Continuous learning has improved dental staff skills and now increases patient trust and revenue

  • April 13, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I usually use Coursera for Business for continuous learning and skill development of our clinical staff.

I use Coursera for Business to access courses like patient management, communication skills and courses related to infection control, courses related to modern changes in dentistry. All these courses help us to upgrade our clinical knowledge and keep our standard of care very high for our patients.

What is most valuable?

Coursera for Business mainly helps for gaining clinical knowledge and patient handling skills. It keeps us updated about the latest trends in the dentistry world, and it allows us flexibility to access the course whenever we are free from our work.

The flexibility is very good because it doesn't hamper our day-to-day clinical works. We can access the course whenever we want and whenever we are free. The second feature is that the courses are of very high quality from leading universities and industry experts. This really helps us to get valuable knowledge which improves our clinical operations and our patient treatment care.

Coursera for Business fits into our clinic's schedule because it doesn't hamper our day-to-day clinical activities. We don't have to reschedule patients or postpone treatment because we are learning something. We can easily access the course whenever we have time and complete those courses. The courses that are listed on Coursera for Business are from good, reputable universities, and the knowledge that is shared within those courses is very valuable. This helps us to increase our efficacy.

The courses related to modern practices are very beneficial because we get to know about the latest training that is going on in our dentistry world. Parts focusing on infection control and patient management are very helpful in gaining knowledge and implementing it in our day-to-day clinical practice.

Coursera for Business helps to increase the clinical staff's knowledge and patient handling skills and communication skills. These are really helpful in the day-to-day operation of our dental clinic because it improves the patient experiences, which in turn brings more patients to our clinic and helps to increase our revenue.

I have seen the patient retention and new patient inflow increase because the clinical staff's clinical skills and patient handling skills have improved. When patients see the improvement in infection control and patient management, it really leaves a positive impact on them, which helps to bring more patients into our clinic and increases the revenue of our clinic.

What needs improvement?

Coursera for Business can be improved in several ways.

I think some courses listed within Coursera for Business are of low quality, so we don't get much valuable knowledge from them. Additionally, specific courses related to dentistry are limited, so they can increase the courses related to dentistry. This would be highly helpful.

Courses are delivered in a cloud-based format, so we don't need much infrastructure to access the courses. The only improvement is that they can improve the quality of some courses and they can add more courses related to dentistry.

I have been using Coursera for Business for more than one year.

Coursera for Business is quite a stable and reliable tool.

What was our ROI?

Coursera for Business helps to save money from the costly in-hand training that clinical staff needs to undergo. Online training is cheaper and can be availed from anywhere. The flexibility is key as it doesn't hamper our day-to-day clinical work, so we can focus on our patient treatment and generate revenue as it was going normally. The courses help to improve the clinical staff's knowledge and patient handling skills, which in turn brings more patients and adds more revenue to our clinic.

Targeted online courses have boosted employee skills and improved client retention

  • April 06, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

Coursera for Business has almost all the courses that a student or a working professor like me needs to grow. I have purchased many courses for me and my team at budget-friendly prices. Coursera for Business has collaboration with multiple international universities to solve competency-related issues. It also provides many courses for free, and we can pay in multiple installments.

If you need to train your employees in a specialty or improve their current knowledge, then Coursera for Business is definitely the best choice.

I have implemented employee training by developing a training plan for my team in Coursera for Business.

What is most valuable?

Coursera for Business offers excellent features including international university collaboration, a user-friendly website and app, multiple payment options, and a variety of courses.

The collaboration with multiple international universities and the user-friendly website of Coursera for Business helps my team solve competency-related issues. The platform is very user-friendly with easy navigation and intuitive scrolling to find desired courses.

Coursera for Business has positively impacted my organization by increasing client retention by thirty-five percent. Client acquisition of resources and people has increased, and training and certification costs have decreased.

What needs improvement?

Coursera for Business can be improved because the passing criteria of eighty percent is somewhat high. A more flexible passing criteria would be beneficial. Deadline requirements to pass a certificate can be time-challenging.

