Great for Project Managers and Design Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Float is a great tool for project managers to track time and hours for our design teams including scheduling out projects for the year. Its simple and intuitive to use and quick to make adjustments during phases. has a lot of great quality of life features that definitly makes it more efficient to use over other products.
For example it allows our team to make scheduling adjusmtents when projects go on hold, or have temporary stopping pooints as it allows it to organize our team to fill hours where it is needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Downside to float, is it makes it a bit difficult to integrate into our time and expense tracking software, but it is still quick to update to match, however it adds a bit of additional work to go back and match our expense software. I definitely wish it had some sort of integration like that to make it more efficeint for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps us plan out project hours for the entire year by adding teamamtes and availaiblity within our organization to help us maximise our efficiency with scheduling hours for projects. Albeit there are certainly some features we wish it had, overall it makes it easier for us to organize our team for critical project deadlines. In addition, it helps us see where we have time to fill and how many hours we have used/have left in each project phase.

Very easy to set schedules for work.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set custom hours on projects and descriptions allows me as the user to know what i am cracking on with.

Currently i have no issues with float, as it is serving its purpose.

Depending on what the administrator has set up, it can sometimes feel a little bit rigid.

Time keeping and project management woiuld be the main benefits.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and quick to see who's working on what and when. Fast way to adapt to changing project requirements and team availability.

Would be good to be able to converse on task details with colleagues - and simple things missing like right click > duplicate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float stops endless to-do lists and people overcomitting. It keeps our resource aligned with our project needs, which keeps things on track nicely.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to update for different projects and allocate time to different tasks within this. It is also helpful that you are able to colour code, we use this to be able to identify which manager the job relates to.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult when running off reports, for example upcoming time booked to a client in the next month, to obtain the correct data and sometimes needs a bit of trial and error to obtain the correct output data from this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to allocate time for upcoming jobs and shows where we have gaps/excess resource and could therefore use these to win more work. It also shows pinch points in resource and where deadlines clash.

What do you like best about the product?
We use float everyday as it is very easy to use and we never run into issues with the software. It make managing a team very easy as you have a live overview of availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't currently dislike anything about the float platform. I perhaps need to explore the functionality a bit more as I don't use this for anythign other than scheduling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get a clear view of the team's availability and it helps spread our workload of new projects that come into our design studio. It also makes it clear to employees what is expected of them each day.

The way that it now inputs tasks for you, based on the last task you put against that job and phase.

It allows you to see all project timelines at once which allows one place for resource management
Solid tool for logging scheduled hours
What do you like best about the product?
Clean, simple UI. Better than other tools I've used in the same market. It feels very intuitive, though my company had induction for the tool I was able to navigate without any further assistance. It seems to integrate well with other tools/platforms as our leave booking sytem automatically propogates to time scheduled in Float.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating the calendar view is slightly clunky. I'd find it much more helpful to have an overall calendar view of the month so I can quickly scan my hours logged without having to traverse multiple screens.
