    Information Technology and Services

Definitely not a cohesive product

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I guess the product has iterations over the years as an complex evolved CMS but the overall tough learning curve it brings to the table is of no use in the modern world. No reason to say it is the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve, Administrations skills, tonnes of wiki to search on issues, Issues do not resolve via patches as are windows products. from a CMS point of view maybe it has all the features but not all of the necessities to offset an administrator is there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Regular CMS. Once stable and in the hands of an efficient developer/administrator it has a long life span. Evolution i suspect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not recommended.Unless you have an Administrator with full PHP skills and versed in Linux do not use this product. There are more easier modern era knowledge products with better way to use the assets. PHP is not an answer for all problems.

Swiss army knife for websites

  • September 18, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is very customisable; with the right modules and plugins, you can almost do anything you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very bare out of the box; you will need heavy customisation to make it do what you want, unlike other user friendly systems like WordPress. The rich text editor is not as good, missing many functions and usability. Most of the useful functionalities have to be added in via modules, but the modules are hard to find and support is even harder to find. It is not as easy as WordPress plugins. However, the modules are very customisable, and you can customise your own workflow instead of sticking to what's provided by the module itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Website content management. Able to host a website, post new webpages, maintain an event calendar, bulk upload posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Needs a lot of customisation, but anything is possible. Think of it as a Swiss army knife.

A website CMS with extensive page design and advanced management capabilities

  • September 13, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Compared to WordPress, which seems to be one of the more popular open source content management systems, Drupal has far more flexibility due to its core database and PHP structure and is geared more for complete website designing and not as much for blogs like WordPress. I like that I can adjust panels in an intuitive way with visual editing tools and connect components without many compatibility issues. Many of the templates that are available from the Drupal community and through web template websites are of high professional quality and don't typically cost that much.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since there are more components involved in Drupal compared to WordPress, I don't think Drupal is the type of web development platform that is better for getting a website created the fastest. In many cases, there are more programming requirements demanded from the user in order to configure their website to exacting specifications. Also, there aren't as many plugins and extensions as other CMS platforms like WordPress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to use Drupal to develop quality websites for a relatively low price. The core software doesn't cost anything and we only spend money for work time committed to developing the website. We have created a handful of business websites for marketing and internal communications purposes. We have been able to upload our Drupal websites to a few different web hosts without any compatibility issues so far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Drupal may take a bit of learning, research and trial and error in the beginning, but I think you'll be able to achieve more control over your web page designs with it. I would recommend it for those that have at least moderate web programming abilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
Few issues with admin panel ie when logged in to dropal and view the site then few things are distorted. But when logged out of Drupal and access the site it is perfect
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can be used for multiple platform.Easy customization.Easy for the admin and other people to access and update the content.

Best opensource CMS available in the market

  • September 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is extremely rich in features I like about it.
Drupal's caching mechanism is unbeatable which works on both the code base and database level.
The system architecture of drupal 8 is built over symphony PHP framework which makes it MVC enabled architecture.
Drupal's database schema structure is of 3rd normal form which make it most robust system to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I think, drupal community should improve is the Admin Panel UI. When I started working on Drupal, I used to suffer with uneasiness of UI understanding. So, User experience should be improved to make thing obvious and easy to understand even for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been working in my organisation as a Drupal Developer from more then one year. I completed many projects in Drupal so far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend Drupal as a CMS to fellow developers. I have chosen to be a drupal developer due the strong architecture of drupal which you can't find even in the world's most popular CMS WordPress.

It makes designing a website and managing it much easier

  • August 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using open development environments that also give me convenient web builder tools. There is a good harmony between pre-made development assets and custom development opportunities. I Drupal community is very helpful when it comes to responding to development issues and building new extensions that can quickly improve the look and functionality of Drupal websites. There are good amount of templates and website models that we can draw upon to start new website projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Making websites with more complex navigational structures, layouts and functionality can often be complicated with Drupal. There aren't as many resources available for Drupal projects as there are with other popular content management systems like WordPress or even Joomla.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drupal has made developing websites easier compared to not using it. I can also manage updates and add new components to already published websites more smoothly. Since Drupal is based on a core admin system with databases, I can easily make changes to several pages without having to manually change single pages or risk breaking functionality of the core website structure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Though it might not be the easiest CMS to start out with when creating websites, I would recommend Drupal if you want a development structure with more flexibility. If you don't want to involve too many programmers and designers, you should take a look at getting a premium template that can have most of the design and functionality issues sorted out for you.