The slide content is outdated for some courses.

The peer review system for assignments should be improved in Coursera for Business.

Another area for improvement is that personalized feedback from professors and instructors is not available, and the discussion forum section needs to be modernized.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Coursera for Business for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Coursera for Business has not presented any stability issues.

What was our ROI?

I measured the thirty-five percent increase in client retention because our clients were satisfied with our team members' ability to gain vast knowledge and tackle more products on time and deliver them to clients. Client retention increased because they were happy with our services.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

What do you like best about the product?
Really good way to improve yourself and team, and develop in other professional interests, I like the variance of topics you can choose from, aswell as the ease of use, aswell as ability to get certifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, all these learning platforms (linkedin academy, coursera, preply) are some of the best investments companies can make into perks, have your team develop and take themselves to the next level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me personally, I've learned a lot through there when it comes to digital marketing, finance, AI, etc. I use it as a tool to become an industry expert, I'm in sales, so general knowledge is always good to have in different industries.

From concept to deployment in weeks: fast, structured, and collaborative

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the ability to curate, brand, and deploy high-quality training paths quickly using CourseBuilder. Coursera’s catalog offers global expertise on emerging topics like AI, with recognized micro-credentials that boost learner motivation and employability. The platform provides flexibility in structure, pacing, and integration, and the support team is highly responsive — making collaboration smooth even during tight rollouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features could be enhanced to better support large-scale deployments. For example, expanded API capabilities would streamline automation for enrollment and tracking. More localized content in French would also improve accessibility for non-English-speaking learners. Lastly, greater flexibility in progress tracking and badging would help align with external systems like our LMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business helps us reduce content production time, especially on complex or fast-evolving topics like AI. Instead of relying solely on in-house authors and lengthy writing workflows, we can now leverage expert-led content that is already up to date and pedagogically structured. This allows us to focus our efforts on curation, contextualization, and learner support, while offering students access to cutting-edge knowledge from world-class institutions.

Coursera for business enables us to provide our students many courses, and manage them accordingly through the reports and prompts. The user interface is also easy to use.

Boosting student employability through microcredentials embedded in the curriculum

  • June 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What we value most about Coursera is the academic quality and diversity of its content, backed by top global institutions. The ability to integrate microcourses directly into our curriculum has been key to developing relevant competencies and strengthening our students’ employability profiles. Additionally, the tracking of progress and certifications allows us to monitor academic impact in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the challenges we face is the gap between registration and course completion: many students register on Coursera but do not complete the courses. This makes it difficult to track academic progress and measure real impact in terms of certification and learning. It would be helpful to have features that encourage continuity and provide early alerts on potential dropouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business has helped us address several strategic challenges:

Improving student employability: By integrating international microcredentials into regular courses, we give our students a competitive edge in the job market from the earliest terms.

Updating academic content: Coursera courses allow us to enrich our curriculum with emerging trends and up-to-date content in areas such as AI, sustainability, and analytics.

Scaling training efforts: We've been able to simultaneously train faculty and staff in key skills, without requiring in-person sessions.

Increasing student motivation beyond minimum requirements: External certifications foster greater commitment to learning and reinforce a strong sense of achievement.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Coursera for Business is its combination of high-quality, expert-led content with flexible, scalable learning options tailored for organizations. It enables employees to learn at their own pace while providing companies with powerful analytics and customization tools to align training with business goals. This blend of accessibility, depth, and management insight makes it an excellent platform for continuous workforce development.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Coursera for Business is that some advanced or niche topics may require additional hands-on practice beyond the online courses to fully master skills, which can limit immediate applicability for certain roles. Also, while the platform offers customization, larger organizations might find integration with complex existing systems occasionally challenging without dedicated IT support. Lastly, the subscription cost might be a barrier for smaller companies with limited training budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera for Business addresses several key challenges faced by organizations in workforce development:

Skill Gaps and Rapid Industry Changes: It helps bridge skill gaps by providing up-to-date courses on emerging technologies and business practices, enabling employees to stay relevant in fast-evolving fields.
