While expensive, Snowflake is the most full-featured, flexible, easy-to-use DBaaS on the market!
What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly easy to use. Little DB admin work is ever necessary.
Ability to scale your compute needs instantaneously.
Integrates with a massive list of 3rd party tools. Virtually every SaaS product that can integrate with a DB has a native Snowflake integration.
Huge ecosystem of ready-to-serve 3rd party data sources.

What do you dislike about the product?
Snowflake is expensive.
It would be helpful if Snowflake integrated AI into the database more to help laypeople with performance tuning, query optimization, warehouse & cost management, etc. An inexperienced user can easy blow a lot of cash in Snowflake - without even realizing it - until the bills come due.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run BI for my company and play a big role in data ops as well. Snowflake serves 3 major purposes for me:
1. It is our BI data warehouse. We ingest all our data to Snowflake and present it in Looker (which integrates natively with snowflake)
2. It is our data lake. In addition to ingesting just about any data we can into Snowflake, we use DBT to munge all the data together to produce final tables that we then push out to our 3rd party SaaS apps (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot, Appcues, Customer.io, Zapier, Python/NodeJS services).
3. It serves as a low-volume transactional DB. Tools like Zapier, Pipedream, and Python/NodeJS services use Snowflake to push & pull transactional data where necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
We love how it separates storage and compute so we can scale with client project needs. Queries run fast even on large tables and we can spin up new warehouses in minutes This flexibility works well when we need to test new features or run analytics without worrying about infrastructure limits
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be simpler for new team members rest i dont have complaints about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we used Snowflake we struggled with slow queries and data siloing across environments. Now we can centralize log data ETL builds and client reports in one place.It helps our devs and data analysts collaborate more effectively and speeds up delivery.

What do you like best about the product?
Maintain the data with Snowflake is very good and reliable for us because their analytical dashboards gives a best user interface to analyze the datasets for creating useful insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am stuck where I am not able to connect my company internal database and I connect with their team and they fix the bug issues and solve the problem for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They have number of features where we can manage all types of data management related works only on snowflake and also they have reliable platform. Their pricing is the only part that create a hassle for us and otherwise all experience was really great for me.

Third party integration and exporting data is quite simple and efficient.

Role Based Access Control sometimes gets messy, and data sharing is expensive.

Storing the data and reusing it in 3rd party application.
Snowflake made data storage and analysis fast and easy to manage.

Its scalability, ease of use, and fast query performance are what I like best about Snowflake.

Cost management can be tricky, especially with frequent queries or large data volumes.

Snowflake solves data silos by centralizing data from multiple sources, making it easier to run fast, scalable analytics and generate insights efficiently.
Best cloud data warehousing software with data pre processing functionality as well
What do you like best about the product?
I use snowflake mainly for business intelligence and analytics. Its performance and scalability is high end. I can also select more resources for running queries whenever required. And to the top of it is its integration with dashboarding tools which allows seamless representation of data that we have stored in snowflake
What do you dislike about the product?
Felt some glitches with new console (queries sometimes stop when tabs switched) in running queries. Else everything is great.

It's solving my problem of easily accessing all data from one place and writing high end data pre processing and analysing queries in SQL and python. Finally, integrating and representing the final structured data into different dashboarding tools
A game changer for cloud based data warehousing
What do you like best about the product?
We build a centralised data warehouse on Snowflake to aggregate logistic data from Europe, Asia and North America. We use this setup to power real-time dashboards for our operations and customer service team. One of my favourite feature of Snowflake is its seamless integration with our existing ETL tool like Apache Airflow. The native support for semi structured data like JSON helped us on board external vendor feeds with minimal efforts. What I like best about Snowflake is its easy to use SQL interface and its learning curve is almost negligible for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the implementation overall was smooth, but the cost structure required some time to optimise. Our initial test runs were costlier than expected until we tuned warehouse sizes and auto suspend settings. Additionally, role based access control was a bit complex to configure initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team’s daily productivity has gone up and we no more wait hours for batch jobs or struggles with performance bottlenecks. We have also build an automated alerting system using Snowflake which has reduced our manual monitoring efforts by at least 30%.

- database itself is by far the most feature rich, includes all analytics, statistics, ML, AI and many more
- enables batch and streaming processing, provides native SCD solution
- very secure by design
- scaleable performance from tiny to huge sandboxes (VPS)
- zero copy cloning db/schema/table enables you to have production env for testing in couple minutes

- as any other cloud solution it gets quite expensive if you don't pay attention to proper ELT solution

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Snowflake is its speed, scalability, and how easy it makes working with complex SQL queries. I deal with layered CTEs, large datasets, and performance analysis daily, and Snowflake handles it smoothly with minimal latency. The ability to scale compute resources on demand is a big advantage—especially when running resource-intensive queries.

What I dislike about Snowflake is that while it's powerful, some parts of the user experience and debugging process could be improved.
