Using VBrick Rev for internal training and communication

  • May 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use for administrators and integration into Cisco Webex environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use Active Directory for authentication of our organization's users. That works well. But when we want to use Rev to have specific non-org users view a video training we have created, the tools for allowing access and reviewing attendance are not quite right for us. We probably need more of a Learning Management System, but it would be great if Rev provided a bit more functionality in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rev has become our official repository for recordings of online training. We like that. It's helpful for onboarding new employees, and allowing people to view training on-demand.

The best option on the market for low bandwidth Orgs

  • February 06, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Vbrick's approach with cloud to prem LAN/WAN distribution sets it apart from most if not all its competitors in the marketplace. The Distributed Media Engine and REV connect now offer distribution to corporate site of all sizes with modern distribution. The REV platform is also based on open standards so media, live streams, and integrations can be done with either turn-key solutions or via a powerful REST API.
What do you dislike about the product?
At scale managing the IP zones required to distribute content on the LAN can be cumbersome, the technology is rock solid but the management and upkeep can at times be a pain with M&A activities or network redesigns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving closer to turn-key webcasting. The video on demand benefits though are where we really see the most benefit. Corporate recordings of any kind including audio only podcasts can be uploaded, trans-coded, and delivered to end users without much of the complexity I have seen in other solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unlike most cloud hosted solutions Vbrick offers prem distribution. cloud only solutions belie the fact that most organizations do not have perfect bandwidth everywhere, Vbrick is extremely invested in the Enterprise Content Distribution Network (eCDN) and this is extremely important to most corporate implementations.

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive interface and easy to use for any novice user. Support wide variety of media formats. Easy integration/embedding to HTML pages
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing noticeable we have noticed as of today. Initially we had seen some kind of lag and latency but after complete implementation its smooth as butter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

A great way to share information

  • January 28, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Vbrick is how easy it is for the user to share information to it's colleagues in a very interactive environment. The Q&A, chat, and polling features make it easy for viewers to participate in live webcasts. Along with the ability to record your live webcasts and then share the VOD for people who missed the live event is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many things that I dislike but there are some features that could be added to make it easier to administer Teams. Like being able to bulk add members to the team would be a great feature especially if you have a large amount of members on your team it would be very convenient if we could add users with a .csv file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we had a long process to create Live webcasts we would have to create a web page for each event. Now with VBrick it's so much easier to create edit and manage webcasts for users. The process has made it so easy so that we can tackle.

VBrick Rev helps us get the word out, and keeps improving month to month.

  • January 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rev makes it easy for us to create our internal, online learning classes (they're really basic - just an instructor and a powerpoint) from our videoconference connections. But with the tech updates and improvements Vbrick makes to Rev every month - and the monthly release webinars to update us all about them - I'm finding it possible to integrate Rev with my Cisco infrastructure, as well as Zoom. The new AI features - facial recognition, etc. - I hope to exploit in the near future.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are using Webex Meeting, Training, and Events more and more. I'd like to see some easier integrations with these platforms on Rev.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving our need to keep an active continuing education portal.

Youtube for the enterprise

  • November 24, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Vbrick works hard to update products like REVS making it very up to date with graphics and trends making it very familiar for users.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have great support but it’s occasionally inconsistent with answers to the same question. We’ve had problems with browser capabilities sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need a way to store videos to share them internally and externally. We perform many live stream events as well.
