Efficient, Intuitive Server Management with Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
I like to use the commands and the way Ubuntu handles the server. Most importantly, Ubuntu is a part of the Docker containers that I build to host my application. The commands and interface are really intuitive, making it really easy to use compared to other Linux resources like Kali. Ubuntu makes it really easy to deploy, manage, and scale applications on the server side and on the cloud. The resource efficiency is particularly beneficial since I can't spend a lot on server RAM, and it makes the system computationally efficient, allowing me to post it on the server easily. These aspects help me greatly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Ubuntu crashes. It's quite rare, but sometimes it does, and that can be improved. It causes a little bit of debugging for me, especially when my local Ubuntu in Windows gets corrupted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu simplifies server-side application deployment with its intuitive commands and interface. It's resource-efficient, making it cost-effective for my startup with limited RAM budget. Ubuntu's integration with Docker also helps in building and hosting my applications easily on servers and cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Ubuntu as a Windows Subsystem for Linux in my Windows system for Docker and Redis. It's a Linux-based system, so I can do a lot of things over the terminal, making it easy to deal with Docker containers. I like that it has all the Linux tools in its distro repository, which means I can easily install any tool I need, whether it's to run Docker, MySQL, or Java. The initial setup of Ubuntu is very much easy; you can install it as a virtual machine, via Docker, as WSL, or even dual boot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the GUI thing can be improved. Ubuntu has a laggy GUI; it can be made more faster and smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Ubuntu for running Docker and Redis on Windows via WSL. It solves issues by providing a Linux terminal, making it easy to manage Docker containers. Having all the Linux tools in the distro repo lets me install tools for Docker, MySQL, or Java easily.

One thing that could be improved in Ubuntu is hardware and driver compatibility, especially with some Wi-Fi adapters, printers, or graphics cards, which sometimes need extra setup. Also, certain popular software and games aren’t always available natively, so workarounds like alternatives or emulators are needed. While these issues aren’t major, fixing them would make Ubuntu even more user-friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
A Linux-based operating system with one of the best GUIs among other distros. I find it very useful for day-to-day software development tasks.

I faced screen flickering issues while working with a dual-monitor setup.

Efficient for Development, Needs Better UI
What do you like best about the product?
I find it fascinating that Ubuntu is open source. I like how Ubuntu is very simple and its terminal is always ready, which is quite different from the Windows command prompt. The installation and build process is pretty fast. It's great that Ubuntu helps me make my development more swift and easy, especially when working with big NPM modules. Testing changes locally is also easier compared to other systems. Performance-wise, Ubuntu is much faster and more secure compared to Windows. It gives a good developer support with tools like Docker, Python, NodeJS, AWS, and Java. I also appreciate the good extensions and customization options. The availability of tutorials is helpful for setup, and the process is easy, especially for small-scale projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI definitely needs improvement. Sometimes people might get lost if they are used to the Windows-style layouts. Printing from the OS is not so great, and WiFi and Bluetooth access could be better. Sometimes it also causes boot problems.
