Great Backup and Recovery solution

What do you like best about the product?
- ease of creating new backups
- don't have to worry about planning schedules anymore. All backups can start at the same time (if you like) and Rubrik manages it.
- great customer support
- fast and easy VM restores
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much not to like.

- Exchange mailboxes can´t be recovered without a 3rd party tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can manage thousands of backups without much effort and have really fast recovery times.

What do you like best about the product?
The Rubrik Security Cloud interface is very clean and intuitive to use. It is a one stop shop for all of our data protection wherever it lives - VMWare VM's, Azure VM's, SQL Databases, Oracle Databases, MS 365 (Mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) to name a few.
We can assign highly configurable SLA's to our data and let Rubrik handle the rest. The platform is zero trust, so our data is always available, encrypted and immutable.
The support team are also great, and have always resolved issues in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot! But if I had to say something, the search within the 365 data protection area could be a little better, particularly around searching for SharePoint sites and libraries. Perhaps we could also have a few more built in and customisable reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik is giving us the confidence that our data is completely protected and secure. Furthermore we know we can have immediate access to the data by leveraging technologies such as instant retore.

What do you like best about the product?
peace of mind backups, at last we know backups are secure, verified and threat free, restorations now take minutes compared to hours, live mount ability for SQL works a treat
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality gets announced but takes an age to filter through to our tenant, having some roadmap available to customers so it can be seen whats in development would be useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
local fast backup and cloud workload backup and recover with archiving tiering to cloud, with fully immutable storage, compared to previous products we save hours and hours of backup testing and recovery

What do you like best about the product?
Rubrik Backup, it is easy to use and it works without spending time each day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing.It is just a great Company with great products.

We had many problems with different Backup Jobs, now with Rubrik sla backup jobs it it much more easier. Backup is running without user interaction. If you have questions you can reach out for there great Support

What do you like best about the product?
Rubrik have been really approachable, happy to discuss any issues we might have and support has always got to the bottom of any problems we've had. The product itself is very user friendly, simple to use and also looks great! Every feature we've had to utilise so far has just, worked, and worked as expected as well (always a bonus!) The materials available for study of the products and getting involved with Rubrik (think, swag, customer engagement) has also been a plus point.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sizing, its taken us a long time (and is still ongoing) to get the sizing of the product correct, I'm not sure the retention policies and the way data 'ages out' of the platform was explained to us properly.
2. Alerts - Alert notifications were not as easy to configure and customise as I would have liked.
3. Integration with Oracle databases - Whilst we were told that the product supports Oracle native backups, it wasn't fully explained that this was only for a very specific configuration scenario.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us ensure backups are complete, reliable and on-time, we're also secure in the knowledge that our workloads are backed up in multiple locations, both on and off prem.

What do you like best about the product?
The backup procedure is fairly intuitive and highly customizable using RestAPIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some things that you have to go to support to have changed if your corporate policies demand it, and there are some things that can only be chnged using the API. However, I wouldn't change it because it would add unnecessary complexity for something that isn't a common occurrence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and efficient data recovery for thost accidental file deletions and corrupt servers. Not only am I more productive, I look like the hero when I can save the day in mere minutes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is simple to configure and scope out. The SLA is very easy to understand and configure. You define your RPO and RTO and the software will take care of the rest for you. It's quick and works well with the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you deal with cloud backups, the cost can add up really fast and that is expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik provides a reliable backup solution that was lacking with our previous vendor.

What is our primary use case?

The solution is used for data center, backup, and recovery. Also, two companies are looking for an ERP solution, a Cyber Recovery Vault.

What is most valuable?

Rubrik can be described as a single solution where most things are integrated, making the aforesaid detail its valuable feature.

What needs improvement?

Pricing is something that needs to be considered for improvement. Pricing needs improvement when compared with a similar product coming from a Cohesity. The cost side is a bit higher, making the solution costly for our company.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Rubrik for more than five years. My company functions as a service integrator of Rubrik.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I haven't encountered any bugs or glitches using the solution.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

My clients are mostly medium and enterprise-sized businesses.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

I still need to get feedback on Rubrik's support. I think that regarding the feedback, we never faced many issues on the support side. Hence, I rate the technical support a nine out of ten.

I rate the implementation a seven on a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy.

The majority of the deployments, like 80 percent, are done on-premises.

The deployment process takes a maximum of two weeks.

The number of people required for deployment depends on the data volume and the number of clients required. So, generally, we keep two people.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I rate the pricing an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high.

What other advice do I have?

I would definitely recommend the solution to those planning to use it.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Robust solution with a good technical support team

What is our primary use case?

We predominantly use the solution as a backup system to protect and manage the data. The data is logically air-gapped making the backup immune to malware.

What is most valuable?

Whenever the data center encounters issues, we can spin the data on the cloud or the on-prem appliance and reduce downtime using the solution. It is the most valuable feature of Rubrik.

What needs improvement?

The solution's reporting feature is very basic. It needs to be more advanced for detailed reporting.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using the solution for two years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is robust. I rate its stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the solution's scalability a nine out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

The response time of the solution's technical support team is helpful. It provides detailed feedback on the issues as well. Thus, explaining the problems and steps taken to fix them becomes more accessible to the clients.

How was the initial setup?

The solution's initial setup process is straight forward if you get all the essential requirements from the client. Although, it takes work to ensure we have included the right SPF and network requirements for the data center.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is expensive for small businesses. It suits medium to large enterprises. I rate its pricing a five out of ten. Also, some products are low-cost, while a few are more expensive than the solution.

What other advice do I have?

The solution is perfect. I rate it a ten out of ten.
