Interesting suite of Jenkins
What do you like best about the product?
Central administration, support, regular updates
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation could be better, often we miss recent information.
Support is not yet familiar with Azure.
Support is not yet familiar with Azure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems trying to solve: Provide a central service to quickly add new Jenkins masters; reduce amount of 'loose' / 'rogue' Jenkins OSS master installations all-over the company (on-prem as well as cloud); high-available setup; require less resources to be online all the time.
Benefits realized: still piloting

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Large companies trying to consolidate Jenkins usage in the company and/or trying to provide such a tool for a large number of developers or development teams can get a good benefit from the tool when the project is approached in a complete matter: do not just add/place a new product but arrange a full organization update, trainining and guidance into the new methodologies made available and make sure to set SMART targets before and measure up after to be able to report and evaluate progress.

1. UI, Look and Feel
2. Configurinig Freestyle / Maven jobs is painful
3. No version control for Configuration Items
2. Configurinig Freestyle / Maven jobs is painful
3. No version control for Configuration Items
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Core for CI Automation and also CD to a great extent. We felt no real need to go with an external system by using Community plugins. Pipelines have increased our productivity multifold and has avoided duplication and laborious
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start and get first hand experience using Cloudbees before trying any other options. You can start by form based job options and once you acquire some comfort migrated to pipelines and advance methodologies.
Amazing
What do you like best about the product?
CD for docker is the best to create images without much issues and delay.
What do you dislike about the product?
We currently have 3 engineers working on creating value streams for a small, CI/CD project.this need improvement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to build valuestream using cloud bees and it helps us in the solution
Easy to user and manage things
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of cloud bees is that it can scale the build as it is based on Kubernetes it is really better then traditional jenkins server
What do you dislike about the product?
Backup process in case the cluster goes down is not optimal and easy to perform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated build an deployment on various environments, based on PR creation
CloudBees core make deployment more easy
What do you like best about the product?
It is all in one including everything needed to run your deployment infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such expect paid training to learn
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reliable and efficient faster development
I heard about it and saw it at work
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to spin up multiple jenkins masters, being able to manage role-based access
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the plugin upgrade/downgrade impact the jobs which results in build job failure, Role based access control can still be improved, Some of the Plugin can be moved to tier 1, No easy way to monitor the performance of Jenkins, Buggy Jenkins Global config UI, No central place to manage agent configurations (AMI), No metrics to predict current load patterns
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RBAC, jenkins dependency-hell
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
Jenkins is a great tool, but I don't see much difference between regular Jenkins and CloudBees. Maybe better scalability.
What do you dislike about the product?
CloudBees is commercial and it is not free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jenkins is more versatile if I compare it to TeamCity, what I previously used.
Great Pipeline Tool with lots of plugin support
What do you like best about the product?
I love that for my CI/CD pipelines, I have the ability to integrate with all of my favorite systems. Updates with CORE are easier to handle, and coordinate compatibility with supported plugins. The dashboards around around job runs are easy to read and highlight the historical success for your jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing is a little confusing, but once you get past that it is easy to maintain. I don't like the complexity of setting up jobs. Other products have full GUI interfaces, which make it easy to use for end users without needing to learn Groovy code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fully automating software builds and related test procedures. Deployed code to Puppet Enterprise with GIT. Used build machines to build and test applications. Integrated with vRealize Automation as well to spin up environments on demand for testing purposes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Determine what your needs are and make sure that whatever product you choose checks all the boxes. With Jenkins Core, it is likely that you will find a plugin that will check most of them.
CloudBees Jenkins in Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
CJOC, Plugins, Shared Libraries and moreover support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been working with opensource and CloudBees Jenkins only. So never got a chance to compare with other tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complete Work Flow. We have accelerated our Build and Deployment processes. Mostly all projects are doing CICD.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Many say CloudBees Jenkins is a CICD but for us it is an orchestration tool. Using Jenkins, not only we achieved CICD but also using as a scheduler, automating the migrations, start and stopping the service etc.
Cloudbees core benefits
What do you like best about the product?
It gives us the flexibility to run builds on pods without the hassle of setting up static agents in most cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the processes around upgrades and certificates handling
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for our enterprise CICD orchestration
