A pretty good tool for managing work assignment
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can quickly enter tasks without needing to link it to specific ticketed work. I can slide things around as priorities and deadlines change.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that if i had to add a block of time onto someone, that it would automatically push the work that was already on them out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used this to better see who's working on what and for how long. It's been great to get a holistic view of everyone at once, and has helped our development team know what to expect.

The interface is simple yet functional. You can have an overview of all schedules in a single page.

Some minor glitches when the screen is crowded.

A little clunky to use, but useful

Being able to see what other people in my team are working on, quickly.

Adding new tasks can be a bit difficult, autofill seems more a hindrance than help.

Seeing what team members are working on, and when they have spare time for other job is useful.

The user interface for adding PTO can be improved.

Easy to understand, and not hideous to look at (like most programs).

Would be good to be able to look at overall projects, not just people. Project overviews instead of people.

Time management, seeing when designers have been overloaded with work.

Fast and easy to use interface, flexibility in planning possible future projects.

The reporting tool works well but could provide more detailed reports.

We use Float to manage resources across multiple projects and forecast future resource requirements.

Communication and support from Float is excellent. They are incredibly responsive and consistently helpful.
Fantastic tool
What do you like best about the product?
Float has saved our team so much time and trouble by allowing us to do scheduling flexibly. Our team loves using this, and this has helped us to maximize our resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first started using the platform, it was a little clunky to edit events. But over time, as we provided feedback to the Float team, they've been extremely receptive and have improved the platform significantly in response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to figure out how to best allocate and track projects among a team. This has saved us lots of time and we are able to figure out what everyone is working on. We're also able to use the tool to better find bottlenecks in our work.

Give it a shot - you won't be disappointed.
Makes sceduling easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love the control panel user interface. It is a web based solution that accepts one to drag and drop schedules. one can also have many people under one project and assign tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding departments is hidden and the specific departments are not present in the panel as a drop down

Resource management was quite a task and it is now way easier.

I would recommend this simple software for project managers. It is simple and great

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use intuitive application. Everybody uses it at our company to check what is planned for him/her for the next few days/weeks. Projects / clients can be added and differentiate them with different colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say anything bad about it. Cannot easily set special workdays, like some saturdays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This year we doubled our team, this happened so fast, that it lead to a little chaos. It was solved with proper resource managent using Float.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We have 4 teams, with about 6 members / team. This amount of people can only be organized and managed with such resource planning / management tool.
