Good software with awesome support
What do you like best about the product?
The support is really helpful and quick to find solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like if Sigma was more flexible regarding customizing visualizations and enabling custom JS/visualization objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal reports and external BI products

What do you like best about the product?
Good roadmap of features and regular cadence of releases. Nice visualizations and interface. The "Excel-like" workbooks enable power users to take control of their analytics rather than relying on a central IT or data group to provide those. My team can focus more on data acquisition.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model leaves a lot to be desired. Standard functionality in other BI tools (export to Excel for instance) is lacking and you need a more advanced license to use. We've had a number of issues with SSO and SAML. I feel that future revisions of the software could improve this functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed of time to analysis. Data validation and quality. Enabling self-serve BI for users and getting my team out of the business of building dashboards and reports but instead acquiring and managing data for analysis.

World class support, easy to use platform

Not a ton of downsides, they are relatively new so some features are still being built

It helps us understand where our product has gaps, how our team is performing, and helps us manage our data for day to day tasks
Great BI Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use but still maintains complex visualization functionality. Also their support team is next level good. Always on hand to answer any question that I have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pivot tables can be a bit slow when not using materialized queries. Would also like to see more visualization tools built into the platform. For example, having combo visualization for multiple groupings.

Sigma solves our need for a BI and Data Visualization tool. Sigma dashboards allow anyone in the company to understand how the company is performing. As well as answer complex queries,

What do you like best about the product?

I dislike that not all excel financial functions are available

What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is incredibly easy to use from both a technical and non-technical perspective. My non-technical stakeholders love it because it looks and feels like excel or google sheets. And it runs incredibly fast on top of Snowflake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a downside as there are other tools that do this much better, but Sigma does not have its own sematic layer so I need to rely on dbt or some other tool for a semantic layer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self serve analytics. I have rolled out Sigma workbooks to our entire organization because they are incredibly easy and intuitive to use for both technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. Sigma is also replaceing Looker as our primary dashboarding and reporting tool.

Not something to dislike but Sigma doesnt have much storage layer like Tableau where the query result history is saved.

Very powerful and useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that you can perform analytics and create vizualizations and dashboards - so it serves as a one stop shop for all your needs! Highly recommended for creating demos/reports!
What do you dislike about the product?
It could have additional plotting capabilities like combining/superimposing two complex plots like box plots with jitters for more powerful vizualizations. Also if titles/axis on graphs could be dynamic based on filter values you could select, that would be fantastic!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping to answer problems where user needs to input or create data to see vizualizations evolve live. The Input Table editable feature is perfect for this!

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful things about Sigma is that it works for all different levels of experience and people with more or less SQL/programming epxerience can still use Sigma.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I feel a bit limited by the tools that Sigma provides unfortunately which can feel frustrated to have to find workarounds to do certain things but overall it's not bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is helping me solve problems with visualizing data and showing the data in innovative and meaningful ways to extract certain insights. It can also handle a lot of complicated processes which is really great.
Excel for Big Data
What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to create impactful and actionable insights from large amounts of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of customizability on available visualizations. There are minor things I'd like to customize but can't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of good BI platforms for big data, like datasets from Snowflake, etc.
