Fantastic Analytics Platform - Easy to Learn, Robust, with fantastic support

What do you like best about the product?
It was a breeze to integrate my data into Sigma and start analyzing my data from the get-go. Using Sigma had the simplicity of Tableau and Excel and provided a clean, intuitive user experience.

The customer service was responsive and helpful with any questions that came up. The sales team was helpful in resolving any more in-depth questions that came up.

The platform was snappy and could handle any of the data requests or visualizations that we needed
What do you dislike about the product?
Coming from an Excel power user there was some learning curve in building formulas within Sigma. (the team was very helpful in recreating pieces of analysis)

When drilling down from one graph to another there could be a longer load time. Typically this was not the case

When drilling down from a high level graph to a low level graph, I sometimes go stuck at an intermediate graph. Eventually, hitting undo enough resolved this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma helped provide custom, sharable, dynamic analytics for our integrated service reporting. Rather than building a complete system in-house, Sigma offered an out of the box solution that was ready in minutes, not weeks

Sigma is a very functional and affordable BI tool

What do you like best about the product?
Sigma has many features that allow users of all development levels to get the most out of our data. Some of our team members use it to embed dashboards into our production systems, while others use it for basic analysis and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sigma is very simple to use, it's sometimes lacking in robust visualization options and the ability to customize how certain aspects of the charts look and feel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to share data across our company and with our customers faster and easier than ever. Eliminates the need for additional developers and front-end support.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how agile and easy-to-use Sigma Computing is compared to other BI Tools (i.e Looker, Tableau, etc.) with its great UX & UI while being very performant computational-wise since it's been built natively for Cloud Datawarehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to its relative newness compared to other BI Tools (i.e Looker, Tableau, etc.) some features aren't there yet. That being said, pretty impressed with their shipping rate for new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company-wide BI Tool in which we build all our reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analysis

Great Data Visualization Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is relatively easy to learn to use if you have used other data viz tools. In some ways, it is simpler because it functions like a spreadsheet and you can use spreadsheet functions. This makes it simple for people who are not as savvy in using sql functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a learning curve, though not too steep. There are some functions that you have to kind of force by using work-arounds. You cannot use 'or' with filters and other similar issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to create data visualizations and share them at different accessibility levels with other teams.

Analytics made easy

What do you like best about the product?
With Sigma we were able to take our data in Snowflake and quickly turn it into beautiful reports. Far faster than Tableau. We are talking hours vs days.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some chart options that would be nice, heat maps are somewhat limited, and the mapping in general often doesn't quite meet the demands of our product owners. It's satisfactory, but little improvements might be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had wanted an integrated solution where we could display analytics in a dashboard. We attempted this with Tableau and hit multiple roadblocks, and spent a lot of money on consulting to get our graphs up and running. Six months in and we had nothing to show. 3 days into Sigma, we had the graphs we needed, and were able to show our customers for the first time the true value of our product suite. Three. Days. Amazing.

Easy connections to database and great customer service

What do you like best about the product?
Sigma makes it easy to connect to your database and start creating charts quickly. While the tool is on the newer side, I love the how easy it is to get help from customer service as well as the transparency about feature requests. It is also awesome that viewer licenses are free.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a little bit of a learning curve because the setup is different than a tableau like BI tool, but after you get through the learning curve, the tool can pretty much do most things that the other tools can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to get everyone at the company on because the viewer licenses are free. Doesn't require any data engineering work, as long as you know sql you are good to go.

It is quite challenging to load data, especially large data sets, when many other users are attempting to access the same information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma makes it easy to track individual employee performance and relay information to those employees in readily digestible ways.

What do you like best about the product?
The in depth ability to find data trends and what is driving business trends. Precise percentages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes for some of the items to load. I have heard from some Managers that the data does not upload very quickly. So real-time data can be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a metric call INF which helps us understand what items in our stores are not being located by our picking staff as well as if the item is even active.
