Gitlab for Code repo and CI/CD
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab has the potential to do version control, automation, management tool, and much more on a single platform. It has evolved a lot in the past couple of years and has become really mature platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is quite not good compared to the competitors. Sometimes it's confusing or unusable. It takes time to get habituated with the interface but once you are familiar it's good enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Source code management, Code review, Quality checks of the code, CI/CD automation, general analytics of the project, Issue tracking and management, Deployment on multiple environments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool if you want to do CI/CD along with source code management

What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab provides us a good interface for code reviews between team members. In Gitlab we can create branches and the brunches can be reviewed. We can able to work independently on our own branch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike but can improve by having more security integration and the ability to check the code vulnerability. It can be integrated sithtmore features in security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to integrate with CIE and rapidly deploying solution applications and projects is great. It is very easy to use. It also merge our code and tracks another branch. The graph diagrams are also very useful.

i didn't like UI it can be improved in my opinion

We are managing our code base and integrating it with jenkins

What do you like best about the product?
The Source Code Management of GitLab and GIT-based architecture is the best point. The Complete DevOps operations can be handled by just using GitLab. The way it manages multiple people working on a single project can immensely help you on your tasks. You can have multiple braches on the source code and merge as you work on them. It has been a great tool for the DevOps Operations as well. This Tool has also given us the feature to review the code easily. I could review the code on the code and also could tell the juniors and team member about the bugs in theri codes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not user-friendly considering a newbie who comes to the platform. The tutorials and how to use the tool documentation is not enough for a starter. It takes more than the documentation for someone to start using GitLab. When I began using GitLab, I had to take help from my peers to understand the tool's architecture. The documentation was not sufficient for a clear understanding of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My whole team and I can work simultaneously on a single project. It has benefitted us in the collaborative space. We can secure, manage and deploy the codes easily and hassle-free. Our productivity has risen to sky-high levels due to GitLab's features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you planning to use GitLab for the very first time, you need to take care that it needs certain days for you to become ok with the tool. It is not very easy to use I'll say. If you have someone to guide you through the process then approach him/her.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the each and evey feature of this software application because it helps me alot in managing and controlling the code it also make easy to share code among many colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not feel that there is any feature in this application that i dislike .its very amazing application that supports me alot in achieving my goals .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It works, pretty good interface too. Easy for beginners to work through and it's pretty consistent with what else is out there
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't really standout because it's so similar. Perhaps I haven't used any advanced maneuvers/features yet, but for basic and regular it's good enough for basics push pull clone and things like that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's mainly students using it for assignments. It's pretty easy to use, consistent with other designs used in industry.

UI and UX of the gitlab and the way different features are organized.

Sometimes Ui become slow and non responsive

It is not the easiest product to manage software version control

Sometime it is not so intuitive the work you have to do

It's easy to use. Creating PRs is easy to do. The dev ops pipelines are apparently really good.

Slow with large files. Lacks some of the nice features of GitHub like pages amd Actions.

What do you like best about the product?
The learning curve for Gitlab is relatively low. If you are familiar with any git operations at all and have used Bitbucket or Github, then you will be right at home. The community version is also free, which is a massive boon to startup founders and individual developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unlike bitbucket, I find that the system becomes slower as you scale. It becomes a bit laggy when you have over 200 developers working on the same repo. It could just be a limitation of the community version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab is the default code repository and version control system in our company. It's great to see all the different repositories consolidated in one platform. This makes it easier for any developers in the organization to share standard code and do peer reviews.
