Smooth, Scalable Queries and Easy Onboarding with Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
We use Snowflake for ETL support and reporting and easy to onboard. Queries run smoothly even with large, heavy datasets. The integration with dbt and Tableau have also worked well without requiring extra setup, data sharing data across teams is quick and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs can vary a lot depending on how queries are written, and for new users it’s not always easy to track usage. Some admin work also takes time, especially task like access control. Still, the trade-off has been worth it for us. We’re spending more time on logic and less time troubleshooting performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously our data was spread across multiple systems, now it’s all in one place. Reporting time has decreased, and we’re seeing fewer failures in scheduled jobs. It also makes it easier for teams to access the same data without conflicts, which reduces delays and keeps analytical work moving more smoothly overall.
Smooth Reporting Pipelines with Looker/DBT and Effortless Scaling
What do you like best about the product?
I use Snowflake mainly for reporting pipelines. It integrates smoothly with tools like looker and DBT, and setting up transformations is fairly straightforward. I often rely on cloning tables without duplicating data when I’m testing changes. I also appreciate that storage can scale up without much advance planning and managing queries generally feels simple and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can make it work, but it doesn’t feel very natural. The query history is helpful, yet when I need deeper troubleshooting, it still feels limited snowflake. That said, i do appreciate how user friendly it is especially for people who might not have technical background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to run into reporting delays because we were on shared systems. Now analytics runs separately, so our dashboards stay consistent even when the load is heavy. This keeps our reporting timelines predictable and it’s also been great at storing processing and retrieving large amounts of data.
Snowflake Makes High-Volume Supply Chain Data Loads Smooth and Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
In a supply chain setup, I work with Snowflake every day to manage movement and inventory tracking data. It handles high volume workloads with very small setup requires on my end and I stage files in AWS S3, process everything inside Snowflake SnowFlake and then send the results to Power BI. Our data loads run on a schedule and I rarely run into failures unless something upstream breaks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It really depnds on how people write queries badly written queries can slow things down and drive up costs. What I like is that I don’t have to worry about indexes or tuning the way I did with older systems. And even when multiple teams are running queries at the same time, performance doesn’t degrade much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has taken away much of struggle of handling large SAP MM datasets during peak operations. Stock reconciliation and movement tracking are now faster and smoother, which is a real help during audits and planning cycles. Reporting also runs separately now, so business users can get their numbers sonner without slowing now, so business users can get their numbers sooner without slowing down or impacting daily transactions.
Reliable, Fast Analytics at Scale with Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake has been reliable for handling large datasets. I use it for daily analytics work tied to our PHP applications, and the queries run fast, so I don’t have to spend time worrying about infrastructure management or constant tuning. It also integrates well with BI and ETL tools. Setting up pipelines and connecting external tools feels straightforward and its easy to get everything up and running. The separation of compute and storage is especailly useful when different teams are working at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback is the limited low level control. Still, it reduced the load on production and made our analytics faster, which is a real and compared with other platforms like Snowflake, its a solid option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved our reporting workload out of our main PHP database and into Snowflake. This reduced the load on production and made our analytics faster overall. Now we can run heavier queries without impacting app performnace and queries run fastest and I no longer have to worry about infrastructure management or constant tuning.
Flexible, SQL-Friendly Data Warehousing That Connects Easily with Snowflake and Tableau
What do you like best about the product?
We connect Snowflake with Tableau, ETL tools and even a few Pythod Based workflows. It handles both structured and semi structured data without much trouble. I personally like that SQL works out the box so there’s no need to learn something new. I also appreciate the flexibility to switch between data warehouses when need, which makes it easier to adapt as requirements change.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its flexible , and I have’t run into any issues till now. Everythings works smoothly and I’d personally recommend using it daily to help keep your workflow running without interruptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The cloud database saves us a lot of physical space for storing our databases and it also helps unify data across lending, payments and customer records. We now have a one source of truth, rather than having information split across different systems, which makes it much easier to keep everything consistent.
Fast Performance and Team-Friendly Collaboration Features
What do you like best about the product?
Speed was the first thing I noticed even complex queries return results. I also appreciate the separation between compute and storage, which really helps when multiple teams are working off the same connection with dbt, AWS S3, and Looker, and it has made our overall workflow simpler. Additionally Features such as Time Travel and secure sharing have also been useful for collaborating across teams and keeping work organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little time to understand how warehouses consume credits and some of more advanced settings are not very clear initially monitoring solution itself is solid and being able to manage multiple data sources along with the integration support system on Snowflake works perfectly for what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep my development environment secure without asking for any extra effort on my end. On top of that it pulls together large datasets form multiple sources which cuts down on data silos and keeps queries fast and efficient. Overall i can focus on my work without worrying about infected dependencies or unsafe downloads getting in the way.
Consistent High-Performance Queries for High-Volume Data in Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake we process a high volume of sensor and log data, and snowflake keep queries performance stays consistent even when we’re running with heavy joins. That said the pricing model can feel a bit complex to understand at first, especially when you’re getting started. Writing SQL feels straightforward, and the UI is easy enough to navigate without much training. It integrates well with python scripts, Spark jobs, and even lightweight tools like Zapier for automation task, which makes it easier to fit into our existing workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Python based processing inside snowflake isn’t always as fast as expect. Because of that, I sometimes run transformations externally first, then load the processed results back into snowflake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake helps consolidate both raw and processed data into single system, this cuts down the time we spend switching between tools and improves turnaround time for analysis. We can scale resources up or down as needed and we’re able to run multiple workloads in parallel without running into performance issues.
Faster Queries and Seamless Secure Data Sharing with Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
Handling large voulmes of inspection data in Snowflake used to feel slow for us, but it handles that workload much better now. Queries that previously took minutes are completing far faster, which has made our day to day analysis noticeably smoother. I also appreciate the secure data sharing features, since we can share datasets with extral vendors aithout having to create duplicates or maintain extra copies. On to of that, Snowflake integrations with tools like Salesforce and Zapier have been useful for keeping data in sync across systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my experience, Python user defined functions tend to be slower than SQL based operations. SO when we have heavier transformations to do in Snowflake, we’all sometimes run that processing outside of Snowflake first and then load the transformed results back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake helps us maintain a single consistent version of high quality data across teams. This reduces confusion and makes sure everyone is working fron the same numbers, which keeps our reporting aligned.
Smooth Data Movement, Effortless Scaling, and Strong Secure Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I use Snowflake alongside Spark and a few custom APIs Data moves smoothly between these systems. The compute scaling is partcularly useful when I’m running heavy queries and I rarely need to manually adjust resources much. Secure data sharing is another standout feature when collaborating with external teams and the governance is solid continues to keep pace as our data grows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Handling a large number of small files can impact performance, so I sometimes have to preprocess the data before loading it. That adds an extra step to my workflow, but aside that I haven’t run into any major issues. Its almost good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It centralizes data pipelines and helps cut down processing delays. I can run analyses more fastest without having to worry about backend limitations, even when we’re handling data masking and integration to support third party business needs.
Fast, Reliable Data Sharing That Fits Seamlessly Into Our Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake data sharing feature is something I use on alot. It allows departments can access the same dataset without having to duplicate it, which keeps things simpler and more consistent.
