Embedded reporting is simple for data ingest and very easy to use, only tool on the market for self-service embedded reporting functionality.

Haven't spent enough time using the product to find major areas for improvement yet.

Embedded web-based application reporting

Logi: Solid, Yet Not Always Logical

  • February 17, 2015
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
The product is best for its bells and whistles. Interactive dashboards, reasonable flexibility for various scripts, including CSS compatibility for design. Ad hoc product very useful for power users. Very pleasant user interface for the main product, with plenty of room for customization.
What do you dislike?
This is not easy to use without a LOT of practice. I found that more complicated SQL stored procedures did not easily import as hoped. Memory issues will occasionally happen on a limited server. The administrative controls are hard to learn at first.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Our company has been looking to refine our business intelligence system, in hopes of moving to a full data warehouse system. So our marketing team, solid on the UI experience, ultimately made the Logi decision.

What do you like best?
its suits best if you have external user (outside your Intranet) as there is no additional cost of end users.
Security features are quite strong
What do you dislike?
Development tool - there is no canvas where you can see how the report would look like. So, not a very good tool for designing graphical chart report.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It help us spot and act on critical business situation.
Inform customers (advisers, network etc) about how they are performing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Logi has best licensing model is server-based, which allows companies to empower as many end-users as they need at no additional cost.

Logi Analytics Review

  • February 13, 2015
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
LA is best suited for dashboard-ing and website plugin designs.
What do you dislike?
LA is less proficient at web reporting. Knowledge of XML, JavaScript, and web development is beneficial in learning the tool. Low amount of user forums. Resulting application fileset is heavy
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Wide array of ways to gather data into the tool, Extremely flexible components that are also easy to use for beginners
Great support from the company on getting the tool to adhere to your needs. Able to run on either Windows or Linux systems. Detailed and highly available documentation within the tool on how to use every piece of functionality
Recommendations to others considering the product:
LA is a great solution if you need just the user interface. However there are other tools stronger at the overall data flow which include a user interface as part of their product.

What do you like best?
IT is very flexible, easy to learn and has a great look to it.
What do you dislike?
I would like it to have more programming built into it.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It helped us to give a visual of our monetary gifts and pledges given to the school. It gives the higher up chain of command a visual of the data we have stored in the database.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Send the tech staff to training to help with the learning curve of the product

Logi - Powerful tool that needs more community

  • June 03, 2014
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Logi has some powerful features, included cross-tab (dynamic) data tables, charts that have a ton of customization, full access to the style sheet and the ability to add custom CSS and JavaScript to reports, data-layer cacheing, task/email scheduling, and report security using AD Groups. What I like best about Logi is the ability to build pretty much anything as long as your know a decent amount about web development and have strong SQL skills.
What do you dislike?
There isn't much of an open community to help trouble-shoot issues. And you will run into some obscure behavior if you are heavily using the app where you need that community. Also, you need to to be very good at SQL to take advantage of Logi effectively.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I use Logi for a large range of problems, from high-level aggregate reporting of company health to showing a single sales representative their stats and rank for the day. Once you really understand Logi, the ability to take high-level metrics and drill-down to the very detailed layer can be done in an elegant way for the consumer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We chose logi for the price and feature set. However, the ramp-up and training time for developers may be more expensive than other industry tools that have a higher license cost.

What it does, it does well

  • May 30, 2014
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
The simplicity of the Logi Analytics software allows for a full deployment and configuration with little-to-no hassle. What works, works 'out of the box'. Security is easy to setup across multiple instances, and the built-in toolsets allow for quick and easy report design and implementation.
What do you dislike?
The customization of reports is very limited. There are not a lot of options for designing specific reports that are tailored to customer specifications, and functionality within these basic reports is highly limited (without digging into the code). The user interface also feels rather dated.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The simple and fast deployment of reports is where Logi Analytics shines. Within a few minutes a functional report may easily be created and utilized for customer benefit. The built-in security features also allow for scalable, intuitive deployment across multiple instances and customer bases. Reporting templates may be created and shared amungst various deployments, saving both time and energy.

What do you like best?
The ability to pull data from many different sources onto one report.
What do you dislike?
The gui interface for designing reports in the design view is clunky and slow
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are putting together a dashboard for the executive leadership team. This has allowed us to pull data from multiple sources and shoew them on one report
