What do you dislike about the product?
The Rubrik product is still young (only a few years old), so it has some room to mature, specifically in the non-VMware backup space

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik has allowed us to stop focusing on the minutiae of running a homegrown backup storage/orchestration product and focus on automation of the infrastructure/deployment instead

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Rubrik is great for anyone who is looking for a backup product to plug in to an existing automation system, as its API is very full-featured (by design). Rubrik is not so great if you're looking for a drop-in replacement for a monolithic legacy backup platform like CommVault or NetBackup

Excellent Backup and Replication Solution
What do you like best about the product?
-It's quick and fast.
-Easy User Interface and Beautiful design
-Pretty much universal support: Windows, Linux
-Easy to learn and it's like an Apple Time Machine backup where you can browse for files and mount pretty much instantly.
-The GUI and management is simply very easy to use.

Nothing bad about this product. The product performs well and efficiently. Pricing is a different issue because you pay what you get and this product delivers well so it's expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily backups, archives, and instant DA recovery. This product is fast and delivers.

What do you like best about the product?
Searchable Content - search for file across datasets allows for quick restores.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing functionality - allow for more granular intervals across different time segments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backups now can implement incremental forever. These backups take place over network and reduce the amount of infrastructure we need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I feel Rubrik is well suited for customers that want to run high amount of snapshots per day and wish for a lower RPO granularity for restore. It is less appropriate for perhaps customers that want to run all their backups in one evening because of how jobs are queued and spread across the backup window.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy implementation and backup design, the ability to archive all your backups to a cloud object store like S3 is a great way to cut down on DR costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited reporting and almost no ability to customize reports.

What do you dislike about the product?
Out of the box reporting could be better - However the API interface allows the generation of custom reports and the ability to retrieve any detail from the system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s improved operational efficiency, as we now don’t have to spend time scheduling backups, and has created very tangible savings. In the next 5 years we expect to save over 55% switching from our legacy provider to Rubrik. It’s also mitigated us against any future data centre blackouts through its Azure replication capabilities - while significantly reducing our power consumption and footprint in the data centre.
Hands down the best backup product I have used
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and speed of backups/recovery is a real plus. The search on the web interface is also one of the best I have used and works really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost a lot but still worth it with the features it offers. Could offer more in the way of e-mail reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides us with streamlined restores on user files or virtual machines when we encounter issues.

No backup window anymore, Rubrik is going to decide when to backup based on SLAs

The need of 10GE networking is in some environment quite challenging. They should have allowed 1 Gbps bandwidth with a warning about performance not optimal

What do you like best about the product?
I do not need to monitor it all the time. I can just create SLA's and apply them to VM's/servers. Then I can sit back and let it backup. When we have run into issues support has been very easy to work with. Since they are still a new/growing company they take customer feedback seriously and look to implement it where they can.

Some features do not work as shown, but support has been great to help resolve these issues.

Don't just look at the cost and say its too high. Do a true apples to apples comparison and make sure you understand the long term costs of all solutions.