Drupal - An advanced CMS platform

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is a very advanced CMS platform for building your website. it has nice customized themes and different features which make your website very very functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
The update is a hassle in drupal. If you choose to update the version automatically, it messes with the custom features often and that affects the performance of the website. Also, it is not very user friendly like other CMS. It is difficult to use for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't think that I have ever solved any problem with Drupal. It is an advanced CMS platform but it is not very popular among the new users because of its complexity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform offers a wide variety of customization, integration option which is great but at the same time, it can be complex for the new users sometimes- especially the navigation.

A content management system that lets us create custom designs with low red tape

  • August 05, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are many templates and development pre-made component and plugins that give us the ability to develop new websites and landing pages without many complications. We don't need to create core files or security systems to prevent our websites from getting hacked or hit with malware. We can lean on a dependable and experienced community of many developers to help give us new ideas or diagnose and fix technical problems we may be experiencing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drupal has probably lost more of its core users compared to Joomla. It seems like Joomla might be a more widely accepted and popular CMS. I've committed to learning Drupal early on, so I don't really find much incentive to move to Joomla, but I wish Drupal would have more users so there is a more active and involved user base. It's not so bad now, but I just think having more users couldn't hurt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like many content management systems, Drupal helps me to pull together websites in a well-structured manner without having to create lots of complex core files from scratch. I can use one of many available website templates to get started on new websites quickly. The Drupal system is quite versatile and allows us to create pages with static or dynamic content for use in a wide variety of business applications, from marketing to internal collaborations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Drupal might be more complicated compared to some popular website building platforms available today, but it can also give you the more freedom in developing layouts and designs that are more tailored to very specific needs.

We can use Drupal for many types of web and internet marketing needs

  • August 01, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is simple to install and use it has a very good interface. It is excellent for websites with a lot of content or concurrency. Drupal is very customizable and adapts to your development needs. It works to create neat and professional websites, dynamic blogs, e-commerce, interactive sites and has a variety of templates and accessories.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drupal has high system requirements compared to more online web builder solutions. Before turning to the use of this CMS, you must be prepared to forget about cheap fees and pay an separate hosting fees that could be high compared to standard hosting plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drupal is a highly secure and scalable framework with extensive customization options that give us good leverage for designs. Drupal has numerous features and add-ons that further improve its functionality. We can use Drupal to design many type of landing pages and full-on websites quickly by using templates and accessing open development information online. When we experience coding issues, we can look to the community support to find answers quickly on our own. We have been able to market many different promotions with the pages generated from Drupal. We can link to and from our social media accounts to monetize most of our offerings as much as possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that Drupal is suitable for many types of web-based scenarios, but has high customization and configuration of user profiles so it is ideal for e-commerce and web development.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is simple to install and use it has a very good interface. It is excellent for websites with a lot of content or concurrency. It is very customizable and adapts to your development needs. It works to create You can create great sites, dynamic blogs, e-commerce, interactive sites. has a variety of templates and accessories. I most like to provide the services because of it is a way to know about the product. Basically service provide for the any product then we can learn more about product for which we provide services.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speed of the site for administrator or developer is slow and also the user interface is not friendly for admin. It uses multiple development languages code modification I need a lot of knowledge. It also uses a lot of memory space. Clearing cache frequently and slow loading of application after that is very annoying while being in development mode. Adding and removing a class or div at some HTML structures or templates has some restrictions, which also restrict UI for application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drupal helps me a great deal since it is a CMS package for Web content management of many kinds. I use it to post research findings and for open public network collaboration purposes. The basic installation includes, among other things, blog tools, email forms, search engines and site maps. It has hundreds of plugins or complements with different functions to meet our requirements. It gives us the ability to build custom modules that you can use. We can do a lot of personalization to meet your needs. It has an excellent administration of user profiles.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that Drupal is suitable for many web-based scenarios, but has high customization and configuration of user profiles so it is ideal for e-commerce and web cooperation.
