Is user-friendly, frees up human time, and is affordable

  • August 02, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have numerous use cases for Automation Anywhere. One of these use cases involves retrieving data from the Etimad portal and inputting it into an Excel sheet, which generates reports for me. This is one of the tasks I have accomplished using Automation Anywhere. Additionally, I utilize Automation Anywhere in the Business Intelligence solution for SFDA. This platform generates reports regarding available medications or food items for purchase, whether from vendors or suppliers. I have several more use cases as well.

How has it helped my organization?

We have implemented Automation Anywhere to eliminate repetitive tasks for humans and enable them to concentrate on more relevant tasks that enhance customer engagement.

Automation Anywhere is designed for business users, providing a user-friendly UI that enables them to create and access reports quickly.

The learning curve of Automation Anywhere is brief. The solution permits drag-and-drop commands, and the documentation is straightforward to understand and follow.

Non-technical individuals can begin using Automation Anywhere within two months of training.

Integrating Automation Anywhere Co-Pilot with our organization's day-to-day applications is straightforward.

Co-Pilot has contributed to a 90 percent increase in productivity, as humans are now able to concentrate on tasks that provide greater value.

Co-Pilot assists in freeing up staff to engage in value-added projects. We employed this solution for an organization that had 3,000 employees working on repetitive tasks, thus allowing them to dedicate more time to relevant assignments.

Automation Anywhere has enhanced our clients' organizations by accelerating their tasks.

Automation Anywhere helps to increase automation consumption. Presently, we are implementing the solution in over 3,000 automation projects. In comparison to the manual execution of tasks prior to employing the solution, we now witness a sevenfold increase in automated tasks, a number that continues to grow each quarter.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Automation Anywhere is the automation that frees up time for our employees to engage with customers.

What needs improvement?

Automation Anywhere could enhance its services by establishing a local office in our region to provide better support.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability of Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

I would like the technical support to respond quicker to the assigned tickets.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. The deployment usually only requires me and one programmer from the client's end.

What about the implementation team?

I am a consultant and help implement the solution for our clients.

What was our ROI?

Our clients do experience a return on investment through the reduction in costs for tasks that were previously carried out by humans and are now automated. Automation Anywhere is five times faster than humans and more efficient.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The Automation Anywhere license is affordable and not complex. In our region, we have the option to implement the solution on-premises or in a sandbox since nothing is in the cloud. This aspect makes the license even more cost-effective.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated UiPath, which is exceedingly expensive but offers superior support in our region. When considering the cost, support, capacity, integration, and overall value, Automation Anywhere emerged as the more economical and superior option.

I also evaluated IBM, but I found that they were imitating UiPath, which is not advantageous for me.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten.

I have integrated RPA with various applications such as Excel sheets, Oracle systems, SAP, Salesforce, DTS, the corresponding tracking system, Enterprise Content Management, as well as some of the business processes from Camunda.

Robotic process automation is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency in a business while eliminating human errors.

We have many endpoints using Automation Anywhere.

Maintenance is completed by the support engineers as per the license requirements.

I recommend Automation Anywhere. The solution is cost-effective and offers significant value. It is recognized as one of the leaders by Gartner.

Integration with core banking systems is very good, as is OCR

  • July 24, 2023
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I worked for a call center company and most of the use cases were related to developing automation for our clients. We also created some automation for internal processes.

What is most valuable?

The integrations of Automation Anywhere with the mainframe application for banking companies are among the most valuable features. Banking companies have a black screen (a text-based user interface) used in some banking core systems. In our case, we were able to create very good solutions integrated with that kind of platform using Automation Anywhere.

Also, if you need to use OCR automation to process standard invoices and send the information to another platform, that is also a very good feature.

What needs improvement?

The goal of any automation is to provide efficiencies. I would like a way, within the platform, to track the benefits. If you are the center of excellence manager, you need to show to the C level the value that you are adding to the company. The unique way to show that to the C level is how much money you are bringing into the company or how much money you are saving the company in costs. I would like a default feature where each bot gives us data on all the benefits it provides from its process.

They also need to improve and work very hard on the user experience to democratize automation.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's a very good platform in terms of stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Automation Anywhere has very good scalability when you want to scale an existing bot.

How are customer service and support?

It is very easy to contact them and receive support from them.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were working with a local system.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very easy. If you are not setting it up in a virtual environment, it takes between half an hour and one hour, maximum.

We have deployed it on the cloud, using AWS.

There is no maintenance of the solution on our side.

What about the implementation team?

My team did the setup.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

These types of companies, in automation, need to evaluate their business models. They sell it by license, but if they could charge by case or by interaction, that might be better. Right now, it's expensive when you want to scale or use them for simple processes.

