Nice experience. Easiness and fastness

Easiness and fastness. Also the feedback it provides

The dashboard on the usage is a little bit complex and the connectors, even if the diversity is growing fast, i'm missing some key ones
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Two problems mainly: 1. to give autonomy to the teams to better include their data into our centralized database. 2. To centralise data faster

Easy to start use, no need to develop your own API call system to sync data from 3rd party vandord

When problems happened, i need a fivetran support and can't fix them by myself

Good Product, Easy Setup, Few Issues
What do you like best about the product?
Setup was straightforward, the connections Fivetran has to different ad platforms were easy to use (just needed to login for the most part).
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, a few syncing issues at first but those are being resolved by our outside consultant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a platform that can easily move data from our ad platforms into our data warehouse. Fivetran came highly recommended because of both the ease of initial setup but also the quality of its integrations.
Great product. Very easily to use and almost maintenance free.
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of connectors. Maintenance-free so far. Affordable. dbt integration is a huge plus
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more connectors, but that may be specific to my use case. UI needs a dark mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and maintenance-free ELT. We've moved quicker with our analytics plans because the data is available and regularly updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare with competitors. Choose based on the connectors you want. One thing to consider is how you will transform the data post-loading it into your db.
Neat integration tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly easy to setup data sources and pipe them where you need especially to Snowflake.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be some quirks with pricing especially APIs. Start small let ecahbconnection settle then evaluate the cost.

Brining in YouTube data alongside add revenue data to generate some attributable metrics relating to video performance
FiveTran - The flexible yet durable ETL
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran handles the simple UI well. Navigating and setting it up can be mainly done without documentation. The challenge we ran into before with other ETL's that had simple UI's is that they weren't very flexible. There would be rigid limitations in terms of the number of connections per account. Or how they would expect specific tables/fields to behave once selected for loading into a destination.
The best part was with Fivetran; all these minor caveats seemed to be handled and resolved.
Fivetran support system is excellent, as a support ticket is automatically created whenever any of your connectors have an issue. Helping you get a head start if a problem arises, which hasn't happened to me yet!

What do you dislike about the product?
The billing system is a bit confusing. While MAR seems like a simple concept, multiple rules make it a bit more complex to understand your bill at the end of the month. It is also pricier than its competitors.
It would be good to see more flexible schedule options. Utilizing the Quartz con expressions that other ETLs use would be a good addition.

A simple Extract and Load process that our internal staff for our clients could easily support.
The largest benefit of using Fivetran has a centralized location to handle all of our client's connections and destinations that is easily supported by a non-technical resource.

Give it a shot for their trial period. Compare to other ETL's and go from there.
Great, solid ELT
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran was very easy to set up and has been rock solid for several months now.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had issues with email alerts going to spam, leading to pipeline problems not being detected for several hours. A slack integration would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have data from multiple sources and a rapidly growing volume of data. We don't have time to have engineers maintain custom etl/elt jobs. Fivetran makes that easy.

Simplicity of loading required data based on the schema information and the ability to transform the data as per our needs, all of them in one-go

As the number of data points to be ELT'ed becomes higher, the cost aspect is not suitable for startups. Therefore limiting the use or pressing us towards open source or scripting Solutions

Benefits: Ability to analyze disparate information sources in a single place rather than using multiple data sources and use excel sheet to understand them altogether.

Simple self-serve no code data integration
What do you like best about the product?
As a SaaS platform, Fivetran eliminates the need for costly replication infrastructure and maintenance. There are many connectors for source and target systems which allows a whole range of possible integration scenarios. Getting up and running takes as little as 10 minutes with easy source (Connector) and target (Destination) configuration. The user interface is clean and informative. Historical loads transition seamlessly into incremental loads. Schema evolution between source and target schemas is handled by the sync automatically. There is also strong integration with dbt for post-load ELT transformations. Syncs can be configured to run as frequently as every 5 minutes, and data pipelines do not compete for resources, unlike some competitors. Security concerns are well-considered, with strong encryption in transit and at rest and a range of regulatory compliance. Documentation is also well written and comprehensive. The Monthly Active Record (MAR) pricing model bills for each primary key seen by Fivetran in a given month, allowing for unlimited record updates without additional cost in that month.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fivetran promote an ELT approach to data integration, which can limit your options for landing data into your target. In our case, we needed to be able to identify the source database within the landed data itself. Without pre-load transformation, we had to work around this by using database/schema naming conventions and extracting the source information in post load transformations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We aggregate data from 100s of SQL Server source databases into a Snowflake data warehouse for data analytics and machine learning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With Fivetran you can move your data around and get the data analytics and insights you need to make critical business decisions in a matter of minutes. Outsourcing the ongoing maintenance of infrastructure, code and connectors allows businesses to focus on what they do best, leaving these data integration concerns to the experts like Fivetran.
Straightforward integrations but support is terrible, business model and pricing are terrible

Variety of connectors, ease of setup, no need to write code for many integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
A simple Google Play Store sync can cost nearly 1000 USD a month. It's not even possible to select specific tables/collections to be synced in most connectors - by design. Support is barely existent and almost 100% based on India so expect only automated or standard answers. Billing is very controversial and shady. Hard to recommend at this point. Fivetran now caters basically to huge organizations willing to spend five digits a month in ELT on the top-tier plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran aims to reduce the need to develop and maintain multiple integrations from many kinds of SaaS to Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake. In my experience, we haven't realized many benefits due to the shady pricing model and non-existent support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not waste your time on the free trial. What happens after is only bad experiences.
