Good platform that does the work
What do you like best about the product?
I liked Veeam backup, especially the feature for office 365 as it provides seamless integration with office 365 without the need for heavy coding or configuration compared to other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be a bit of a hit as it is priced per user, which might be expensive sometimes with a couple of specific setups, but other than that, it is a great product that does the job correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to figure out a way we could backup office 365 emails, teams, and one drive in an external place other than Microsoft servers in a straightforward manner, as doing so in different platforms can be super complicated; this is where we used veeam.

It fuctions basically the same as any other veeam.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations with backing up private channels.

Prevention of loss mainly.
Easy to use option for backing up MS 365
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to configure and maintain, and is free for up to 10 users to be backed up. Can backup emails, OneDrive, Sharepoint etc and files can be restored locally rather than direct to cloud storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly am unable to find anything to complain about in this instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A fairly low cost way of backing up our Office 365 data. Although 365 does offer some basic backup functionality in the method of previous versions and a recycle bin, for the sake of a free product (for up to 10 users) or a fairly low-cost, then the peace of mind is invaluable.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup for M365 can easily be installed and configured, and protects all your daily business data and communication from data loss or accidently deletion. I makes the IT Department much more relaxed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime the connection to the stores is lost, so we had to create a recurring task to restart the services and after that it works again. This should not be necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem if data from M365 is accidently lost and is needed. Cause the data is in MS Cloud and not directly accessible it makes it possible to have physical access to the data behind the cloud.

no option to buy licenses directly from Veeam

Good way to save your Office 365
What do you like best about the product?
It backups up ALL of the items with Office 365 - Email you would expect, but also notes, calendars, sharepoint and one drive items. Plus, you can control how long they are saved.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have MFA turned on in O365, it's a bit tricky to setup the login for the backup. There is documentation, but it is a bit hard to find. Other than that there really isn't anything I've found to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first time I needed this was when a user deleted notes they had in Outlook. O365 doesn't back these up and they don't go into the recycle bin. WIth Veeam, I was able to restore his notes. I also had the case where a person had gone through their email deleting unnecessary items, then at the end of the day accidentally deleted all of their email for the day. They could have restored all of their deleted items from the day but then would have had to go through the email again to remove the unneeded items. Because backup had completed, we were able to restore only the items that they meant to keep in their inbox.
Solid Self-hosted backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's self-hosted. It gives me control over the backups. I also like the easy integration with Azure. It makes it easy to get going. Also, recovering files is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had problems with entire repositories becoming irrecoverable. Veeam support was helpful, but ultimately unable to recover them. I also have no idea why I can't just buy licenses from Veeam. Instead, I need to go through a third party.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MS365's file recovery is about the worst I could imagine. So, it's great for recovering files and folders after deletion. And it's great for protecting against ransomware.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
external hard drives are easy to swap out and apply to a job. very little hiccups and full reporting on errors, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
no public folder backup available anymore

fast backup times of mailboxes with added ability to create psts.

it's really user-friendly and easy to set up a backup for Microsoft 365 tenant on-premise or in the cloud
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way to buy a license directly from Veeam instead to buy a license from third parties.

What do you like best about the product?
The backup was pretty simple to setup and configure. I was up and backing up within 30 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is having to create a storage space, and then attaching it to the server that Veeam is running on in order to back it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is solving the ability to backup 365 mailboxes. I tested other vendor backup, and ultimately went with Veeam for its ease of use.
