  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best tool for resource management. Allows you to forecast and manage active projects. Ability to estimate and manage profitability of project based on the team rates. Flexible permissions allow you to give different members of the team access to manage projects and team. Reporting gives a granular view of a Projects phases and tasks which makes it easy to share information with clients. Time tracking is a breeze with team able to track time against already scheduled tasks, adjusting the time and adding notes as needed. The Float support team are super friendly and responsive, answering questions within a few hours. Our team uses Float multiple times a day and gives everyone clear direction on what its happening now, in the future and the past. Easy to onboard team members and integrates with Google Workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no "Project Management" features, so you'll need to use Float alongside another PM tool like Asana, Jira, ClickUp, Trello etc. However this does make it easier to onboard teams already using these tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allows us plan ahead and avoid situations where we've got work to do but nobody available to do it.

Intuitive Schedule View, But Confusing Email Notifications

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who is scheduled rather than creating the schedule, I don't make edits to it. However, I find the view to be clear and the layout intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email notifications I get when my schedule changes are always confusing—I can never figure out what has been added or removed, which day the change is for, or what the specific task is. On top of that, I hardly ever use the report feature because, as it is now, it doesn't feel very useful or effective to me. The mobile view is also quite frustrating; when I try to view a scheduled task, a pop-up appears, but there’s no way to close it and return to the main schedule.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Float for scheduling and time management. It allows project managers and me to easily organize and allocate my time across multiple projects, making it much simpler to coordinate my workload.

Clear Task Management, but more filtering options

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Float is that it allows me to easily view my tasks for the upcoming week within my workplace. Not only can I keep track of my own assignments, but I can also filter and view the work of other team members. The information is presented in a clear and customizable format, making it simple to organize and understand everyone's workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the thing that I dislike most about float is that the colours can be quite confusing as a result some people may be overwhelmed by the page which could lower productivity. Also there could be more filters
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float solves the problem of not knowing what I have to do for the day and that everything is clearly displayed just as I need it and it is only a search away.

Excellent for Team Planning, But Mobile and Load Times Need Improvement

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about float is it's log time, schedule, project plan visuals and it makes easy to schedule task on it. Seriously, for day to day management it's an best software/app. It helps me avoid team burnout and the utilization reports make tracking billable time and planning future tasks way less painful. Float just takes the stress out of figuring out who's working on what or what schedule i have for future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Float offers a good interface on the web, but its mobile experience feels too limited for handling detailed management tasks. Additionally, the loading times on the web version can be frustrating, as it sometimes takes ages for Float to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It prevents the constant scrambling and guesswork involved in assigning work. It shows a real time, color coded view of utilization, allowing my manager to proactively rebalance workload. By accurately tracking and reporting on both billable and non-billable hours, it also helps my manager set more precise project prices.
