting, especially for our non-technical team members. Now, Sigma provides a seamless interface where data is not only easily accessible but also effortlessly transformed into intuitive visuals. This has bridged the gap between our technical and non-technical consumers, fostering a cohesive approach to data analysis. The tool empowers everyone in our team to draw meaningful insights, making data-driven decisions a natural part of our workflow. For me, Sigma's solutions have not only streamlined processes but also enriched the quality of our data interpretations.
fantastic and cross functional!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how creative and cross functional the visualization process is! The tool is very easy to use and there are so many benefits to using this tool when creating visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of various types of visualizations makes it rather difficult to increase the granularity of various metrics. There are no waterfall charts or other visuals that Excel has and would incredibly benefit from the rendition of these visuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me solve issues pertaining to vehicle sales and vehicle margin analysis. With the implementation of this tool, I have been severely benefitted from this tool!
Promising up & coming tool
What do you like best about the product?
-Many user friendly features. No tool has it all or is completely perfect, but Sigma has a lot of great QOL features that make it relatively intuitive and seamless to use.
-Evolving product that seems open to listening to the needs of their customers. I like that they take suggestions for new features and they seem to care about growing the product and continuing to add functionality.
-ABOVE ALL ELSE: Fast and efficient customer support chat. I've barely looked at any Sigma documentation in the couple of months since I've started using the product. Why? Because I just open the chat, throw the question into the void, and often get my question completely resolved in under 2 minutes (the chat folks seem to try to respond in under 15-30 seconds). This has been HUGE in making the transition from my company's current BI tool to Sigma and I feel so much better and at ease about the process because I know the chat agents always have my back. The agents are all really friendly and I genuinely enjoy my interactions with them.

What do you dislike about the product?
-Maybe not a fully mature product yet. It's got a lot of really well thought out features and design aspects, but is sometimes missing random simple things like a row number indicator like you'd see in an Excel or Google Sheet.
-Very Excel/Sheets centric. As an analyst who comes from a background of doing everything in SQL and writing hundreds of lines of SQL a week, I'd say that the product is not necessarily designed entirely for my particular preferences and background; not a true negative point, just a personal preference thing. I can still find plenty of ways to get what I want done, but I do have to adjust my mindset and approach a bit.

We are migrating off of our current BI tool and onto Sigma. Both our analysts and our business stakeholders need to be able to address their data needs, whether it is something more technical like writing SQL to perform ad-hoc explorations in our data warehouse, or use a dashboard to look at monthly figures or obtain customer lists. Sigma helps provide these functionalities and is a convenient tool to both the technical and non technical users.
