All in one Kafka management
What do you like best about the product?
Aiven for Apache Kafka allows us to manage our Kafka instance very well. We have smooth topic creation with most of the customisations. Also it provides a UI to produce messages, view the messages, partitions, consumer lag in real time
What do you dislike about the product?
Improvements can be showing timestamp in the header of each message since that data is already there in Kafka. Navigation to topics, info, messages can be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event driven approach is being solved by Aiven and we are able to process events without any hindrance to the data flow. Any data transfer isn't lost because we are abke to reprocess the error events easily through Aiven

What do you like best about the product?
The setup was very easy and quick. It even provide integration snippets that re very helpfull and the support team is one of the quickest to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be more competitive and the loging can be improved. The RBAC and dashboard stability has to be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining atraditional Kafka vm or container is a mess. The monitoring and downtime handling is difficult. It solves this problem.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple setup did work out of the box with no troubles

Most of my team's problems were related to keys management, they never got addressed or were addressed slowly

None, we've gave up and switched to Confluent

Downsides, though not critical:
- The pricing structure can be a bit confusing to navigate, which may lead to unexpected costs
- The documentation for the service could be more comprehensive, which can make it harder for beginners to get started

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between microservices in the form of messages and construction of ETL pipelines. Reliable place to send events to, so they don't get lost even if the producer or consumers are temporarily offline.
Humble but honest tool for Kafka
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is not something overloaded with features. I have used many tools for various purposes around software development, it's not like datadaodge where unexperienced user would be overwhelmed with options and colors. The user interface is friendly, the most important things you need are available for user to see. Great thing is schema comparator, works like good old JSON Formatter
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's something on Aiven side although I noticed that sometimes site is not responding and topics are loading very very slow, but like I said, might be caused by the fact the infrastructure I work with is enourmous. There is a thing though that I notices inconvenient. When trying to fetch messages the UI loads them (sometimes I get timeout, but that's fine) although then it is impossible to perform any search and it might be that you need to manually click thorough hundrets of nodes to look for something
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving communication in microservices architecture type system. Using messages is beneficial for ensuring close to real time reaction to action performed and also storing real time state of objects

What do you like best about the product?
Aiven Kafka provides a great UI for visualising all the Kafka features in a single place. Flexible updates with prior notifications from the team. Quite easy communication with the support staff for any queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aiven should improve on providing the user access for different organisations. Also they must think upon providing a free version for the users to play around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a great and easily understandable UI to manage all the kafka services at one place. We have hosted our kafka topics on Aiven.

What do you like best about the product?
For my use case, it's the dashboard, it helps me to debug issues easier when setting up a new project which uses Kafka, and also helps me to investigate issues like consumer lags, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike, but I wish I had more advanced debugging tools like filtering messages in a topic. features like `trubka` cli provides, I know it might not be relevant in large scale, but at least having tools to make life easier for these kind of investiagtions is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said earlier, I mostly use the dashboard features to investigate issues, like initial consumer setup, consumer lags, etc.

I did not encouter anything I dislike about Aiven in particular. However, I think that the Aiven console is not too user friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
Aiven provides a good console that accommodates all the kaha features at one place. Easy to navigate to different Kafka features and properties. Well managed and maintained. Support team is easily reachable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think a more easy access to the Aiven APIs for integrating it in the system would be helpful. A little more description of the APIs and the response fields would be great.

Provides an excellent console to view and manage all the Kafka features and properties at a single place. Easy to navigate and use.
Robust event platform
What do you like best about the product?
From my experience the platform has been very robust and efficient. I do not remember ever, even during some exceptional situations a single event being lost or undelivered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve for kafka has been quite steep at least form. But that is probably more related to the kafka itself than Aiven.

Provides robust backbone for the event driver architecture.
