Great tool for visual feedback.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. Sigma enabled me to get real time information of how my product was performing. I like how easy it is to work with the data and when there are complex SQLs that are needed the tool allows me to play with the same. Whenever product teams have a question, it's super simple to spin up a sigma worksheet and target what is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I need to create intermediate columns with filters to get a better view of what's needed, rather than using the data aggregation itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Sigma to get information about how new products developed at clover are doing and to get stats on sources of revenue.
We use Sigma as a feedback tool to see how a product is doing, track changes in spending patterns and revenue sources across merchants .

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have your data pipeline already established and need a tool to take advantage of that. Sigma is a really easy and user friendly tool to get insights.
Quick queries w/o the need for SQL knowledge; fantastic support staff.
What do you like best about the product?
- It increases the number of employees that can effectively use out company's data. Knowledge of querying languages isn't necessary, but I love that Sigma still offers the option of using SQL (particularly for those that are more familiar with them and/or highly complex queries).
- Sigma allows you to quickly query vast amounts of data. This cloud-based solution integrates seamlessly with our Snowflake aggregator.
- Option to export Google Sheets, .csv, and .xlsx

What do you dislike about the product?
- When adding values to include/exclude in a filter, it's not obviously that clicking away from the field entry will initiate the application of the filter.
- Unable (to my knowledge) to eliminate rows of data with duplicate entries.
- The UI could use a color-scheme change to differentiate visuals. For example, a user's tables/folders cannot be organized (alphanumeric ordering is a workaround), nor can they be color coded for easy navigation. Most of the UI is gray or various shades of blue.
- There is a 150k row limit on exports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As noted above, Sigma greatly increased the population of colleagues that could effectively access and query data--I'd estimate that it's grown our 'proficient' data consumers by 30-40% company-wide. Non-data pros now have the ability to peruse and export data as they please.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sigma is well suited for companies/business units that are >20-30 people--those that require broad access to data company-wide will see the most immediate benefit. Sigma doesn't make too much sense for companies with a very limited population of data users, or if all data/analysis is routed directly through one small team (e.g., a 1-3 person team that specializes in-/is solely dedicated to data).
Those that have already implemented Snowflake have a large advantage for roll-out, but Snowflake is not a necessity.

Light weight tool, good options for detailed analysis, there is scope to improve at visuals.
What do you like best about the product?
Playing with worksheets. And showing only 1000 rows at a time to iplove performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less options on visuals. No options for dynamic visibility, dynamic filtering or passing dynamic values to parameters.
Overlapping of charts not possible.
Overlapping of charts not possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its a good tool for cloud platform. It has flexibility to join snowflake, Google and Amazon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool for excel types of work and basic visuals can be created. Its a good tool if you are looking for cloud solution.
Not much options available for visuals. It has good performance.

Sigma
What do you like best about the product?
the possibility of easy access to native query
What do you dislike about the product?
searching for tables and databases is difficult, filter
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
all kinds of operational problems
Good for exploring data
What do you like best about the product?
easy to get the sense of the table and do the simple join. The visualization it's easier and intuitive and more powerful than excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
People without SQL concept tend to find it difficult to use Sigma. For those complicated join or want to make it into certain format, it's hard to use Sigma than just write SQL query...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily transactional / revenue / usage report and share with internal stakeholders via Schedule (email)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
BI tool without writing SQL
Powerful tool, but a lot of room for feature growth
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to pull data and build a visualization
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of features to customize visualization and format tables
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Custom reportings for clients in a scalable way. Time savings so I don't have to pull data and import it into a visualization tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be aware that sigma has basic visualization features.
A fantastic analytics tool, but difficult to navigate UI.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly and easily apply filters and export to excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ramp to being proficient with Sigma is a fairly long road. I'm an occasional user and I often find my self hunting and pecking for various tools/icons/buttons in the UI--the limited color scheme exacerbates this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issues I'm resolving/benefits are:
1) my lack of SQL proficiency.
2) the ability to easily join tables from differing databases.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
To really reap the benefits of Sigma, you need full buy-in from your data/analytics team.
Multiple Function Solution for My Business
What do you like best about the product?
The easy to read/understand and create Excel functionality. Connecting to our warehouse is very seamless, and a lot of the functionality is intuitive and requires little training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all advanced excel functionality is there - things like forecasting, sorting capabilities, etc. The visualization side of the product still has some work to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed the ability to combine large sets of data together to create simple visualizations. Sigma has cut our loading speeds from Tableau by over 50%. Additionally we've found that sometimes our users need simpler answers than a visualization might require - the pivot like functionality has been a life saver. Being able to filter or adjust datasets while in the worksheet has provided exploratory and functional analyses that would've normally taken much longer or wouldn't have been able to be done given the size of our data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find a use case that requires some level of automation and is currently a pivot table or relatively simple graph. Build it in a POC, and you'll be able to determine it's strengths versus your current product or software immediately.
good information from sigma!!
What do you like best about the product?
daily updates for sellers is great for business
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes its not as accurate as id like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
lets me see in real time where my sellers are going with goals
Promising but not quite there
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma as a company is very easy to work with and responsive to our needs/concerns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sigma is not at enterprise-level yet, missing some of the key (basic) functionalities and intuitions needed for cross-functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to streamline some of the basic calculations and functions that formerly lived within Excel. However, because of the lack of inputting options, this is well short of full development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be specific on your needs and verify with their roadmap.