What other advice do I have?

I know my Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism and, now, Microsoft Power Automate. If you want to automate a simple process, these solutions are very good. But if you need to integrate different platforms or systems using an API, or if you want to widen the scope of automation to create an automated process, end to end, that is going to be difficult for any user. You need to be a developer with very good programming skills. If you are going to automate, for example, downloading emails, Automation Anywhere is okay for non-technical users. But the license is very expensive, so you have to weigh the benefit that you are going to receive.

For me and my team of around 150 developers who are engineers, the learning curve was very easy. For them, it took two or three months because they were already familiar with the logic. Automation Anywhere has good information on the web where the guys can access material and forums to learn about creating different types of automation.

The benefits, for us, from Automation Anywhere are more related to the business case than the tool. You need to have a very good approach from the business analyst's perspective to understand the added value that an automated process can bring to the company.

The most important thing is to train the business analysts in your company to identify what the best processes are to automate, to get the most benefit from the tool.

Overall, this is a very good tool if you have all the permissions and accesses, and you can work without any virtual environment, like VDI or Citrix.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Improved process performance for us with fewer employees, saving us hours of time

  • July 21, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We were looking to replace employees with a robot for repetitive and tedious tasks, to save time.

How has it helped my organization?

Automation Anywhere is saving hours and hours of employees' time. We can do the same tasks with fewer employees.

We have increased the automation of processes in our organization. It is really obvious how automation has improved the performance of our processes. We have two tracks of automation. We do traditional automation using application management and integration, and that is done by a big team. But we can compare our small RPA automation team to that big team. Both are increasing automation in our organization, each accounting for about 50 percent of our automation.

There is definitely another business benefit from using it: Processes have been re-engineered after being reviewed.

What is most valuable?

There are ready plugins and connectors to integrate with APIs for common systems like Oracle or Microsoft.

What needs improvement?

There could be improvement in the reporting and insights into the ROI. The ROI tool that shows the performance and the return on investment is not very accurate. I have developed my own tool to do that instead of using the native tool that comes with Automation Anywhere.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The system can be expanded easily if you scale up the team or the process itself. It's the perfect product for that. It's definitely scalable.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We didn't have a previous solution.

How was the initial setup?

There were some difficulties regarding the connection of the servers and performance issues, but we overcame them by reading about the product and seeing how things can be done. We also opened tickets with Automation Anywhere but it took them a long time to respond. There was a ticket that never closed during six months. But with an upgrade to the new release, it disappeared automatically.

Automation Anywhere has a learning curve, but it's not that hard and it's not very easy. Someone without tech skills can learn it by taking courses. When you try, you get into some problems, but in the end, it's nice and not hard. I haven't tried training non-tech people to use it, but in general, it may take people without a tech background about three months to learn it.

From time to time we need to do some maintenance of the infrastructure servers and make sure that the CPU and memory utilization is optimized. Occasionally, we need to increase the memory. There are two or three people involved in the maintenance from our organization's application support team.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is quite expensive. Not every organization can consider this option. That's one reason they might go with real integration via API.

There are additional support costs. We didn't buy the support because we have a capable team that is doing the job.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have seen options from the competitors, and we decide to go with this one. There were many aspects to our decision, but the main ones were the cost of the solution and the support available in our country.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend Automation Anywhere as a serious option. You will find it easy to use, overall, making it a very good choice.

When it comes to deciding between an API integration and RPA, integration is the best option, not automation. If API integration is available and ready to use, it's better to go with that option. However, sometimes, based on my experience, there are cases where you don't have control of those things and you have to think of other solutions. For us, the alternative was automation using RPA. But when an API integration is possible, I prefer to go with that option, rather than going with the RPA. When that is not possible or easy to do, we go with RPA.

Automate complex and monotonous processes with Automation Anywhere bots.

  • July 20, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tools for creating fully customizable automatic bots are one of my favorites. I love being able to use the drag-and-drop tool. Using the performance dashboard control structure, you will be able to automate all your work by department in the cloud. Ability to generate very comprehensive custom reports. In the financial area, it stands out over others. I have even created custom invoices that I integrate seamlessly with emails to be sent to clients. The dedicated mobile application has an easy-to-access interface and simple-to-apply codes, making it perfect for financial market strategies. Repetitive actions are things of the past, and with this software, we save time on dedicated services.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is very well structured but may present errors; perhaps when automating complex processes with very slow loading, some command areas need to be updated. I would like more functions for integration with Python. When you want to work with robust applications, the program can become very complicated to understand with multiple inputs, not suitable for any beginner in the area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our company, we perform repetitive tasks such as sending emails, managing and automating invoices, and providing financial services. Thanks to Automation Anywhere, we have been able to automate all this workflow using bots as powerful tools for our company. By integrating with Datacap and IBM products, we have achieved great efficiency by being able to export images and documents in a very simple way with the drag-and-drop tool. It is explicitly useful for data and document extraction; say goodbye to manual operations.

