Does the job

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very simple, pretty, and user-friendly! It's nice to see what projects I have coming up ahead of time - that way I can prepare for them accordingly. I also get an idea of which projects to prioritize based on where they are on a calendar day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't make much use of the other tabs besides the Schedule tab. I'm often prompted to update it in the middle of the day, without knowing exactly what updates are taking place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it really helps employees to know what projects are coming up. We also have more than one producer, so it helps the producers schedule and prioritize time as needed on designers/dev/motion artists, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think that what I dislike is that the tools are not straight forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling and availability. We have improved our workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make the tools more user friendly, maybe implement a menu

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We analyzed several reviews before getting a Float license for our maintenance team. What impressed us is the ease of use and immediate approach of the user interface. Even non tech skilled people can easily plan and update activities, without spending too much time on the software itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, almost 1 year after adopting Float, we can't identify any particular downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Float we are able to coordinate a whole maintenance workforce and schedule all the activities for a manufacturing plant (pharma industry), very efficiently. The software has been thought to be time saving, and allows to focus on what really matters. Learning curve rise pretty immediately, and the final user feels a real benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
After a long session of review screening and trials, we decided to stay Float. This software represent the easiest and time saving platform to allocate your personnel on several tasks, regardless the complexity you need to manage in your company or industry. Highly recommended!

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best is the ability to be emailed my daily schedule every day. The colorful calendar interface is super easy to view. The general UI is clear and easy to use for a range of different users. The ability to filter the calendar down so as to only see a selection of users schedules is good too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface takes a bit too long to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clearly outlines my tasks for the day. Means the overall productivity is higher.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it.

Brilliant tool for resource management

  • January 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, good UX, Really quick to set up and get going
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited number of features, though this has only become a dislike now we are maturing the function, it helped with the quick setup!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had to keep track of what our resources are up to - contractors, in-house staff etc. to ensure we don’t over-commit and deliver projects on time. There was no tool for this before so a quick implementation and ease of use were essential. Float is great for quickly giving you the information you need, simple to implement and yet usually sufficient for your needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider how many licences you may need - include the first administrator. Licensing is on a per-resource to be scheduled basis.

A simple yet effective tool for managing resources

  • January 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to use and illustrates resources who are under-utilised.
What do you dislike about the product?
The schedule id drive by resources, rather then projects. It would be good to select a customer and see what projects are scheduled and below that what resources are scheduled. This way you can see what projects are in need to resourcing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it allows us to control the day to day work assignments of your team of consultants.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a goot tool and doesn't over complicate the process.

Float Scheduling Review

  • January 16, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Usability and ease of use. The app is intuitive. It makes resource scheduling a breeze. One of the best UX I have seen until this day. Assigning tasks to team members with a single click couldn't be handier. All of the tools to drag, insert, slice, and duplicate tasks are right at your fingertip. Powerful search features allow our project manager to find the right people with the right skills and also manage their availability. The streamline interface is unbeatable
What do you dislike about the product?
The iOS app needs some minor tweaks to enhance the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling time and resources within our organization has become a breeze. Cleaning up scheduling messes is not longer an issue.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it already if you haven't
