Reliable proxy network with flexible options
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most in Bright Data is stable of its proxy network that helps us collect data that we need without interruptions. Access can thus be retrieved consistently, and the firewall which enables this, ensures that automatic IP rotation to keep moving to a new IP address. Residential and mobile proxies come in different variety for different data gaining necessities. I also consider their commitment to ethical practices to make sure we continue complying. When speed is the main thing, their pre organized data sets are perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback of Bright Data is the cost, especially for high traffic project. Usage of proxy can increase quickly and some features are locked to more expensive tiers. The service is reliable but some sites will still detect and block you from accessing them. Unfortunately, the dashboard is clunky packed features at first. Also, it takes a bit of trial and error to set up the right configurations, however, this can slow down first workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to access publicly available information has made competitive research much more efficient with Bright Data. This means we can obtain data in hours in the fraction of the time it would’ve taken before. Having the ability to source pricing for product, the sentiment of our customer, and industry trends has massively affected our business strategy. It also ensures that ethical data collection is complied with, which is largely important for trust building. This has freed up time for more in depth analysis of the information.
Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Poor Communication
What do you like best about the product?
Nothing, absolutely nothing. Wasting my time only.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Bright Data. I was flagged for no reason whatsoever, despite not even having used the service. To make matters worse, a scheduled Google Meet was canceled without any prior notice or explanation.
This level of mismanagement and lack of communication is completely unacceptable. If this is how they handle basic coordination, I can’t imagine how they deal with more important matters. I would not recommend relying on them if you expect professionalism and accountability.
Avoid if you value your time.

Absolutely not solving anything.
A user friendly tool with a responsive support team
What do you like best about the product?
One great aspect of Bright Data is the variety of data collection options it offer. There are a marketplace for existing datasets, a scraper API, and the IDE scraper, providing significant flexibility for our data collection tasks. I’m also impressed by their support team. No matter it’s a billing issue or a technical problem, they respond and resolve things quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get familiar with the IDE scraper, but overall I’m satisfied given its effectiveness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have specific data to collect for research purposes, and due to the large volume, we need a more structured framework to support the data collection process.
Best dataset marketplace platform out there.
What do you like best about the product?
Bright Data is one of the best dataset marketplace available. The BD team is suoer helpful and the data is amazing. API and dashboard are both user friendly and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing which can be improved, although it way above others is, its documentation of dataset marketplace in terms of usage, filter etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bright data has ready to use dataset, which earlier, took a lot of time for us to scrape and extract.
Reliable way to collect structured market insights
What do you like best about the product?
Regarding how Bright Data effectively extracts structured details from several sources, that’s one of the best features. It helps us to keep an eye on competitor pricing and fluctuations of the inventory, gaining a clearer view of industry trends. This saves the time of collecting information manually and helps us to focus on analysis. One of the advantages is that it permits making changes of search parameters each time required, so that the information collected stays important and actually contemporary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Bright Data is that request completion is not always consistent. The system is usually reliable, but there are times it gets interrupted so there needs to be some adjustment, and it delays progress a little. It also suffers from the disadvantage of cost variability whereby charge is dependent on the number of requests made. It needs careful tracking of usage to not exceed the budget. The service is useful but comes with an additional effort to optimize the process in terms of efficiency with minimum expenditure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bright Data has changed how we obtained market insights from what was a slow, manual process. Instead of wasting hours amassing info and sources, now we get the data structured that aids us in taking quicker business decisions. This gave us more ability to monitor competitor behaviour, alter pricing strategies and respond to changes in demand. Because we have been able to reduce the manual research, we have been able to spend more time doing with insights, rather than gathering them.
The tool I needed !
What do you like best about the product?
Very powerful, easy to use, fast and efficient support, very flexible billing method
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate the creation of online community
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Removes the blocking for accepting cookies and provides many configuration possibilities, while avoiding blockings
This software transformed our approach to data extraction
What do you like best about the product?
The data collection automation features of Bright Data represent the best available solution as manual data collection proves to be very labor-intensive. The system enables the extraction of data from multiple online resources automatically without requiring continuous human interaction. The automation feature has created free time for our main operational work. The collected data achieved high reliability and consistency which became sufficient for making decisions along with tracking market trends.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bright Data provides access to most sites but our team has encountered restricted access to specific websites. Data scraping operations encounter active website restrictions that prevent our process from functioning. Your time will be diverted to handle issues along with finding workarounds to deal with them. The process becomes an additional difficulty that reduces software efficiency because of its unnecessary nature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The data collection problem has been resolved through Bright Data solutions which eliminate slow and unproductive processes. The implementation of Bright Data eliminated our previous need to manually gather data from multiple sources because it established an efficient system that retrieves the required data quickly and precisely. The tool has freed up several hours of logistical work which allowed us to dedicate those hours into developing our strategic approach. The efficiency enhancement through Bright Data resulted in substantial productivity growth while decision making relies on real-time factual information.
Saving precious time and manual work by utilizing the no-code Web Scraper API for social media
What do you like best about the product?
With a limited amount of technical data in scraping, I found that the no-code scrapers were very helpful and exactly what I needed to focus on my work. The amount of time that it saved me is now invested in continuing my research and analyzing a much larger dataset that would have taken me months to collect.
I am now able to fully control my collection with many self service options on their platform, enabling me to collect that data for my research for the next two-months at ease. After the first few snapshots collected, I received a clean dataset as a CSV file where I am now able to analyze with my team.
Something important to note as an academic researcher is the data collection integrity and methods, therefore I was happy to learn about their ethical approach regarding their data collection. Knowing that they are compliant with the GDPR and CCPA was very helpful for our team when presenting the methods of our data collection to our professors. Bright Data's "Trust Center" page was very informative and addressed may of our questions regarding the ethical aspect of scraping as we were slightly hesitant as we are less familiar with such technologies.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think that having a no-code data collection from social media was exactly what we needed so I'm not quite sure if I have something to dislike.
The team was very helpful and and addressed all of our questions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a less technical researcher, Bright Data solved a lot of manual work and precious time collection posts from social media for our research.
This not only saved us time, but also granted us a larger scale of information and structured it to a CSV file with all the needed meta data including additional information that we didn't know we can get.

