Learning agility at its best

  • May 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Coursera’s skills catalog is vast, constantly updated, and consistently responsive to our evolving needs. As Admins, the ease of creating Learning Paths has been a game-changer, providing HR with an agile and powerful tool to design high-value, tailored development journeys for our people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, final assessments, especially those requiring peer review, can slow down course completion. It might be worth considering the introduction of Skill or Course Champions, empowered to validate assessment quality independently from community feedback. This would help ensure fair evaluation, avoiding situations where feedback is exchanged with the sole intent of receiving a positive review in return.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera has been one of the essential tools to ensure and enhance the employability of all our people. Thanks to the powerful synergy between People & Technology, everyone at SACE had the opportunity to explore emerging and strategic skillsets—acting on future-oriented capabilities to both protect and boost their employability over time.
And, again, the numbers are certainly the first answer to give. Thanks to a tool like Coursera, it was possible to act immediately on the skill gap (both related to emerging skills like Data Insights and Gen AI skills and also related to more technical skills typical of roles in Business, Risk, IT, and HR. Thanks to a platform like Coursera, our Skill Gap Closure on emerging skills (mainly AI & Data) has seen a truly revolutionary improvement! We moved from 30% to 67% proficiency matching, with a +37% increase in critical emerging skill proficiency aligned with our business strategy.
When it comes to core skills across the different skillsets within the organization, we also managed to reduce the skill gap by 7 percentage points, going from 54% to 61% proficiency alignment.
But the most important thing is that the significant push carried out by the entire organization on the concept of learning agility laid the foundation for a radical change in people's mindset and the organization's DNA, which transitioned from being characterized by a large number of verticalities, organizational layers, and specializations to becoming an agile reality, composed of 3 organizational layers and, above all, in continuous transformation. At SACE, in 2024, 12 out of 100 people changed jobs by moving from one department to another within the organization. And all this would not have been possible without the mindset change that allowed for a shift from being role-focused to skills-focused. SACE has become (and continues to strive to be more and more) a skill-based organization that serves as a role model and trendsetter at the national and international levels.

Fueling Expertise & Collaboration at Our Data Consultancy

  • May 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As the Information Manager for Euranova, a specialized Data & AI consultancy, what I appreciate most about Coursera is its powerful combination of high-quality, relevant content and robust platform features that support our agile learning needs. The vast catalog, especially in cutting-edge areas like AI, MLOps, and Data Science, is invaluable for keeping our consultants at the forefront. I was particularly delighted by the flexibility of the Learning Path creation tools, which allow our internal Communities of Practice (CoPs) to curate specific modules from various courses into highly targeted training for onboarding, upskilling, and even unique project handover processes. This feature has been instrumental, allowing us to blend world-class external expertise with our specific Euranova context efficiently. The platform's scalability and accessibility across our offices in Belgium, France, and Tunisia, coupled with its user-friendly interface, have led to impressive adoption rates (50% active users within 8 months) and overwhelmingly positive feedback from our team. It has also freed me up from creating foundational content to focus on more strategic L&D initiatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Coursera's content library is extensive, an area we believe could add even more value is the expansion of dedicated exam preparation content for industry-recognized IT and Data certifications. Having more structured resources, practice exams, and labs specifically tailored to these certifications directly within learning paths would be highly beneficial for our consultants seeking formal validation of their skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera has been instrumental in addressing several key challenges for Euranova:

1. Keeping Pace with Rapid Technological Change: The Data & AI landscape evolves incredibly quickly. Coursera provides us with immediate access to up-to-date courses from leading universities and industry experts, ensuring our consultants can continuously learn and apply the latest skills. This directly benefits our clients through the innovative and expert solutions we deliver.
2. Scaling Consistent and Flexible L&D: Delivering standardized, high-quality training across multiple locations and to consultants with demanding project schedules was a significant challenge. Coursera offers a scalable platform that provides uniform access to learning materials, allowing for self-paced learning that fits around work commitments. This has significantly improved the efficiency of our L&D efforts and supported unique knowledge transfer processes, like successful project handovers built on Coursera paths.
3. Fostering a Culture of Continuous and Collaborative Learning: Coursera supports our 'people + knowledge' model by empowering individuals and our CoPs. We use its content as a foundation for internal workshops (e.g., on soft skills) and for curated learning paths that are deeply integrated into our talent strategy, from onboarding to career development and performance reviews. This has tangibly strengthened our learning culture and employee engagement.

Overall, Coursera has become a vital tool in our talent transformation strategy, helping us equip our workforce with new skills, enhance productivity, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration that is essential for a premium consultancy like Euranova.

Hassle free training

What do you like best about the product?
it is a hassle free training partner which enables onboarding many processes with a click of a mouse. It can be easily integrated with platforms like linkedin to showcase ones' achievements. As most courses are self-paced, it helps to align to personal learning schedule and interests. Customer support is supportive. I would also like to add the presence of community for each (most of) course which help in connections and also serves as discussion forums. Great work.
What do you dislike about the product?
it is best conveyed as 'limitation' rather than 'downside'
The courses developed are generic and cant be special fit for a USP.
However, it does a great job in training and empowering workforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training and empowerment of teachers