Automation Anywhere is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support has been helpful, and we have not experienced any delays.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used Power Automate before switching to Automation Anywhere as per the client's request.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward and takes one or two days to deploy.

What was our ROI?

I believe our clients do see a return on investment because they continue to use the solution for their automation needs.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I think the pricing is reasonable, but clients often perceive it as expensive. This perception might change once we see the benefits, understand the full process, and realize what is required to achieve our goals.

What other advice do I have?

I give Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten. Power Automate has better cloud flows.

For those who prefer API integration over robotic process automation, I would use an API if it's more logical to do so. It all depends on the situation. If I need to fill some Excel documents, I will use bots; and if I need to display that data on a web page, I will use APIs if available.

Has a favorable learning curve, delivers automation at scale, and helps increase automation consumption

  • July 13, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use Automation Anywhere in the finance domain for tasks such as data reconciliation, data identification, and aviation operations.

How has it helped my organization?

We implemented Automation Anywhere to address our outstanding invoices, purchase orders, and quotations from multiple vendors. We utilized the IQ Bot feature, which is integrated into the OCR system.

For technical individuals, Automation Anywhere is easy to use.

The learning curve is favorable for non-technical staff, as it typically takes between two to four weeks before they can start automating with Automation Anywhere.

Automation Anywhere's capability to deliver automation at scale is commendable. We possess the ability to scale up to multiple users across organizations. In fact, I have successfully executed this RPA using a report containing one Lakh operations, which is equivalent to one hundred thousand.

Automation Anywhere has helped our organization increase its automation consumption. We were able to showcase the use cases and case studies we have completed to market our abilities and services.

What is most valuable?

IQ Bot is the most valuable integrated feature of Automation Anywhere.

What needs improvement?

For business users, the solution is complex and could be made more user-friendly.

It is not easy to integrate APIs with Automation Anywhere without a good knowledge of APIs.

The pricing of Automation Anywhere is higher compared to other solutions on the market, such as Microsoft Power Automate and UiPath, and it has room for improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Automation Anywhere is stable. We can rely on it without encountering any issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Automation Anywhere is highly scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The quality of technical support relies on the partnership we maintain with Automation Anywhere. Gold partners receive excellent service. As long as we maintain this relationship with Automation Anywhere, we can expect consistently good service. However, if the partnership is not in place, it may take some time, but we will still receive some answers eventually.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We still use multiple RPAs depending on the customers' requirements, including UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate.

UiPath has the ability to integrate with other products, whereas Automation Anywhere has limitations in integrating with APIs and other OCR tools.

What was our ROI?

We will see a return on investment eventually, but we need to be patient in order to realize the potential that Automation Anywhere offers three years down the line.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price for Automation Anywhere is high. I would rate the cost an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest cost.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Automation Anywhere eight out of ten. The integrations and pricing model are areas that need improvement. However, Automation Anywhere is a very effective tool, offering its own internal solutions. Automation Anywhere eliminates the need to rely on any other third-party solutions, which is a significant advantage.

For organizations interested in utilizing API automation, there are several tools available in the market. Additionally, numerous BPM tools can be employed for API integration. However, if they require desktop automation or process automation, Automation Anywhere is a recommended tool.

Our IT department maintains the solution. We maintain the bots once a quarter for one hour.

Easy to learn, has many features, and saves a lot of effort and time

  • July 13, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We are using Automation Anywhere for the automation of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement processes. We are automating invoices and supply chain processes.

How has it helped my organization?

By implementing Automation Anywhere, we wanted to automate repetitive tasks. Because of this solution, my business is able to complete the work quickly. It saves a lot of effort and hours. It is time-efficient and cost-efficient. It reduces human error and manual effort.

It takes three to six months to realize its benefits because businesses need some time to understand what is the difference, but going forward, with the enhancements, there is a reduction in the cost and errors.

The integration of RPA bots, APIs, business applications, and documents is easy in Automation Anywhere. It is not difficult to get the details from the Automation Anywhere University, learn it, and do it. There is training for everything. For the APIs or document processing, there is limited material, but anyone can still learn it on the go. We have a portal where we can ask questions and get answers or suggestions.

Automation Anywhere has helped our organization increase its automation consumption, but I do not have the metrics.

What is most valuable?

I use SAP connectors, and I use Excel operations and Windows operations. I also use the OCR functionality and the functionality for sending emails.

