Coursera needs to expand the course list to include more subjects and content
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Coursera for improving my knowledge of my current field and also outside my area of expertise. The knowledge from Coursera makes me empowered and broaden my scope of work. Coursera allows me to take courses with flexible timing which is great option for working individuals like myself.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the topics, the platform works great. The courses are high quality. The diversity of topics is huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
The prices of certification has gone really high. It switched from a free platform to a one that doesn’t let you take a course if you do not pay for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes I used the information from some of the videos to develop concepts in my work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has good content and it has gained credibility through years.

What do you like best about the product?
I like best the courses where you are not bound by weeks, where you can complete as quickly or as slowly as you want to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that more and more of the material is costing money. Not even getting the certificates, but even taking quizzes is sometimes only opened up by paying. I understand you need to make money, but the appeal was the zero-cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I need to learn about topics (coding, analytics, etc), I can take a free Coursera class instead of enrolling in a cost-based program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are tons of excellent courses on here.

Coursera Review

  • November 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is the best website out there to learn new skills. Period.
Also, it is so easy to use and the courses are taught by the best professors from the best universities in the world. Totally worth every penny. But because I also use it in my mentor session in helping students learn new topics in an interactive way with the help of videos and online coding challenges.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get very pricey for students as most of them who are in college are not able to afford it in addition to their college fees etc. They really need to help students more so that they can help and benefit the society with a greater impact.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use it to help my mentees with programming and getting course certificates which can prove beneficial to their careers ahead because they are worth adding to their resumes and CV'S.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Once you try Coursera it will be really hard to switch to any other platform for learning online courses.

One of the Best

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Coursera is the interface. Coursera has a very easy to use interface that allows for better concentration and progress. The website is easy to navigate through and is very well organized. Also, the materials for each course are available even if you do not pay for the certificate, so anyone can learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I dislike about Coursera is the price of the courses. If they could make the courses a little cheaper it would help everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Coursera to teach fellow employees about Data Analytics. This is useful in my organization as a lot of data analytics is used and many employees are not up to date with the latest tools and techniques.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is recommended to others that want to use Coursera that you should definitely take a shot at it. The materials are free so even if you do not want to pay you do not need to.

Great Tool for Those Self-Motivated to Learn

  • October 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Coursera offers a bounty of courses, giving you variety, options and flexibility. I like that real professors, experts in their study, are offering engaging lectures and course work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to motivate yourself to review old learning, lest you fall behind in the class. You are responsible to yourself, primarily, to complete your work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am becoming more of an expert in my field of study and staying onto of the most recent research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I find it best to not exceed more than three courses at a time- allow yourself time to study, review and complete course work. Make sure you are interested in the topic or else it is easy to become disengaged and fall behind in the course.

Coursera online courses

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is highly interactive. I get help from the forum and all my questions get addressed properly. The best feature is the flexibility to change sessions with all the previous work saved.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quizzes in some courses are not the hardest problem sets and I find them very generic. Again, I am stating this based on the two courses that I have taken so my dataset is small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need machine learning and use of Matlab and python for work. I had never taken these classes in school so Coursera has proven to be pretty helpful

What do you dislike about the product?
a lot more things cost money now. they seem to be moving towards a pay model
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
educating individuals without physically attending classes. can connect anywhere
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are looking to add knowledge and are self motivated than this is a good solution

Great platform to add a few new skills

  • September 19, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to learn from your desk at your own convenience
What do you dislike about the product?
The new subscription model isn't in favor of users. I take a longer time to complete courses because of other commitments and I would spend more with the new model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning new skills
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Certifications are good and need commitment. Feel free to learn and get certified if you need it.