🚨 Avoid at All Costs – Worst 2FA Nightmare
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, almost nothing. Their service is more of a burden than a solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bright Data’s 2FA system is a complete disaster. Logging in can take days, leaving paying users locked out with zero access. Their customer support is useless—ignoring complaints, offering no real solutions, and showing no urgency. It’s absurd how a company that provides data services can’t even manage a functional login system. This isn’t just frustrating; it’s outright negligence. If they refuse to fix basic access issues, why should anyone trust them with their data?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of solving problems, Bright Data is creating them. Their broken 2FA system locks users out for days, rendering their services completely useless. Any potential benefits are erased by the sheer frustration of simply trying to log in. A platform that makes access this difficult is more of a liability than a solution.
An Essential Resource for Academic Research
What do you like best about the product?
As a researcher at an academic institution, I’ve found Bright Data to be an incredibly useful tool for collecting high-quality web data. I used it to gather LinkedIn data for one of my research projects, and the platform was intuitive, flexible, and made it super easy to filter and find exactly what I needed. The variety of export options was also a big plus.
If you’re an academic—especially in the social sciences—Bright Data is a great resource for accessing different types of web data that can be applied in many research contexts. Several of my colleagues have also used it for their projects, and they’ve had similarly positive experiences.
On top of that, the support team and account managers are fantastic—super responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Overall, Bright Data has been a game-changer for my research, and I’d highly recommend it!

What do you dislike about the product?
The only caveat I had is that some observations got lost in the process of initial export, but the support team quickly resolved the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Readily available data that I would need to scrape on my own. This saves lots of time and resources invested in data collection.