It is easy to learn. There is an assistant in Automation Anywhere, so even a layman can access it, utilize it, and quickly learn it. It is not a problem. It takes a week for a new person to start working on it. It is straightforward.

What needs improvement?

There are not many areas for improvement. As compared to V11, A360 is more user-friendly and flexible. It is fine. They have even included support for ChatGPT, Azure, and other things in the latest version. They have incorporated many latest technologies, such as AI, and there is always scope to improve the processes and have more stability.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Automation Anywhere for the past six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I can rely on it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Going forward, I can do more and more automations to save time. I can improve the business processes with the latest technologies as well, so from the scaling perspective, it is good.

I know our team is using Automation Anywhere, but I am not sure whether any other team is also using it. There might be more teams using it.

We have plans to increase its usage. We are getting more projects.

How are customer service and support?

For me, it is easy. Generally, if I am not able to understand something, I go through the documentation, and I am able to find the information quickly. In case of any issues, I inform the platform team, and they raise a ticket and get in touch with the Automation Anywhere team. They involve me in the issue description, but it is completely owned by the platform team because they do the first level of testing and go ahead with ticket creation and other things. The problem always gets resolved. In terms of time, the duration depends on the availability of the platform team.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use any other solution previously.

How was the initial setup?

I was not involved in its deployment. For its maintenance, the platform team is there, and they are doing the maintenance activity.

What other advice do I have?

It is an easy tool and easy technology. It is quick to learn. You can use Automation Anywhere University for learning.

Excel advanced operations are very good. Document processing is also very good. Handling of the web forms and sites is also good. Before using this solution, I thought it would take me time to automate all the processes, but I was able to use it easily.

Automation Anywhere is at the number one position now. That itself proves how good it is and how well it is doing. From the time I started using it, it has been going up. It never went down. There are more features and more technologies coming in.

To someone who wants to use API integration instead of an RPA solution, I would say that you can utilize the API integration in RPA as well. It might be a little faster in the API, but for certain business processes, you need user intervention or user clearance. In such cases, RPA is required.

Overall, I would rate Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten.

Enables us to digitize processes, optimize them, and reduce time and cost involved

  • July 07, 2023
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We have used it for many projects and many different types of companies. For example, we have used it to solve problems that companies have with backups, as well as issues of integration with legacy systems. We also use it for human resources and suppliers.

How has it helped my organization?

With Automation Anywhere, we can digitize a process, optimize it, and reduce the cost and the time that process takes. It has also reduced failures in processes.

We have used it to increase automation by 100 percent.

What is most valuable?

The development tools are very good. It's very user-friendly and easy to develop and deploy with Automation Anywhere. Ordinary people, within a few weeks, can develop a bot using the tool. It's very easy for business users, who don't have technical skills, to use.

The learning curve is low. Within two months, non-technical people can be trained to use it.

Administration of the environment of the solution is also a valuable aspect. Scheduling the bots and the Control Room are very good.

Another element that is easy is the integration of RPA bots, APIs, business applications, and documents.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It has good stability. It's a 10 out of 10.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The platform gives you an environment that you can easily scale within your company. The scalability is a nine out of 10.

How are customer service and support?

Their technical support is good, but it could be better.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used another RPA solution.

What was our ROI?

ROI is very good. We measure processes that we automate and calculate the reduced cost.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's the best RPA tool, but the pricing could be improved.

What other advice do I have?

Whether to use an API integration or an RPA solution depends on the use case. If there is a possibility of using an API integration, it could be better because the integration can be more secure. But if you have a legacy system where API integration is not possible you can use Automation Anywhere. It also depends on the expectations of the customer. Sometimes, the implementation via Automation Anywhere can be faster. If the customer doesn't have a lot of time and you need to deliver the solution, RPA could be the best solution.

And Automation Anywhere doesn't require any maintenance.

Automation Anywhere is one of the best tools on the market. It's a little expensive but if you implement it in your company, you should see return on investment.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The bots are a marvel allowing to automate business processes quickly and efficiently; the (AI) performs repetitive and manual tasks in the best possible way; I like being able to choose between public or private cloud, the security they offer is incredible, and the automation is fully integrated, all teams work simultaneously, the integration with Salesforce is the most robust of (AA), they are constantly updating, the support team is amiable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to integrate it with another service I use, ServiceNow; the interface is not simple. It needs practice and hours of understanding; when importing data to Excel, there may be errors in the process; I have had some problems with repetitions and some errors in the codes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You save a lot of work by using (AA); in the marketing and advertising sector, you automate repetitive processes in different commerce sectors; you can also automate more complex operations with your (AI). Advertising, marketing, security for customers, everything is automated and fees up time and stress at work.
