Great Too, Low Barrier To Start

  • September 09, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was really easy to get started. The AWS account auto-population was the best I've seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are small cosmetic issues that still irk me:
- Inability to wrap asset labels
- Can't change arrow (SG/NACL) anchors
- Isn't really obvious how to illustrate AZs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team didn't have an easy way to visualize our AWS infrastructure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a walkthrough Demo with an account exec, it'll save you time in trying to figure out implementation.

Great tool for documentation and first insight

  • June 11, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloudcraft is a great tool to get a first insight of existing environments and to present sketches to my colleagues while discussing about new projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some rare AWS services not supported which I need in my daily business. But all of them are already on the public available roadmap.
In addition the support of other cloud providers would be awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudcraft replaced my pen and paper work when I do a first dive into an existing environment. I like getting an immediate graphical overview over the whole setup.
In addition I like the sharing of blueprints, which helps me in calls with colleagues to present my ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just apply for a trial usage and give it a try the sync with one of your test environments. It is really easy to setup and use.

Fantastic tool to communicate cloud stuff to non-technical audiences

  • May 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and clarity of the user experience.
Availability of recognised icons/logo from AWS products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The export in 2D/3D deserves more attention and it should be up to the viewer to switch mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating cloud architecture decisions to management in a clear and understandable way.

Cloudcraft helps you diagram your infrastructure like no other tool

  • May 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ease of use and the flexibility. You can also sync your diagram with your current AWS architecture which is nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes PDFs are weirdly cut when you export them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used cloudcraft to diagram the architecture to make it clear to everyone in the team where things are and how we intend to setup services or build applications. The benefits is that everyone understands where we are going and how we are deploying our crowd architecture fast.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool thats really easy and gets the job done quickly, look no further.

Beautiful AWS Diagrams & Live Monitoring

  • May 20, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create super professional looking 3D architecture diagrams quickly. All the latest AWS components are available and you can size them appropriately. Although I haven't used this, the ability to export Cloudformation based on a diagram is really cool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature to scan an environment and autogenerate a diagram could use some work. While all the components are present, the layout is super messy. A lot of components that are connected or subscribed to via events are not connected, but should be. Nevertheless, easier than creating all components manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disseminating architecture changes throughout the team, live scanning of account, being able to budget based on granular AWS instance sizes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In order to justify the price, you should really take advantage of the live monitoring and budgeting features.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and connect to my AWS account.
Love the price estimator when building an architecture for a client.
It has all of the AWS objects I use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have folders for the drawings.
Sometimes the PNG export clips objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudcraft allows me to generate client-ready diagrams. It really helps punch up a proposal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely set up the AWS account linking.

Great product and improving

  • May 20, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Cloudcraft by focusing exclusively on AWS diagrams is great.

For instance, the components are not merely visual blocks, they have additional semantics and behaviors. If you select the Lambda component you can specify the memory, requests and running time, and receive the cost estimate. Select an EC2, choose the instance size and see the machine specs, costs and visuals all update at once. Next step: connecting your diagram with your live AWS environment!

isometric views are pretty, but flat diagrams are much more readable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their selection of objects is still lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Draw AWS diagram and export to terraform is fun.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you only draw AWS diagram, this is the choice.

Awesome AWS Companion Diagram Tool

  • April 04, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to do both quick and dirty diagrams, as well as extremely large and in depth diagrams.

You can connect your AWS account to Cloudcraft to list your used resources and costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can only use one angle for diagrams and that can sometimes cause problems with drawing things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming systems for various uses.

Using the diagrams is an easy way to explain systems to new employees without just drawing on a whiteboard.
