Snowflake Review 2019
What do you like best about the product?
I most appreciate the cloud accessibility and ability to access different data sources
What do you dislike about the product?
I most dislike the web browser UI. It feels underdeveloped from a user stand point - I was very excited to see the preview of the new version coming soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Different data sources. The largest benefit is the elasticity in resources that are instantly resizeable.

Easy to learn, powerful when needed
What do you like best about the product?
able to scale up and down based on load. Can handle json data easily (using variant data type).
What do you dislike about the product?
user interface is sometimes buggy (pop ups from left hand panel get "stuck")
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
creating a clean intuitive warehouse for analysts. roles functionality has allowed for "clean-up" of user interface.
Data Warehouse at its best
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature that I like about Snowflake as a database or data warehouse is the ability to Clone the data at no extra cost, and create Dev, test and Prod environments. the ability to go back in time are few of the best features. Being a develop I'm always fearful of accidentally dropping tables and not actually having backup scares me. but Snowflake eliminates that with features like time travel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto correct or auto complete are few of the features that I would be interested in. But with Snowflake acquiring Numeracy, I'm hopeful to have a lot more query edit features.added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are Snowflake partners that are trying to help clients to move from their legacy systems to Snowflake.

What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake allows many companies expand their data profile into the cloud easily and with a large performance improvement over traditional data warehouses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real thing that annoys me is that F5 refreshes the screen instead of running the query. Simple things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are helping our clients move off of old architecture and help them improve response times and cut down on costs.

You can not go wrong - go for it
Low barrier to entry
What do you like best about the product?
true separation of compute and storage, flexibility of spinning up warehouses, pass through cost of the storage. Easy to spin account up. Like the ability to re-size warehouses on the fly without restarting the underlying process
What do you dislike about the product?
unique SQL functions (not uncommon to any db provider). Heavy scripting to get data loaded, heavy scripting to build out the user groups, roles, grants, etc. around security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing our data into one repository; migrating from Teradata EDW to snowflake. Benefits are performance, low compressed storage usage/cost.
Motivated by seeing how data can not just enhance business organizations but also enrich life

Architecture that provides better Performance requires minimum maintenance

I feel this was the first time and that's why a few things were missing e.g. checkins over limit and am sure it will all be taken care by next time.

we are the new customers to snowflake and was her to get more insights. I clearly see a huge revolution not just in our company however all around the world who are using traditional systems today.
Snowflake has made Data Security and Sharing a Breeze!
What do you like best about the product?
Data sharing is easily my favorite aspect of Snowflake.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the UI, although it's not the selling point, I wish it looked nicer!

We're solving data sharing to our customers by leveraging reader accounts.
