Robust solution with a good technical support team

What is most valuable?
Whenever the data center encounters issues, we can spin the data on the cloud or the on-prem appliance and reduce downtime using the solution. It is the most valuable feature of Rubrik.
What needs improvement?
The solution's reporting feature is very basic. It needs to be more advanced for detailed reporting.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the solution for two years now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is robust. I rate its stability a ten out of ten.

I rate the solution's scalability a nine out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The response time of the solution's technical support team is helpful. It provides detailed feedback on the issues as well. Thus, explaining the problems and steps taken to fix them becomes more accessible to the clients.
How was the initial setup?
The solution's initial setup process is straight forward if you get all the essential requirements from the client. Although, it takes work to ensure we have included the right SPF and network requirements for the data center.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution is expensive for small businesses. It suits medium to large enterprises. I rate its pricing a five out of ten. Also, some products are low-cost, while a few are more expensive than the solution.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Rubrik is solving is that it simplifies the complexities revolving around data management. Rubrik also takes good care of data protection and security which is always a plus.
Rubrik works great for backups
What do you like best about the product?
We love how intuitive it is. I tell everyone that Rubrik is a security company that does backups. They protect and enable us to proactively and reactively deal with threats while preserving the environment. We love the support, simplicity and security. We have really enjoyed the relationship that we have built and we look forward to growing in the cloud with Rubrik.
What do you dislike about the product?
We enjoy the benefits, and it is hard to find a dislike. We have been with them early on, watching them grow in size. They get better as they focus on enterprise pieces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This backs up our whole VM environment and a lot of physical servers as well. It allows us to share access with other teams so that they can also be involved in the protection.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is it helped us secure our data from ransomware and also helped with continuous monitoring and recovering our applications. Also, it made our data resilient by safeguarding it with secure backups.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that the threat containment is very poor compared to the competition and efficiently data can be compromised efficiently with phishing and DDoS attacks.

It is solving data protection loopholes which existed and securing the data, which has truly secured our data workloads and helped us be future-proof in preventing any cyberattacks

your backup data is immutable as soon as it is written to our purpose-built, append-only file system and cannot be modified, deleted, or encrypted by ransomware

we sold Rubrik to couple of clietns for their Nutanix Inf. At that time I was only on sales, so all the feedback I got was purely from the project team.
Managing data has become easier with Rubrik
What do you like best about the product?
The GUI of Rubrik is easy to use and anyone may use it, even those without technical skills. The SLA domain of the Rubrik backup platform is another excellent feature. This system, which we have been using for a year, is very affordable and simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with its data availability & data protection services has gone without any problems for us. I have nothing negative to say because the Rubrik platform provides our company with a superb zero-trust data protection architecture. The backup of our immutable data has likewise completed without any issues.

Rubrik is enterprise backup and cloud data analysis software. Across data centers and clouds, it is a technology platform that offers backup, swift recovery, archive, search, analysis, safety, and copy data management. No matter where it is throughout its lifecycle, data stored and backed up using Rubrik is secure in transit and at rest.
Greatest backup solution i've used
What do you like best about the product?
File and server recovery is a breeze. Live mounts work excellent by running apps or processes directly from the brick itself. Easy setup and easy administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ran into issues during the ipv6 discovery on our network using the bootstrap process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securely backing critical applications and servers up and keep downtime to a minimum. Great product for a small team and extensive infrastructure.

I have nothing but good things to say about the product. Easy setup and administration. Great peace of mind knowing everything is securely backed up.
HyperConverged Backup that's Simple and Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Rubrik truly is truly next-gen backup. It's simple to set up and backups just work as expected with no drama or questions. Compared to other backup solutions we've had in the past, the simplicity of setup and the consistence of backups is amazing and refreshing.
All backups are scheduled and conform to user-defined SLAs. The SLAs ensure that backups run on the defined schedule and are retained for the desired length.
Another big win is that Rubrik integrates with our VMware environment so agents aren't needed for backups. We've selectively added agents to servers for more granular restores and VSS backups. The agent (Rubrik calls them "connectors") don't require a reboot for installation or update and we haven't seen a noticeable performance impact.
Rubrik allows live-mounting backups so you can compare backups (server, SQL, etc) or use that backup snapshot as a dev/test environment with actual prod data.
Finally, everything in Rubrik is open API driven. This allows a high level of relatively easy customization and easy integration with other systems.

Rubrik is a startup and while they're growing rapidly, the product is not as mature as some competitors. We're waiting/hoping for some features in future versions that will make things better. Currently we can't back up AIX version 6 and AD backups aren't granular (only VSS snapshots).

You'll pay for the solution initially but will recoup much value in time spent over the long-term. The company is responsive and values its customers far more than other vendors I've worked with in the past. Rubrik support is extremely responsive, knowledgeable and fixes issues/questions quickly and pleasantly.
